The Art of David O’Meara
David O’Meara is an artist based in London, who work primarily in digital.
In terms of my digital work, I enjoy creating scenes that bring about a sense of foreign nostalgia. Places you know you’ve never been but feel like you have. The atmosphere plays an important role in creating this, so it’s always been a priority. I try to create pieces that are ‘moody’ and emotive. Using exaggerated colors with bold contrast to do so. A lot of my scenes are portrayed at dawn or dusk, without necessarily specifying which one. Some might see it as an ending where others might see it as the beginning. I like leaving them open to absorb as many narratives as they can. I set the scene, it’s up to others to fill it. Things are always more interesting that way. H/T

Who makes the decisions about women’s bodies, and who dominates the public discourse about their right to choose? Well. ...
Double standards much?
They’re the ‘squad’ you should actually be worried about
(3 min read)
Women who support limiting others’ rights for their own benefit — a study in Trumpism if there ever was one — are not new. - aka “The Squad” we should Actually be worried about. Let’s take a look at who’s leading that squad: The advisory board of Women for Trump is a who’s who of bigots and swindlers — with a few former beauty queens, Apprentice contestants, and a Pussycat Doll thrown in for good measure.

His persistent attacks on the freshman WOC ‘Squad’ have an all-too-familiar ring
The Squad represents a consciousness and an unwillingness to submit to the dystopian future Trump and his red hat Klansman have in store for America.
Powerful imagery.

Latest addition to Memo Akten’s ongoing ‘Learning to See’ project demonstrates a neural network powered realtime image translation framework, presenting possibilites for visual poetry:
A pre-trained deep neural network making predictions on live camera input, trying to make sense of what it sees, in context of what it’s seen before. It can see only what it already knows, just like us.
