Wasn’t there a deleted Klayley scene in season 4? About him going through her memories or something. Was that like shot or was it just written?

I just rewatched the scene in 5x07 where Klaus made that speech while carving Hayley’s name in the tree and I’m still crying at it

I got so emotional too. I never thought Klaus would finally be open about his feelings, it was a bliss to my ears to hear him say " little wolf" .

Am I the only one who doesn't find it cool at all what the writers did to Antoinette?

What did she do to deserve such punishment? I hardly know why are they're purposefully trying to make all Elijah's love interest miserable, or dead.

Woah, you Klayley fans are massively reaching. Klaus loved Hayley- platonically, as his child’s mother. He is not backwards letting the objects of his affection know- that’s why Cami got an I love you.

Yes, we get babies from people we love platonically. -_- . Klaus loved many women, a thousand year old heart sure has enough rooms for thousands of women and thousands of “I love you”. Well it took three seasons to say that “ I love you”. Cami was at stone’s thorw when he was fooling around with Genevieve and Aurora. Do you think that a straightforward man would wait all this time to open up about his love for a woman he used to spend the better part of his days talking to about nearly everything? Well he waited until the eve of her death to make that revelation, so yes, klaus mikaelson is so backward. Shiping doesn’t have to be about what the writers deliver, when the viewer catches chemistry between two characters, that’s how a ship is ignited. Klayley had amazing chemistry, and we wouldn’t even exist if there was not. As for platonic love, there’s nothing platonic between the two, just buried emotions that had been leashed in the aim of to maintaining a balance in the family. Rebekah explained it in last night’s episode. It was all about Elijah, klaus did everything to make haylijah happen because he was scared of losing his brother.

You know what is this?

This is what a man who is regretting having wasted a decade rambling around instead of standing by the mother of his child and helping in parenting would look like.

Klaus is literally biting his nails over every moment spent away from her. He knew he had played a major part in her death. Again, Hayley Marshall died because of him.

It was about time they showed that his love for the little wolf transcended that one night stand. There was attraction even back then. She blamed alcohol for falling for him. He however had no excuse. He was as sober as a judge and he wanted something that he gladly took and he was ready to get more if she had been willing to stay.

Why they were not together?

Klaus was for once in his life selfless. He and his brother had history when it comes to perusing the same woman. Added to that, he and Hayley had a feisty history brimmed with hatred and schemes. She returned to his life with a child he was never prepared for, unlike Elijah who was willing to do anything for it. He saw the beginning of a love story before his eyes between the two of them and it bugged him like hell , yet he had never been.willing to step in and claim her his.

Why?

The hidden reason:

Klaus saw Hayley as a fierce, dashingly “exquisite” wolf queen. His insecure and coward self had him think she was out of his league. Back then, he couldn’t compete with his brother who was doing an outstanding job at besting him in everything. If you see the record of women the hybrid had courted. We saw him fancy average looking and vulnerable women because he once said to Genevieve that he liked “Normal”. He used to love human Aurora but slowly his passion for her faded out after she became a vampire. We also saw him despise Katherine , who managed to capture effortlessly every living man's heart, still failed in winning Klaus’. It seemed that Klaus couldn’t afford dating strong women like Hayley because of his insecurity.

The obvious reason:

Rebekah explained it all in last night’s episode. She said that Klaus did everything to maintain Hayley’s relationship with Elijah because she was the only thing that would keep his brother by his side. Elijah wouldn’t leave Hayley and Hayley would never leave her daughter and so would Klaus, losing Hayley would automatically lead to Elijah’s departure. Klaus never came near to Hayley or even thought of expressing these buried feelings of love to her because he didn’t want to ruin Haylijah. He chose to watch their love thrive like a bystander out of fear of being abandoned.

I don’t care if Hayley is dead or not. I’ve just watched the last episode and it’s so far been the Klayliest episode in the show. We got to see how genuinely important Hayley was to Klaus. I’ve never seen Klaus act so well. The former episodes made me question his acting skills, but it’s said that when an actor doesn’t enjoy the scenario or feel uncomfortable wity a co-star, their acting comes across as forced and unconvincing. JoMo delivered an.outstanding performance tonight and so is everyone because the episode was so well-written, (perhaps also because of Hope and Caroline’s absence).

Phoebe certainly is beautiful, it’s such a shame she can’t act for shit.

I don’t agree with you. The scenario isn’t that great (at least the one given.to her) and her character in the show wasn’t well-written anyways. They seldom give her scenes where she exhibits emotions other than confusion, contemplation or sometimes love. However she had some powerful scenes that require a lot of acting skills like her first death in season one, her fight scene with klaus after she broke her curse, the time she had to drink her daughter’s blood to be reborn as a hybrid…. I’m not saying she’s the best actress in the show but sure she’s far better than Riley, Danielle and the one who plays Keelin (these three can't even emote and nobody is complaining, that's unfair) The accent was a bit an.obstacle for her in the originals, but who can blame her. Jomo himself auditioned for Klaus in both English and American accent and he failed the latter, so he took him for his British one. She wasn't unfortunately given the same choice as Hayley’s character was meant to be an american wolf girl.I watched Phoebe in the secret circle, cul de sac and safe harbor, she did an outstanding job. She acts better in her native language and that’s why she gets gigs in aussie show. People say Jomo is a good actors, I watched him in Juda Benhur, he didn’t convince me at all and I found his acting so flat and weird. Sometimes the role, the scenario, the direction can have good or bad impact on the actor’s performance. I’ve always believed that Hayley would make a badass evil character better. Remember how people complained about Nina’s acting when dhe played Elena and how she blew everyone’s mind with Katherine.
