Reasons Old Women are Associated with knitting

They are so financially stable that they can afford the cost of yarn and have the time to work with it.

I can’t wait to get old and have a tangible yarn budget.

This is makes so much sense!! The older women in my knitting circle are such a financial inspiration to me. I go to the yarn store with them and I buy maybe $40 worth of yarn. They’re buying up stuff, saying things like, “Oh one day you’ll be able to do this, just hang on” and “Oh we should make something together with this yarn! Here, I’ll buy you a skein.” They so financially savvy it blows my mind.

I’ve been wanting to knit some kind of lacy shrug to wear with formal dresses for quite some time- just need to pick up and knit some sleeves and it should be done! Based the design on this pattern, although i made a lot of alterations to the design. 

I love the Knit Picks Galileo yarn for this project- it has great drape and sheen to it! I’m probably going to dye it a darker green when I’m finished.
