some thoughts about the ZOMBST MV

There is a lot of discourse going around about Mizi’s feeling after she became an idol, and that she has internalized homophobia and that she forgot Sua after she became an idol.

But, I believe that after Mizi’s debut, the entertainment industry forced her into a role where she is constantly sexualized and exploited for the male gaze. So Mizi, goes with the flow because she doesn’t know how to escape this reality and copes through acting indifferently to everything around her, the sexualization, the industry forcing her into a label she isn’t and even Sua. I think in the end of their relationship, she is heavily depressed and does not know how to escape so she doesn’t even try to keep her relationship with Sua up, she ISNT herself anymore, her spark is gone and she is stripped out of everything she is to fit into this mold the industry created for her so she literally can’t be with Sua.

Also an observation where Mizi is rejecting Sua’s clematis’s which represents how their relationship is REALLY over now and is a really cool callback.

In the end, I really liked this mv explored Sua’s character and her undying love for Mizi. She cannot give up on this love and in the end she turns into a zombie with a kiss from her beloved Mizi and has a twisted fairytale ending. And even after ‘death’ she cannot forget her love for Mizi and tries to live out that love zombiefied even though Mizi is long gone and cannot reciprocate it.

Sua grabs her chin for the kiss, holds a hand that doesn’t hold it back, looks to Mizi for her to never look back, it’s really tragic that their love story which was so pure at the beginning ends like this.

Finally finished the main things for my ALNST oc! The only thing I don’t know is her MBTI bc I have no knowledge about how it works,,,

Her revamped design next to her segyein, Ihle! I tried to make her design fit with the others, especially didn’t want her outfit to be too ‘modern’, but there is no way to know what fashion trends have continued to the aliens so I just freelanced :P

Her stats! She is just average in everything she does. However has the potential to be above it a little bit, she just doesn’t see a point in trying.

More stats! I kind of don’t get the chart cuz I don’t know anything about market values but I tried,,

She is basically a npc. Her friends are Acorn and Marty and she doesn’t interact with the core four, they do gossip about them. Especially ivantill with how much Acorn sees of them.

Guard! Mizi x 50th Alien Stage Winner! Sua

Obvi because guards have only recently been confirmed to be human we don’t have enough info about them. Like idk how she got the job or anything but for the sake of the au she is one! Am I doing this solely to draw buff Mizi? We’ll never know :P since she never went to ANAKT, she never had the desire to play a part and pretend to be the optimistic, happy girl.

She is stoic and good at what she does but doesn’t like her job at all(obviously), she pities the contestants and feel glad she never took that route.

Also kind-of a yandere after meeting Sua. Making sure she is the winner even if it means doing dirty work. Ensures her victory.

The first time they met, apart from Mizi seeing Sua in advertisements for the upcoming season, was when Sua won R1. Since Sua never had someone close to her at ANAKT, she never had self sacrificing tendencies and as such just entered the stage with a determination to win. (She never thought about giving her life to someone else, she was too ‘selfish’ for that. Until she met Mizi. When they inevitably became close, Sua started to care for someone for te first time. It was the first time she had thought that there was something more precious than her life.)

+ Sua also didn’t have a support system because of Mizis non existence, she also grew more apathetic and cold as there was no one to meld her heart. Especially was hard to be alone with the constant abuse of her Guardian.

ROUND 1: When they first ‘meet’, Mizi is a big mess. She knew Sua from all the ads but seeing her looking like an angel on the stage, it’s all a big gay panic for her. She stares wayyy too long and it makes Sua pretty uncomfortable.

ROUND 7: The last round is when they finally take up their relationship to the next level. (Don’t ask what happens in the middle cause idk) The tension finally breaks behind the stage and Sua is stuck with messy hair and crumbled clothes minutes before going onto stage :D

the FINAL ROUND outfit for sua ! She wins obvi, but idk how. (also dk if this outfit is too simple for the last round, however anything else that I tried to came up with was a bit too modern so this is the one! Kinda fits her aesthetic imo)

Would Luka be able to manipulate her because she never had anyone she cared about in the garden so he can’t use that against her. At the same time she is developing a relationship with a guard that is mostly attraction rather than emotional (for now) so could Luka use that to manipulate her? But /at the same time/ does Luka know about the off-stage stuff? Does his reign of terror extend to the BTS parts as well? I don’t know :P

+bonus: ivantill living their best rebel lives! no Mizi = no reason to not escape ANAKT, so they have been with the rebels since they were young! Happily together, happily rescuing children!!!

timeskip Mizi design! Not sure how she could survive 7 years without any help but here she is! - I’m not really well-versed in scars but basically she has lost her right eyesight because of her burns and other than her big scar (which starts at the right side of her face and goes down) she has some small scars from the flame flickers

-also has sunburnt and it has come to a point where her sunburn become one with her skin, it’s very dry and reddish

-also is very dehydrated + hungry,,,

not sure if the dessert setting in the comic is like a huge landscape or just a space between two cities? but I’ve decided to go for huge landscape for this one!

For the Sua hallucination, I hc that she appears every time Mizi is in a bad headspace and she doesn’t leave until Mizi stops wallowing and gets tf up. not sure if that is plausible in a physiological sense but it is a fun hc :P

++ after some time I think Mizi starts to resent Sua because she always makes her move forward and continue this torture. And think of Sua as cruel even though she is aware that it is her mind that is acting up

Also small messy comic! Like I’ve said it’s this constant torture where Mizi is basically arguing with herself, one part wants to rest; the other move. And the persistent part manifests by the form of Sua. not sure why, just a cool idea :P

Some old doodles I made when I was in a Juliet x Kate craze back when I was watching s3-s4! I was very motivated to draw them,, honestly I think I will draw them more later because the mechanic!Juliet x new recruit!Kate au of s5 is still fresh in my mind 🤤

I drew this before I finished the series so there may be some inconsistencies,, this is basically a no Jacob au where Kate married (and then divorced) her husband (the police from s4/3??, the only man she married I think) and Juliet is newly widowed and still working as a scientist (overworked)

Some unfinished chibi work and the the one where Kate is pinning down Juliet is in a hypothetical situation set in the episode they got handcuffed tgt (where my craze started)
