Sitting on her bed, Niki watched the ID card with a mixture of wariness and resignation. In her other hand, she held the Shogun Snowglobe that she’d gotten from the hospital raffle.
Why was she even doing this? The bauble didn’t interest her - she might as well chuck it in the trash. And Kimiko Gekaku had betrayed her, admitted to setting her up; from what she’d seen of the other girl’s true personality, she’d most likely try rubbing it in to get her upset. She couldn’t even be sure if it was the real Kimiko, what with the existence of LISE.
And yet…things she couldn’t quite put into words were nagging at her from the inside. She wanted answers, no matter how miniscule the chance. So as the download finished, she let her features fall into a neutral expression and tried to keep her voice level.
“Hey. …So, given what we just learned about your talent and all that, I was wondering if this thing fit your style?” She held up the snowglobe, but then realized that she didn’t know if the face in the program could really see. “Uh. It’s a snowglobe, with a little traditional manor inside. Pretty fancy, I guess, if that’s your thing. It reminded me of your ring, and…I dunno, I couldn’t think of anyone to pass it off to.”
If Kimiko did like it, part of her wondered, what should she do? Keep it around to show her if they chatted again in the future? Smash it, just to feel a little bit of revenge? Nothing seemed to make sense anymore…

Niki’s pass flickered with static until the familiar face of the recently dubbed Shogun Executioner appeared upon it with a vastly mischievous looking grin. There was a raspy sigh before speaking.
“Genkaku Kimiko at your service. You have reached the right person if you plan on spreading despair and death throughout the wor-”
…
“Oh Niki-chan… I was uh… Hoping that you would install me sooner or later.”
The program could indeed not see but the description of the snowglobe was captivating enough.
“It sounds really pretty. It is also very much my aesthetic. I would be happy to take it off your hands… If I had any. However Niki-chan… Was that really all you called for? Because I would think that like the others; you would have wanted to damn me to death.”
