The thing about Komaeda being an abuser is actually really ableist is you think about it. People say he’s an abuser based on how he acts in the middle of a Killing game, which like, isn’t how he usually acts. Island mode is probably more how Komaeda is under more benign circumstances and like, he’s usually really sweet. He’s socially awkward and a little blunt at times but like he’s by no means abusive.

Exactly. I mean… He literally only gets “abusive” on Chapter 4. Which is pretty tame considering what he just found out tbh.

It’s not even really abusive as much as… dickish. Like, nobody’s really taking any of his shit. They’re just kinda going “Oh, what an asshole.” People don’t call Hinata abusive for making blunt kinda assholish comments at everyone. People don’t call Toko abusive for teasing Komaru. So why do people call Komaeda abusive?

since hinata seems to attribute so much malice to komaeda. even when he’s not being like that at all, I think the fandom just believes hinata without question and doesn’t even consider that he may not be right about komaeda. 

i say “abusive” because I don’t really consider it abusive per se. And yeah. Toko is really mean to Komaru sometimes, and I like their ship a lot, but nobody says it’s abusive. But Komahina is apparently? Because of Komaeda? Even though Hinata is mean af to Komaeda at times. 

And if Hinata is being mean and blunt he’s ‘so tsundere’ and ‘no fun hinata’ but if Komaeda does it, he’s ‘toxic’ and ‘abusive’

because he’s mentally ill I guess. You can’t convince me it isn’t abliest tbh.

KomaHina Headcanon: Komaeda is pretty much constantly cold and as a result his hands are freezing. Hinata’s a natural heater. The first time they sleep in the same bed together Hinata wakes up convinced that the cold hands of death are on his body ready to drag him to Hell but it turns out Komaeda slipped his hands under Hinata’s shirt in his sleep to leech warmth from him.
