Both men had a moment of insanity because their wives were in danger and both of them only restrained themselves from commiting further violence because their wives ummm pulled on their leashes.

I am pretty sure Qi Min could have stopped the knife without grabbing the blade with his bare hand BUT ... like had he done that it wouldn't look as cool and I can tell that this bish is one big Drama Queen.

He's looking back to check if wife is okay but also to sorta ask if he did good.

Ohh look it here my hand is all bloody ... and look how wife is being nice to me ... I did say he was dramatic. And he only let the Wu gentleman go because he was honoring Qian Qian's wish. To his subordinates he was like my wife doesn't want any trouble so make sure to deliver the man back to his home in one breathing piece.

Xie Zheng and the kidnapper

Xie Zheng was so ready to kill the man here but like Fan Chang Yu was like ummmm let's not commit murder and XZ was like OK...anything you say my dear.

I love how these two mirror each other in the way they protect their wives. How comfortable they feel in committing atrocious violence. And how they both disregarded their own pain in service of protecting their loved ones.

I think one will be saner than the other but I'm not complaining or anything of the sorts.

Red flags this and black flags that ... well ... I supposed it's a good thing that I'm soooooo colorblind.

They have so many things in common. They have no immediate family. Their current families only see them as political chess pieces and their true motives remain uncertain. But their fathers died at the same battle. Some sketchy businesses went down there for sure. Also, they both have reasons to obscure their identities.

A good many people want to get rid of them.

They both are insane and in need of therapy but like seriously who has time for all that?

Most importantly, their "wives" are besties! And when your wives are good friends, it's almost impossible to remain enemies.

Nothing to see here ... just two hidden political players discussing some serious business and trying to figure out the other's motives.

OMG ... screamingggg!!! ZLH is sooooo hot here! Like I've been waiting for this drama and I am soooooo sat!!!

We have a ML who is hiding his high-born status and so naturally we have another Xie clan member. I swear this clan produces the most unhinged, revenge driven, sad back story male lineages. Like... yeah ... I'm not complaining ... I'm just ummm ... observing.

In any case ... I am loving every minute of this drama. I mean get you a man who would enter into a mostly sham marriage of convenience to protect the FL inheritance and when her uncle wants to take away said inheritance you then offer to take care of business.

Sensible FL offering a potential kidnapping.

Chivalry is alive and well ... as least in this awesome drama ... ML is super OP even when he's like super wounded and sorta sick. Can't wait to see him when he's all better. Preferably when he's shirtless because I watch this for the plot and naturally shirtless ZLH is crucial to the plot. Central ... really ... but I digress

You Are the One I Love (Sevdiğim Sensin) 2026.

Soooooo .... this Turkish drama came to me completely unexpected but such a pleasant surprise! I saw a clip popped up on my Twitter feed and thought I'd check it out since I have no active drama right now and am just waiting for Chasing Jade to be on air. I have never watched a Turkish drama before so I know nothing of it or what to expect, I don't even know how many episodes we will have but be warned each episode is a whopping 2 hour session so settled in ladies and gentlemen.

This drama is soooo delicious with all the tropes I simply adore. We have so many classic tropes!!

1. Rich man and poor woman (FL is illiterate!)

2. Marriage of inconvenience. No one really wants to get shaggled but we have crazy family dynamics and marriage was the only way to prevent FL's brothers from offing her.

3. Dysfunctional rich family dynamics. ML is the favored younger son with a very jealous older brother.

4. Unstable SFL betrothed to the ML. Something to do with needing SFL's family to help ML's family business

5. Naive and optimistic FL facing one tragic fate after another but remains kind and dignified.

In any case I've only watched the first episode since it's like 2 hours long! But I'm loving loving it so far.

Episode 23

Okay so I am very behind on my drama watch but there is nothing I love more than a good angsty arc!!! Like this could have gone on for like a few more episodes but I suppose we have to get back to emmm what's that thing again? Ahh yes ... the plot.

In any case I love this confrontation between Ji Bozai and Ming Yi because we all knew it was coming but now we have pesky feelings getting in the way of business as usual.

Ming Yi is basically putting her life on the line because she did not want her husband to make a difficult that he might come to regret. In her mind, it was better for him to think the worst of her and for her to take on the role of a betrayer so that hubby could go on living keeping the promise he made to his beloved master.

Ji Bozai: "you're just like the rest of them. You've come to me to steal what's mine"

Ming Yi: "yes"

Like girl!!!! You're dying!!! I get why you're doing what you're doing but like girl!!!! You're also dying!!!!! Like actively dying!!!

And we also see his inner world burning all around. Then JBZ literally severed their little heart link and threw MY out. The angst is angsting!!!! And all the while MY had like one petal left on her wrist and is literally dying!!!! Ahhhhh screaming!!!!! I love this so much!!!
