Lotus Time Capsule 3.0 is here!! 17GB of vocal homestuck songs

My 4/13 project this year was the initial release of this archive, and it hovered around 2GB. A few weeks ago I thought I would max out at 3500 tracks. Today it’s 17.4 GB, 4789 tracks total, about 4600ish of which are vocal covers (the rest are Ke$hastuck, a bit of voice acting, or other neat music things) Every track is artist-credited, and character tagged via GENRE metadata for easy playlist curating.

MSPA has been entertaining me since 2008 and I fondly remember the fandom moment when musical parodies were THE hot shit. It was fun and creative and good. When I share parts of this archive with younger fans, they often get super excited about the idea of a resurgence of this trend, so there’s something inspiring to it as well. But mostly it’s just very, very silly.

Tindeck.com has been a hub of Homestuck fanmusic for almost as long as there’s been Homestuck. It’s in the process of shutting down. I clicked thru the whole homestuck tag and saved, sorted, and labeled everything that looked like a song to me. I didn’t want it to be lost, there was something special about this time to me.

If it’s a homestuck parody or unofficial original vocal song you’ve heard, it ought to be in this file. If it isn’t, I want it.
