This is easily one of the CRAZIEST videos I've ever gotten. I was rafting down a river when a Yellow Jacket came, landed on my bright pink waterproof phone pouch, and started drinking from the water droplets that had gathered there.

The most amazing part is how the water droplet magnifies the Hornet's mouth parts, so you get to see them up-close!!!! It was FASCINATING to witness!

I kinda like the idea of jax becoming a cautionary tale of what happens when you let dysphoria and self hatred eat you alive. I've met so many of him IRL in my own circles. I think people need to hear it. I need more characters who eat themselves alive and actually have to suffer the consequences of not choosing to be better. It's pretty refreshing to see a different and nuanced take on dysphoria and how it doesn't always manifest the way you would expect.

#yeah #i dont think jax was saved at the end. because. in my eyes abstraction (suicide) is a one way street #she regretted it at the end. she did. she DID. she died scared and alone and mad at herself for rejecting all the love that was given #and she died alone. scared. and reaching back for pomni's hand when it was already too late. far too late.#which is EXTREMELY grim for a fantasy. and you can-- reasonably-- argue that this isnt what happened #but it... it makes perfect sense when you view it as a cautionary tale.#that being said i would never deny anyone the desire to see a trans woman have a happy ending. i certainly think as-written it's probable.#especially with that “and friendship is magic! you cant do this alone!” circus gang moment towards the end there #im just... the tragedy enjoyer. (also the final shot of their irl lives being fine was enough to dull the grim edge for me)
