Oh My God Damn
i seem to have some art i haven't shared here on tumblr, oops ;u;
i wish people would stop romanticizing not eating breakfast and not getting enough sleep and being dependent on coffee to function and always being in a bad mood and treating yourself poorly because that behavior is very unhealthy for you
Heâs right.
the more time you spend in active recovery from any given self destructive behavior or addiction the more you understand the common conception of the "relapse" as defined by a broken "streak" to be, like, so bad for one's own well-being that it would be funny if it weren't resulting in just a lot of misery and death
I told my girlfriend to think of quitting vaping as training her endurance by seeing how long she can run before she gets tired, then doing it again and hoping to go further next time. She said it really helped her.
This is the stages of change model, with each circle being a part of the process of growth. You'll notice how relapse is not a failing of the model, or a set back, but an active step in continuing to grow and change. Everytime you relapse, you learn something; maybe a certain time of year is difficult for you. Maybe certain people push you back into the habit. Maybe your other coping skills/replacement habits didn't work how you wanted and you need to strengthen them, or develop new ones. Maybe it's not quite as clear cut and you need to spend the time figuring out what exactly went wrong so you can catch it next time. It doesn't matter the exact lesson, but it's part of the process.
"A marriage ending isn't a failure at all. I spent eleven years with her. We were so in love that we couldn't image life apart from each other. We got our own place, adopted a dog, and supported each other through school. I thought if tow people loved each other enough the rest would fall into place, except... love isn't everything.
And I didn't want to believe that, but we were sitting in counseling one day, talking about our future and I realized we were describing two completely different lives. Where we'd live, what kind of life we wanted, what made us happy. And it hit me that- I love this woman and this woman loved me. And after eleven years of loss, grief, career changes, we were so deeply in love... but we weren't aligned. And I kept thinking 'We just need to try harder. We can find some compromise to make this work,' because that's what you're supposed to do when you love someone, right?
But the reality was, we had just become different people. Her trade school took her in one direction, my graduate degree in another and trying to force us back into who we were five years ago wasn't coming from a place of love. It was coming from a place of fear. Fear that, if this ended, it meant we wasted eleven years. But sitting there across from her, I realized: That's not how love works.
Those eleven years happened. They were real. The dog, our home, showing up for each other through grad school and trade school. I wouldn't change a single thing because loving someone doesn't mean you're meant to stay with them forever. And letting go doesn't erase what you had. We measure marriage by whether it lasts forever or not, but what if we measured it by whether it mattered?
What if we measured it by the love we gave, the life we built, and the people we became? Because love's job isn't to last forever, it's to help you become fully completely yourself, and sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give each other permission to be yourselves, separately. But the dog doesn't know were' divorced. He just gets two Christmases now."
Pulled this from this guy Preston Rakovsky's Instagram (@prestonrack) because it is a beautiful perspective on love, marriage, and relationships in general.
I've seen a bunch of "fandom etiquette" posts on my dash today and I'm going to say something that is maybe going to be unpopular but;
The absolutely pervasive mentality that unwanted criticism or critique shouldn't be given and should be ignored is why fans of color don't stay in fan spaces.
And I am not going to mince words here:
A lot of you are racist. A lot of your fan works are racist.
That might have been difficult to hear. And if it was, you should probably reflect on why that was.
"Fandom etiquette" has created a space where fans of color either bite our tongues and eventually leave or say something, get dogged on, and then eventually leave.
So much of "fandom etiquette" seems to be about insulating creatives from Feeling Bad and hostility to any kind of negative feedback is a pretty big contributor to why bigotry festers in these spaces.
#imo the potluck analogy applies- it would be rude to critique someone's icing technique at a potluck bc it wasn't as good as at the bakery #but if they had decorated their cupcakes w hate symbols it wouldn't be rude to tell them that's gross and gtfo #in fact it would be inappropriate to NOT say anything in that situation #or to complain that another guest who did point it out was 'ruining everyone's potluck' #and pointing out racism in fan works is 100% the second thing not the first! have u ever wanted to handmake a mamianqun (ma mian skirt)? boy do i have the sheet for you!
u can open this in excel (ugh), google sheets (eurgh) or better yet, libreoffice calc. Instructions on how to make your own ma mian skirt, some pictures, and all of the math done for you. Intermediate level sewing (or beginner with audacity). I've done mine all handsewn but you can use a machine if you want.
This is a great thing to make if you have an extra bedsheet/comforter cover/etc lying around. You /will/ need a lot of fabric.
This pattern uses only rectangles: no curves or weird shapes.
I haven't tested this on other body shapes besides my own, but since all of the measurements are input by the user I'm pretty sure it will work for a very large range of sizes
Time for handsewing (i'm relatively fast tho) is about 10 to 12 hours. Time for cutting and pressing and measuring is about 3 to 5 hours.
contact me if u have any questions/notice typos/have issues with the sheet
ok here you go bye
Editing to say if u make this send me pics!! I'd love to see. Also if u encounter issues or confusion with any steps so I can hopefully clarify them
MARK POWELLâS HELLISH DIORAMASÂ
As a horror artist, Powellâs pieces are some truly disturbing work. He describes them as âminiature environments where imaginary beings evolve, devolve, consume, excrete, multiply and decayâÂ
It certainly creeped me out. The detail is both gruesome and amazing.Â
Ok questions:
Does the urethra always need to come out in that spot or can you get a cloaca kinda thing?
You alluded to this but can someone be fully sexually active? Are there drawbacks? Are there benefits? Is it customizable?
Can pubic hair be retained?
Can other designs besides smooth be done?
Do people get cool tattoos there? Are tattoos often used as part of the process such as men tattooing a bell onto their penis?
IS THERE SOMEWHERE I CAN FIND SOME FREAKING PICTURES ON THE GOD DAMN INTERNET BECAUSE I HAVE FOUND NONE
Might be more questions later lol. Im very interested in this surgery type. Thanks for your time btw.
I believe there might be some choice available for the urethra location but very limited, I do not know enough about what you thinking of regarding a cloaca but I don't think so.
One can definitely be sexually active after as you can choose to keep all the nerves responsible for sexual sensation embedded under the skin, though typical frontal penetrative sex isn't applicable anymore, for the front it would have to be grinding, tapping, vibrators, ETC.
The main drawback IMO is that if one is starting from having testicles your body will no longer produce sufficient sex hormones and taking hormone supplements becomes medically necessary for bone and heart health. Recovery can be a bit annoying too but it's very short for bottom surgery.
For benefits see my daily reason posts, or just the rest of my blog.
The most customizable aspect to my knowledge is placement of the sensitive nerves, and if you choose to keep them. You can also choose what parts you do and don't want to keep if you like some parts of your existing genitals.
Pubic hair is retained, it's my understanding that if you want to get it removed that'll be a different matter.
I haven't seen people get tattoos there but it sounds like a lovely idea!! If you keep the sensitive nerves then it'll be quite painful presumably.
I found googling "Nullification surgery results" gave some pictures from surgeons websites, this one gives the clearest picture from a quick search.
davisplasticsurgery .com/uploads/4/9/7/8/49788699/nullo-3.jpg
All the photos though are within days of the surgery so they don't look the nicest - swelling does down over time and the wound heals.
I plan on posting my own photo soon since there are so few photos of it well past recovery.
Glad to receive your questions! Feel free to send more!!
Thank you so much for the insights.
Yeah I tried googling but no luck at all. I'll try the link you sent and I guess I'll keep an eye on your blog! (No pressure).
Oh my word the results are incredible! And it looks so good even though it's fresh. Science is amazing
It was a bit cherry picked, but TBH the other results are similar just harrier and more red and one sun has a catheter in. In terms of actual finish that's about what it looks like, but the bump gets smaller over time (but not gone)
Science IS amazing, but also according to my surgeon this is like easy mode for the finished results compared to trying to make a vagina or penis, since you just sew it up!

A weirdo's weirdo.
are people talking about the labor conditions at Taylor Farms yet? like the fact they use enslaved prisoners in their facilities?
are we drawing the connection between worker safety and consumer safety & public health yet?
are people demanding to see the conditions in this place that keeps making us sick? why are the enslaved workers not having the time to use the bathroom or to rest when ill? very few people would shit in front of their coworkers given any choice at all.
Some is better than none. Some is better than none. Some is better than none. Walking for three minutes, is better than nothing. Drinking a glass of water and eating a snack, is better than nothing. Wiping down the counter, is better than nothing. Small things are not nothing. Small things are not nothing. Small things are not nothing. You donât have to achieve grand things if all youâre capable of right now is the smaller things. They are still achievements. Donât do nothing just because you donât think youâre capable of doing bigger things, just do something youâre capable of today. ďżź
