No, I can't be normal about Tobias Animorphs. He grew up forgotten and neglected and that didn't break him. He joined a war he didn't understand and wasn't prepared for and he didn't flinch. He lost his humanity and became a wild animal and he kept going. He was tortured by a psychotic alien and he still protected his friends.

He's the human son of an alien Prince, a bird with the mind of a boy, a victim who became a protector. He watched over them all, looking out for threats and danger. He never even suspected that the worst danger would come from one of the first people to ever stick up for him setting in motion the death of the first person who showed him real love.

These books came out while my brain was still undercooked, how am I supposed to be normal about this?
