I dont have âheteroâ ships bc if I ship two characters who are a woman and a man that means theyâre both bisexuals
anyway even when not allowed to perform quads alena kostornaiaâs short would have put her fourth in the menâs grand prix final
my policy for âtheyâre just doing it for attentionâ has always been and always will be âthen someone needs to pay attention to themâ
yes.

like okay i know astrology is fake but itâs real
why isnât anyone allowed to be wrong anymore? itâs okay to be wrong. no one should be terrified of every tiny little mistake they might make. being wrong, and realizing you were wrong, is how you learn and grow and change.

Why Iâm protesting tomorrow and why itâs still worthwhile to do so
So, letâs get one thing straightâour boycott of Tumblr tomorrow (or rather, in about 2 hours) will do nothing to reverse the porn ban. You see, the reason why Tumblr is changing their terms of service is because FOSTA-SESTA, the Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act and Stop Online Sex Trafficking Act, will hold social media companies liable for any sex trafficking that occurs on their platforms. This has nothing to do with Apple (though the App Storeâs removal of Tumblr did speed up this process) and everything to do with Tumblr not wanting to be liable. Tumblr doesnât want to put in extra effort to be compliant with the law, and so we get the porn ban. As shitty and harmful as it is, thereâs nothing we can do about that.
However,
My primary issue with this ban (besides the harm it causes to sex workers, especially those in the LGBT community) is with the way it is being enforced. The types of nudity that Tumblr is claiming will be allowed are based on subtle, human ideas. These ideas are being fed to a computer system that, in essence, only has two brain cells and cannot differentiate such subtleties. Weâve already seen instances of types of nudity that Tumblr explicitly stated were okay, such as the statue of David and nudity in the name of protest, being flagged. Weâve seen the hundreds of photos of cats, clothed humans, and landscapes being flagged due to looking similar to humans. And finally, weâve seen dozens of porn bots, which weâve complained about for years, not being flagged after getting around the filtration by merely tagging their posts as âsfw.â This is not okay. When @staff decides to punish innocent people (yes, that includes sex workers) while not fixing the problems this community has been complaining about for years because theyâre too lazy for any real action, thatâs when I become upset.
Iâll admit that Iâve lost hope in this website. Iâll admit that, at this point, I donât think there will be a way to make nsfw content âlegalâ on this platform again. But I do think we can at least convince staff to change the way theyâre trying to go about doing this. I do think we can at least try.

Mistaking an accusatory question for a curious one is, ah, a recipe for interesting encounters.
This morning I went to use the public restroom and a woman asked, âWhat are you doing in here?â
âPeeing?â I said reluctantly. She didnât say anything and I only realized what she meant when I walked into the stall.

Article: https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/a3mjxg/apple-tumblr-porn-nsfw-adult-content-banned
YES!! I LIKE THIS TAKE!!
Basically, because I know Mobile is bad with links, the article points out hat the broad, âsfw only, no titties allowedâ wave on the internet in recent years is largely due to Appleâs absolute stranglehold on the App Store. Apple has strict guidelines about NSFW content that choke creators right out of mainstream social media, even on sites like Reddit, for users of their products:Â
But there are fewer and fewer mainstream sites and services that support porn and adult content, and much of that attitude has grown out of Appleâs strict controls over the App Store and the iOS ecosystem. Steve Jobs famously suggested that âfolks who want porn can buy an Android phone,â and Apple has repeatedly leveraged its unprecedented power over millions of smartphones to sanitize the apps that are available on iPhones. Apple does not allow apps âthat contain user generated content that is frequently pornographic.â In 2016, Apple famously deleted all third-party Reddit apps that allowed users to toggle NSFW posts on and off; even now, it is impossible to access porn on an iOS Reddit app unless you jump through various hoops.
remember though that this anger isnât about Being Horny On Main, itâs about sex workers, their platforms and followers, NSFW creators and their art, and adult content communities that are continually being shoved out of spaces they created in recent years:Â
Tumblrâs leadership seems to believe that the community using Tumblr for adult content is the same as any other porn siteâshowing a serious disconnect with how its users actually interact and connect on its own platform. âWe will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community,â he wrote.
The value of Tumblr for NSFW creators and fans was in the autonomy to curate something original, and the freedom to express and share what theyâre intoâsomething that canât be replaced by algorithmically-suggested porn on the rest of the internet.
it was mentioned before somewhere else, but 20% of Tumblrâs traffic is brought in by content theyâre now flagging as âadultâÂ
This is yet another example of a platform ignoring adult content when it helps the platform flourish, and then leaving those users out to dry when itâs time to crack down for some monetary gain or face-saving. In addition to being a terrible way to treat your user base, banning adult content on Tumblr will stifle a lot of creativity.
and of course, Apple is also one of the companies that has repeatedly come under fire for censoring lgbtq/queer identities on their sites, the app store, and also caved to russiaâs anti-lgbtq policies like a stick of rotten bamboo
The communities that will feel this change the most will be the already-marginalized. âTumblr banning adult content is a huge loss for the LGBTQ community, especially those with overlapping marginalized identities,â Kitty Stryker, a queer porn performer and consent activist, told Motherboard in an email. âFor many, thatâs the one place we could find porn that represents us, made by indie performers who created their own content outside of an often racist, transmisogynist, fatphobic industry. Tumblr was where our content could exist without pushing us into the restrictions of a misogynist, male dominated workplace.â
