Do you have a book you would recommend to others for summer reading? Bring it to the secondary library and have your Shelfie snapped.
As photos are taken, we will post them on http://bit.ly/shelfies2015 .
Just for fun, find a book cover to create a new you. We have a camera and tripod set up on the ground floor of the library, waiting for your creativity to be expressed.
See how others in the world have done them on Instagram - https://instagram.com/explore/tags/bookfaces/ and read about the phenomenon in the New York Times here.

From now until Thursday, June 18.....
The 6th annual Readers Cup event was held Thursday, May 21, at the Singapore American School. Twelve schools and over 40 teams competed in three age categories: Younger (Grades 2-4), Older (Grades 4-8), and Mature (Grades 8-12).
Our Mature team – Abril Beretta, Kamila Zastera, Mahpara Jahan, and Eleanor Chapman – took 3rd place (yay!).
Meanwhile, one of our Younger teams took 1st place (yay! yay!).

Cli-fi -- or climate fiction -- is the latest genre.
Click here for a list of some cli-fi novels in our library -- and read this article in the Guardian UK Teen Books section on why writers feel compelled to produce it.
There’s still room for more people to participate in the upcoming Readers Cup competition, Thursday, May 21, at SAS. Please see Ms. Katie Day in the library asap, if you are interested.
Put your #bookface on! This June the secondary library will again have a Summer Shelfie station set up - where you can pose with a book you recommend to others for summer reading.
Also be thinking of a #bookface photo to do -- just for fun. As these three photos show, last year a few students spontaneously did them. It’s now quite popular - as this recent article in the New York Times explains. Searching Pinterest for #bookface gives you even more examples.
