I actually finished this about a month ago but kept missing that nice lighting to take a photo in. A wonderful trip back to cables, made just in time for hats to no longer be needed ❤️

So my plan was to put a bobble of the same wool on top but my sister said she wanted me to use this one, I’m not sure how I feel about it but I love how the end result looks
Not sure what I’m gonna knit next but I’ll pick up some new wool tomorrow and decide on a project based on the colours they have in stock
Woohoo I’m finally finished the hat.
Putting the finishing touches on it now, I have another little handmade wooden label but I have leather aswell so I’m not sure which one will look better. So happy it’s finished at that the seam isn’t too obvious
I know I only started this blog like yesterday but I’m honestly shocked at the number of people reblogging my post and complimenting it??
Like I did not expect anyone to see it, nevermind like it... anyway I guess I love knitblr already
I’m actually really happy with this considering it’s my first time doing a cable stitch
Hopefully it’ll be a hat when I’m done and hopefully I’ve done the measurements right and it’ll fit 😅
I have successfully done my first cable stitch
I know it’s nothing big but I hadn’t tried them before because I didn’t think I was good enough and I don’t have a cable needle so I’m using a crochet needle but it turned out well!!
💫Introduction💫
So I’m new to knitblr and I don’t really know what I’m doing. I only started knitting about 6 months ago but I’ve know how to knit for about 10 years.
So far all of the post here are just knitting posts I had put on my main blog @what-am-i-doing-withlife but I figured I might as well make a separate blog for it. I’ve knitted a snowman and a Santa clause teddy and I’ve made a few hats.
My name is Sam and I’m 19
I’m Irish and I’m in my first year of biochemistry in college
I’ll be the events rep for the knitting society in my college for the 2021-22 academic year so I’ll post updates on how that goes as well as my knitting
I guess I’ll tag some of the knitting blogs that inspired me to make my own: @knitblr @knittystitch @knittingstuff @knittingfuckyeah @crochetyknitter @crochetdork @yarnaddiction (I know it’s not many but I don’t want to annoy too many people by tagging them 😅)
Finally finished hat #2
Considering I have no pattern and I wasn’t sure how much changing the wool would affect the thickness I’m really happy with it
I loveeee the little wooden label too
Well I finally decided what to knit and I thought the stitching looked satisfying so here you go
So I followed a random pattern for a duck and it ended up being a really bad pattern that I had to edit a good bit for it to look vaguely duck shaped,
In reality the pattern was more like a snowman but I kind of made it work, gonna do a new one tomorrow with the pattern edited to give him a tail/ wings and a better beak
