Simu Liu that now is defending Hudson shares an agent with Connor (Albert Lee).
I think this is the absolute best way to defend and point out the racism of this smear campaign against Hudson
Too bad weâll never know when he travelled to Atlanta.
6th June.
This is just so funny! Them having a life size cutout of Connor at the Yaga set!
(Not my screenshot but verified that the story is there đĽ°
Unfortunately Hudson Williams committed several grave sins to the internet:
Masculanized an Asian character
Became a heartthrob as a POC
Gave an award-winning performance for a neurodivergent character
Is dating a woman after playing a gay man
Gets just as much praise as his white costar
Doesn't censor himself to fit in
IS AN ASIAN MAN WHO HAS PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD SO DIABOLICALLY DOWN BAD FOR HIM
There's this really sweet and capable woman I know who I would wish only the best for...
But when she was, like, 17, some guy wrote the word SLUT on her face and took a photo of it. And someone else posted his photo the other day.
And I just can't support a woman who is misogynistic like that. She said she didn't know what he wrote and she understands that it's not okay to say something like that about women, but it's just not enough. I think she really needs to prove that she doesn't hate women. Groveling with a public apology would just be the start.
FOLKS HATING ON HUDSON OVER THIS RIDICULOUS TMZ BULLSHIT: THIS IS WHAT YOU SOUND LIKE. YOU SOUND THIS F*CKING AWFUL. STFU.
FUCK! This is why we do not get great art or new ideas! Everyoneâs actions are being recorded and put to the public square to be shamed. I love photography but camera phones might have killed humanity đ
A single wording, a night when someone writes on you, someone else takes a pic and the publish it. It sucks and itâs only getting worse.
Hudson Williams is being haunted by a Sharpie stain from his past ... after a childhood photo showed a swastika drawn across his face, howev
So a statement was made via tmz. I personally believe this was an incident of kids being dumb (white kids unfortunately seem to have a tendency to do this particular kind of dumb stuff). In the article it says that Hudson âdidnât know the drawing was of a swastika at the time the picture was takenâ and I am inclined to believe that. It doesnât say anything about time frame so Iâm guessing he figured it out some time a little later. Anyone who thinks he didnât know this whole time is really being an idiot about this. I do not believe Hudson is racist (anti-black, antisemitic, etc.). I think he was a kid (poc kid) growing up in a very white, very conservative small town in Canada. I am not surprised or shocked at this incident just dismayed for his hurt fans and him. Itâs disappointing to see but Iâm not going to single him out and throw him out with the trash. I believe he has grown up to be a good person and a good man and he shows that to the world and those around him everyday. He deserves patience and understanding. We really have no idea what this man is actually with dealing bts or how heâs been handling the fandom discourse swirling around him.
Anyway, Iâm glad a statement of some kind was made. I hope Hudson has learned some valuable lessons from all these cancel attempts made against him these last few months and cleans his fucking house. Too many snakes abound.
I had a lot more I wanted to say about this but I am incredibly tired and havenât been feeling well so this is all yaâll are gonna get for nowđ.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
Yes I've seen the picture but as someone who's been in a similar situation as a POC with mostly yt classmates before (more towards the end), I lean towards him not even knowing the thing was even being drawn on him. I know teenagers can be young and ignorant but even this seems like it would be unthinkably stupid for a kid with a fairly good head on his shoulders to agree to AND willingly be photographed for. I get the vibe from the picture that he was being pranked in a nasty way without his knowledge because two things immediately make me skeptical.
One is that not only is it drawn on him by someone else, but that he's the only one in the pic with something that offensive and egregious scribbled on him and that it's at the very top of his forehead, a place he'd have no chance of knowing what's being scribbled on him. Considering all the other writing on him that he himself could actually see is innocent and other people's names (including names on his face) he's probably not asking about what each person is writing on him in the moment.
The other thing is that from what I've seen the original picture was uploaded some years ago in 2018 not to a common social media site he would be present on, but to some niche obscure photo hosting and editing website most teenagers his age wouldn't even know existed, I'm an adult and didn't even know of its existence. It gives the vibe that this wasn't even a picture that the ones who took it expected him to actually view or engage with.
I bring this back around to personal experience in that with old class grad parties I also had some inappropriate things written on not visible areas of my clothing (such as a drawing of a p*nis). The only difference is that pictures of this were intentionally shared with me after to bring me into the joke, which I still didn't approve of, but I was made aware of before it could spread widely. I had went home and washed off everything that was written on my body before I was shown the full pics.
All this to say is hopefully this will be addressed but also to remind people that pictures by those closest to you doesn't always mean they're trying to capture your true self, it is very much the opposite a large percentage of the time.
Whatâs no one thinks this is hazing or a integration party (where all sorts of things happen and sometimes the worst ones like Prince Harryâs party). Plus, thereâs no telling what some young people would do to impress their friends.. I understand the pain and anger of these fans yeah we can hold him accountable but we also have to consider that some people didnât grow up surrounded by this history (I only learned about these symbols and this history in school when I was around 17 * i'm french* and even now Iâm still learning new things). So yeah there are issues to be resolved within his circle of friends but those of you who were just waiting for this to happen to turn your backs on him youâre no better than those haters.

just to add/clarify my previous ask (as the anon who grew up bigoted): my point is not to dismiss the harm that's been done, or to say that no one's allowed to be upset with Hudson. like said, understanding that bigotry done as a joke is still bigotry is very much part of that growing process. my intention was to offer nuance specifically to the idea that everyone collectively should now cancel and hate Hudson forever because he's fundamentally bad and irredeemable person. that's what I don't agree with, and that's not my take only with Hudson, but with celebs getting cancelled in general. I think everyone is entitled to their own feelings, and anybody who feels personally hurt by anything a celeb has said or done is more than allowed to feel that way. but I think as a collective, wider society, we should try to give people the chance to grow and learn, because collectively cancelling everybody who has ever held a single bad belief or made a poor taste joke is just not gonna end well. personal feelings are always valid and no one is required to like anybody. I'm just trying to draw a line between personal hurt and communal cancellation.
1000% yes
I'm seeing so many people throwing around the "I knew this was wrong when I was 17!" and all I can say is good for you. I didn't. I very much grew up being told & thus believing that jokes were fundamentally different than real bigotry cus you didn't mean to hurt anybody. and while I started the process of unlearning the casual and internalized racism I grew up believing in my teens, it's not a blink of an eye thing. depending on how deep in it you are, it's not even a year or two. it takes a long time to understand and accept that all the people around you who you think are normal, kind people, are actually doing something wrong and hurtful, and then finding the courage to break away and call out the people around you knowing full well it's gonna make you the odd one out. just because it's the right thing to do doesn't mean it's easy. and that's where I'm with Hudson - I see so much of my own old shitty behaviour in these call outs he gets. but I know people can change--I did--and judging by Hudson's behaviour in the recent years, I wholeheartedly believe he has too. for the people who had their moral compass squeky clean and straight by the time they were teenagers, good for you. I'm glad. but some of us had shit to unlearn and entire communities excusing and normalizing the shit behaviour and we took a little more time to get it right. if somebody hates me for that and thinks I'm pure garbage person for life because of that, there's nothing I can do about it. that's just how life as a teen + early adulthood went for me. and that's why I'm "excusing" Hudson's shitty past too. cus based on everything we see him do these days, he's clearly not that guy anymore. people do grow and change, and yes, sometimes--very often--that change happens _after_ age 17. often even after 20, 25, or even with people in their 30s. human beings don't all follow the same pattern and timeline. what matters is that they do change and learn to be better, even if it takes longer than what would've been ideal.
Well said, Nonnie. Thank you for sharing.
it doesnt even matter if the photo is real or not. do you realy think hudson is a nazi? no. end of drama (until the next cancellation attempt ofc...)
âď¸
Has anyone cancelling him for this actually lived in a place where practically everyone is conservative before? As someone from BC, this whole debacle just makes me realize exactly how conservative/maga-adjacent interior BC is and how glad I am that Hudson was able to move to Vancouver and find people who actually shares his values.
Precisely. And the inherent desire for kids/teens to do anything to fit in especially as a queer POC surrounded by conservative white folks.
So some people think not believing an obvious smear campaign is defending a person? Some people just have a knee-jerk reaction against online information. Some of us ask questions before we believe stuff. Is that shit true? Who is benefiting from this? Are the accounts spreading it nobodies with 0-2 followers made yesterday? And are they spamming? You put the answers of these together and things suddenly don't look good.
People just donât have the skills to think outside of black and white extremes in 2026. Itâs so sad.
exactly that, yes! thanks for getting it. enjoy defending that man over just about anything as if you know him or owe him a single thing. women, stand up challenge nowwww
Girl, lmaoâŚ. I have no reason to defend anyone unless the reasoning behind people tossing them under the bus is completely juvenile and ridiculous. If he were out drawing swastikas on things at 17, sure. Thatâs a big dick move, but 1) people can grow and change. What happened to allowing people to own up to their mistakes and be forgiven if theyâve chosen to be better and 2) he didnât draw a swastika anywhere. Someone else obviously drew that on him. Nuance & comprehension are important parts of life and human psychology, not everything is an inexcusable black and white extreme. LORDT.
