i honestly think there's something so crazy about how jean-paul is kind of living dick's worst nightmare.

like dick DOES NOT want to be batman, he says that so often and at one point calls it his worst nightmare/biggest fear. but jpv? he gets handed azrael the same way you get handed an antique pot in a loved ones will. and he never questions it- it's all he has left of his dad.

ludovic was not a perfect man by any mean, jpv both realizes this and doesn't. he tries to remember his father kindly, even though there's isn't much memory to pull from. but he has azrael. and so when dick asks him one day if he hates being azrael, the way dick hates being batman, jpv has no idea what he's talking about.

priest!jpv too caught up in the rigid routine of the church, which doesnt allow for too many outside opinions and discussions but he's still so captivated by witch!dick who lives his life so freely and without reproach... much to think about here ty for this!!!
