Miku loves shopping! (so does V1)
I watched Flow (2024) a few days ago and I have been itching to get my thoughts out in some kind of way!! So don’t mind me gushing/ psychoanalysis this absolutely amazing movie—
This post will probably be all over the place cause I am still processing everything; forgive the jumbling thoughts
I think this movie had so many angles to see it from~ I totally got the found family (MY BRAND) and climate change perspectives buuuut what got me tearing up was interpreting it as parts of a person processing trauma
i have nothing to say except i’m coping !
happy halloween! take one and pass it on
a fruity treat (starbursts, skittles, lollipop)
a chocolate treat (m&m's, chocolate bar, tootsie pop)
a candy bar (milky way, twix, kitkat)
a crunchy treat (oreos, animal crackers)
something with nuts (reece's, snickers, peanut m&m's)
how about a savory snack (popcorn, potato chips, taki's)
retro option (caramel apple, popcorn ball)
can't have sugar (spider ring, play-doh, sparkly slime)
i could really use a drink (water, juice box, soda can)
no, i mean i could use a *drink* (jello shot)
random handful of candy bar minis and hershey kisses
trick >:) (under the cut)
please reblog so everyone can get a treat :))

We’re all goin here right
Imagine if play was something encouraged in adults, places to run and jump and climb because it's fun
I never know what the machines do at the gym, but i will clamber to the top of the tower to slide into a ball pit
I am 100% certain I would be in better physical condition if adults were allowed to play in ways that focus on fun and aren't competitive.
Songs
I haven't seen anyone else mention this before but it felt like a powerful allusion to the pilot.
We get two 'blink and you miss it' jokes in the pilot, which I didn't notice until my third or fourth watch through.
And then in the final episode, this...
The signs, which had always been used to mock and insult him, are now directing him to the ultimate act of bravery and self sacrifice.
What a brilliant and subversive use of the rule of three! I love this show so much.

I love love LOVE that they made Lucifer the epitome of the phrase "the road to Hell is paved with good intentions", right from his reason for being fallen to his failed relationship with Charlie.

Plastic Chair in Wood by Maarten Baas (2008)
I'm obsessed with this chair. The artist takes a flimsy hunk of injection-molded plastic that's been cost-cut to hell and back, and insists that we look at it with fresh eyes and understand its beauty. And they went about it in the most labor-intensive way I can think of.
Absolutely nothing about this design is convenient to execute in wood. Every piece is curved, most have compound curves. This is artisan craftsmanship: it's inherently slow, manual, and skilled. Notice, also, that most features of this chair must be thicker and heavier than on the plastic chairs being imitated. Injection-molded chairs can be produced in this shape in a matter of minutes with far less material at very low cost.
If these flowing, organic curves are so beautiful in polished wood, perhaps they are also beautiful in the mass-produced chairs that are far more accessible. Perhaps we should remember to admire designs that succeed enough to become ubiquitous. I don't know about you, but I'll never see injection-molded chairs the same way again.
