My first hand-dyed yarn is now socks! I'm in love with the way the colors pooled.
Are messy bun/ponytail hats the new ruffle scarf?
Cathedral by Marjorie Dussaud
I completed my Rose City Rollers a couple weeks ago. They were made from two different skeins that really were in the same dye lot. The yarn is Plymouth Yarn Happy Feet Splash in Crayon.
WIP Wednesday! I'm on fall break from school, so I've been spending a lot of time with several different projects. This is a linen stitch cowl I started after finding this Fiendfyre Cowl by losingcount on Ravelry. I've been looking for something suited for this yarn (Malabrigo Silky Merino in Loro Barranquero) since I bought it about two years ago, which is why I found this quote so timely.
Yarn is patient - it will wait until you figure out what it wants to become.
Something beautiful from Reddit user BoldChoices.
Finally trying my hand at brioche knitting!
WIP Wednesday! My Moroccan tile afghan has gotten so large that by now it's easier and faster to work on it in bed, which is ok by me 👌🏻
It got chilly enough today to work on the Moroccan Tile afghan I started last fall! I reached the official halfway point tonight. I'll try my hardest to make sure it doesn't take another year to finish.

Sockhead hat in Mary Maxim Step It Up for WIP Wednesday.
I haven’t been blogging much lately. Back in February I started school and within a couple months I had an internship (unpaid) and a work-study job (underpaid) on top of a full-time class schedule. This is not terribly conducive to knitting or even thinking too much about knitting other than looking wistfully at my stash, wishing I had the time, energy or skill to make something cool with my nice yarns. I’ve been struggling with burnout for the past few weeks partially because I haven’t been knitting or crocheting.
tl;dr start a Sockhead hat if you think you don’t have time to knit.
Half of a pair of socks I finished a couple days ago. I'd been coveting that yarn for months (Kroy Socks Ragg Shades) when Michaels finally had a good yarn sale after the holidays. The socks will definitely need a good dose of fabric softener, but the stripes were so cute I couldn't pass it up!
(A better look at my amazing sock blockers. The cuff is so long because I got so distracted by the stripes I didn't even think to measure until I was 3" in!)
