We are unashamed fans of #southernmetal and, in particular, all things @down_nola Back in 2020 when Down announced that they were prepping for the 25th anniversary tour of the #nola album, I went back and had a listen to it, and read through the lyrics and artwork notes. It mentioned that the artwork was inspired by (and they’d actually used some photos) by a #lousiana #photographer from the #1930s by the name of #clarencejohnlaughlin. Clarence had released a book of New Orleans plantation photography in the early #1940s titled #ghostsalongthemississippi I had to acquire a copy of this book.
