Does porn hyper-sexualise youth?
Absolutely, 1000% yes they do. Trigger warning for images and explanation.
Common themes/patterns
No pubic hair. Ever.
Clothing/props that remind people of children—pigtails, schoolgirl outfits, lollipops, bows, ribbons, classroom, school bus. I have even seen actresses dressed up as children. One above example has “tweety pie panties” but I have also seen childish nightgowns, etc.
People in positions of power.—Schoolgirl/teacher, stepdad/stepdaughter, older man
“First time” doing something, exploring sexuality, being scared, feeling fragile. The fragility often associated with youth makes domination/submission story-lines much easier
Teen and Barely Legal are most popular searches
The coercion and manipulation of teens is a huge theme. Teenagers are viewed as being able to easily use and mold. This comes across often in porn, and it works with the current patterns, since domination and coercion are pretty much the entire point of sex, according to porn.
I want to make one thing clear: It doesn’t matter if these performers are 18 and over. Sexualizing childhood encourages pedophilia and child abuse. By exploiting certain qualities that the porn industry sees as being unique to children (being extra vulnerable, impressionable, easy to manipulate, etc.) combined with the fact that people eventually become desensitized, this is a recipe for higher rates of child abuse and exploitation.
In addition to that, it is getting incredibly difficult to tell the difference between “legal” porn and child pornography. If you ever come across something that you have doubts about how legal it is, or rf you think that the people in the video are underage, you can report it.

Gary Heidnik was a serial killer who ran a mini-slave colony of African American women in his basement in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, most of whom were prostitutes. He kept them in chains and abused, raped, and beat them on a daily basis. His victims had nothing else to eat except for dog food. One of the woman eventually died of a fever, so he dismembered her and cooked parts of her body, storing the rest of her flesh in his freezer. The overpowering smell of the cooking flesh swept through the neighborhood, prompting many complaints to police. Gary assured police he had just burnt his food, and police accepted his explanation and left. Gary then fed the cooked flesh to his two dogs and the women in the basement. The next woman to die was Deborah Dudley. Out of all the girls, she was the most defiant. Gary decided to teach her a lesson and ultimately electrocuted her to death. The women were held captive in his basement for months before one of them managed to escape and summon help. Gary was arrested and died by lethal injection on July 6, 1999.
Black women are also the most likely group to be deprived of adequate pain relief in the ER.
A study 2 years ago showed that black people overall get given pain relief only 50% as often as white people.

Medical racism is very real
Wow. I don’t even have words. This is so terrifying to think that one day, if I chose to have kids, I have 243% more likely to die from complications. And to think that his pleas went unheard. Her death is completely the fault of the medical staff at that hospital.
This was Judge Hatchett’s daughter-in-law. I remember reading about it in Essence. Postpartum death amongst Black Women is an epidemic.

Y’all think it’s telling when a woman has “daddy issues” 🙄 but have y’all met men that were raised with no father or terrible father figures.
That’s the malnourishment he is talking about. Males are less likely to seek positive male influences, get counseling, or work through their “daddy issues” the way women attempt to.
Men: HA she’s a hoe cuz her daddy wasn’t around
Also men:*harmful to women* forgive me, my dad wasn’t around to teach me to be a man
Alyssa Mae Noceda (18) died after overdosing on drugs on February 3rd, 2018. That night, Alyssa went to a party at the home of Brian Roberto Varela (19) in Lynnwood, Washington. According to Brian, Alyssa snorted Percocet and ingested liquid marijuana before collapsing in his room. Brian did not seek help for Alyssa after she collapsed–instead, he took semi-nude photographs of her and sent them to friends with the caption “LOL, I think she od’d, still breathing, I’m smashing her to pass the time.” The next morning, Brian used Alyssa’s thumbprint to unlock her phone and access her Snapchat account. He then posted a message on Alyssa’s story in order to make her friends think she was running away. Afterwards, he left Alyssa’s body at his house and went to work at his job at Dairy Queen. While there, Brian bragged to his co-workers about sexually assaulting Alyssa as she was dying. One of his co-workers alerted authorities, who then went to Brian’s residence and found Alyssa’s body hidden in a plastic bin. Brian was arrested and charged with second-degree rape and controlled substance homicide. He is currently being held on a $1.5 million bond. He has not yet entered a plea.
UPDATE: On November 15th, 2018, Brian Valera pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter, third-degree rape, and unlawful disposal of human remains. He was sentenced to 2 years and 10 months in prison. Alyssa’s family and friends are reportedly disappointed by his sentence, as they feel it is a very light sentencing for such a horrific crime. Brian offered a brief apology at his sentencing, stating “I’m sorry for my foolish actions. Whatever I get is what I deserve.”
he deserves so much worse
some of y'all think you’re sexually liberated, but you’re really just controlled and guided by your libido… that’s not freedom fam.
The community believes a black woman was murdered at a Football-mom Sleepover that 7 white women attended. This happened last year and there was absolutely no news coverage until this week. The homeowner’s lawyer has released a statement today after people tried to get the truth.
men really be in their mid 20’s & 30’s projecting their unresolved issues on women lmao go to a fucking therapist bitch
These findings further upend the myth that white women are innocent of racism.
If Tumblr flags this I hope the site crashes lol
Water is wet. Next.
Anyone else tired of the 3 guy 1 girl character setup in literally every movie ever?
It’s because at roughly that ratio is where men feel that men and women are represented equally.
There was a study done and when there was 1:1 male/female the male audiences felt as though there were more too many women. In general the men studied perceived things like 3 guys to 1 girl as more representative of the world.
That disgusts me.
There have also been studies in which it was found that men think women talk much more than they actually do - if they have to share equal air time with a woman they think they’re not getting a word in edgewise.
Imagine being so used to privilege and prioritization to think that the equal treatment of others is an unfairness to you.
How abusive childhood teaches you to stay in abusive relationships:
you have to be obedient and submissive in your childhood if you don’t want to get beaten, you’re taught this is normal in life, so why should you doubt it when it happens in your relationship?
you’re supposed to care about everyone else more than yourself, you’re taught to provide comfort and be minimally or completely non-demanding of other family members, always put yourself last, and this is exactly what abusive partner will demand of you as well, how would you fight it if you’re taught this is just your place in life?
your appearance, interests, skills, achievements, and faults are constantly exposed to criticism, insults, humiliation and ridicule in abusive childhood, and you’re taught it’s normal, how are you supposed to fight it when it happens in a relationship?
you’re humiliated and ridiculed for seeking intimacy or try to express yourself in your childhood, how would you know it’s okay for you to desire understanding, consideration, reassurance and intimacy in your relationship?
if you’re used to being hit, humiliated, and having your objections to it ignored, or even worse, minimized and punished by even worse violence, how are you supposed to defend yourself when it happens in a sexual situation? how would you be able to know it’s wrong for another person to harm you if your parents have been doing it, and they supposedly love you?
if you’re taught to always be grateful that things aren’t worse, always compare yourself to someone who is tortured worse, how are you ever supposed to reach out and get help for being abused? how are you supposed to know when your situation is really, really bad? There’s always going to be someone somewhere in the world tortured worse, and this becomes a reason for you to suffer in silence.
Abusive parents are direct cause of abusive relationships, if your boundaries aren’t destroyed and your sense of what’s acceptable and to be tolerated in your close relationships skewed to allow abuse, you have much easier time rejecting abusive relationships later in life.
i get anxiety because idk what will come after postmodernism
I’m right and I should say it
