It is difficult to explain how his words disarmed me, how efficiently succinct and impenetrable his argument was. I feel like I'm of the minority that doesn't find the San Francisco Devils Minion stuff as tantalizing as the Dubai stuff HOWEVER this bit right here does kinda drive me nutty
The way Armand stiffens like he isn't expecting Daniel to embrace him. The way Daniel basically breaks through hypnosis to embrace Armand in his moment of death. Idk I think it simply boils Devils Minion down to their barest essentials
Hi Lestat. I hope your night is well! It's the week leading up to my birthday and it's always kind of a teary time for me. Im excited this year, though. I really hope everything goes well. Do you still celebrate the day you were born?

Why do they make you teary? I’m glad you’re looking forward to this one.
Truthfully, I don’t celebrate my birthday at all. It usually passes so quickly that I have to do the math to remember how old I am, assuming I’m even right. That said, there have been birthdays worth remembering, scattered like bright pins across my life. None of them were ever my idea.
Louis and David try, on occasion, to make me celebrate. They insist I sabotage it, that I’m determined to make the day unbearable. They’re probably not wrong.
I’ll tell you about my favorite one.
It was simple. Louis asked me to meet him in Jackson Square. The air was heavy with warmth, people drifting in and out of Café du Monde, climbing into carriages, wandering toward the Mississippi. Then it began to rain. Soft and warm, like a bath, the kind that stirs the earth and makes it smell alive.
The humans scattered like startled rats. We didn’t move.
We sat on a bench beneath the live oak, by the little statue, and let the rain soak us through. We laughed. We kissed. And he told me happy birthday.
