Final product will be a single Excel Spreadsheet (.xlsx file) for one language that contains instructions on how to use and expand the language. Unfortunately I don't have enough experience with vector files or fonts to provide digital versions of the writing systems I make so photos of hand-drawn characters are all I offer for now.
Payment is minimum 50% upfront and the rest upon completion before the final product is delivered, as it divides the trust evenly between two unfamiliar parties. I accept payment through Venmo and Ko-fi only (no crypto or other bullshit).
I stand firmly against the use of generative AI in creative spaces and in general. I do not and will not ever use any AI tools in the creation of any of my art in any way shape or form, linguistic or otherwise. Any work that I present as my own has been made in good faith by myself, and I will do my due diligence to credit any and all contributors and/or collaborators. If I have failed to do so, please inform me.
Refunds: if something occurs where I will not be able to fulfill a commission, I will do what I can to return any money given to me. However if significant work has been put into a commission before an event that prevents its completion, the initial 50% payment will not be refunded.
Usage: My work is intended for personal use. If the language I make for you is used in a publicly released creative project, I ask that you credit me. Please notify me if you plan on using your language commercially, as my terms and pricing will then change.

This reminds me of that time my (Czech) family went to Poland for my uncle's wedding (because my aunt - his wife - is Polish and they decided to get married in Poland).
The wedding afterparty was in full swing, everyone was drinking and partying.... and an elderly Polish lady approached my two aunts (who were also drinking a lot and partying hard) and commented something along the lines of "jesteście odporne". Which in Polish means "you're resilient" (as in they're handling the alcohol well) but in Czech it means "you're disgusting".
It took my aunts a bit to remember that it means something different in Polish. 😅
'pozor' in Czech means 'watch out!', but means 'shame' in Russian
droga in czech means drug, in polish it means road
záchod in czech means toilet, zachód in polish means 'west'
odchod 'to depart' in Czech means very specifically 'to depart by foot', while in Slovak it has a bit wider meaning, and buses and trains also combine with 'odchod'. To a Czech speaker this gives the funny implication that departing trains grow legs and walk out of the train station
Croatian 'mrdati' = to wiggle, means 'to have sex' in Czech
'Čerstvý, voňavý chléb' is Czech for 'fresh, nicely smelling bread'. In means the opposite in some slavic languages 'stale, stinky bread'. This kind of 'good meaning in one but bad meaning in other' duality happens surprisingly often actually, see also úžas and odporný above
otrok in Czech means 'slave' but in Slovenian and perhaps other South slavic languages it means 'child'. Very funny when combined with bazaar, turns a perfectly fine baby bazar into a slave bazaar
My friend has a fun sentence from Slovenian - "Hitri otroci kuhali jed na Dunaji". Literally none of the words here mean what a Czech thinks they mean. No not even Dunaj. Czechs read it as 'smart slaves were disemboweling poison by the Donau river', original Slovenian meaning is 'fast children were cooking food in Vienna'
Edit: wait one more. "srpanj" in Croatian means July, "srpen" in Czech means August. Listopad in Croatian means 'October', in Czech means 'November'. rujan in Croatian means 'September', říjen in Czech means 'October'. kwiecień in Polish means 'April', kviteń in Ukrainian also means 'April', květen in Czech means 'May'. Months are fucked up.
Witches in the modern-day track and record faeries via radios. Mind you, faeries are not winged creatures in my world but rather living radio signals that can alter their surroundings to an unknown extent.
Modern witches, as stated, can record and modify these signals to allow them to control the magic inflicted upon their surroundings. They do this through mixing and distorting the faeries.
Glamour, the magic of faeries, has three specific effects that can occur. It can change the properties of an object, entity, or place. Be it a perceived property such as how familiar you think someone is. Be it a physical property such the density of a rock. Or be it a spacial property such as where a door leads.
Glamour will often swap or copy these properties from things around and apply them to the unprotected items nearby.
These notations track the unwieldy frequencies in the faeries to allow modern witches to calculate, mix, and control artificial faeries.
fun fact: the most common word to express something being Not Good in the english language is the word "bad". This word is sourced from the word bæddel, which is a transmisogynistic slur dating back hundreds of years. Its all transmisogyny!!! All of it!!!!! Its transmisogyny all the way down!!! the most concise and common word to express something being negative in the English language is derived from a transmisogynistic slur. what the fucking fuck. how am i not supposed to lose my mind over how fucking pervasive hatred for trans women is and has always been.

Our language is so right about so many animals. One of my favorites is the word for wolf: Waawoono (Wah-wu-no). That is absolutely the noise that wolves make lmao
