It has been more than an entire summer since I last drew or posted anything, so I was excited when I got motivation to draw while watching Dragon Ball Super. Also while I watched the show I found myself wondering (as I have many many many times) why are there so few super powered women in this show?? And why did they never introduce a female Saiyan?? So who better to throw into some Saiyan armor than Korra??? (P.S. Just noticed some finger tips I erased.... oops.)
I may come back to this drawing someday to add the finishing touches, but for now I consider my work done.
One of my friend's Literacy Lord, said you might be interested in drawing an OC from a story I am working on, called Artifact's of Zero. Is this true?
Yeah! I'd be interested in drawing something up. What are the details?
I put a little snow fall effect on the picture! It is only a little movement, but I think it gives it so much more life.
Finally to a point where I can say I am done with this picture. I will be doing more fan art (hopefully it will get better as I go), so if you’re interested please subscribe!
Completed the outline. I took a little inspiration from Goku. On to coloring now! Does she look pissed off enough?
I couldn't decide which one I liked best so here are 3.
A little sketch I did in class today.
This is the first drawing I have ever done of Korra. I also haven’t drawn for a really long time so its nothing too spectacular.
Expanding my Circle
Hello! I am very new to Tumblr. I recently finished the Legend of Korra and it left me with copious amounts of sadness. There is still so much left to the story of the Avatar, and I couldn't let it end. I don't have a circle of friends in my local area to share my interest in Korra with, so here I am. My goal is to continue the Legend as true to the series as possible. My writings are all very rough, and I am not a terrific writer. This is all for my enjoyment, and anyone else willing to take interest. So please, leave comments, give feedback, hate it, love it, ask questions, give input and most of all keep the spirit of the Avatar alive! Thank you. -D.R.
Book 5: Hope, Chapter 1: Rebuilding (entry 2)
"Korra!" They hear a shout from the sky. Jinora descends and lands in front of Korra and Asami. "Korra, I'm glad you're back! Hey Asami, nice to see you too." Jinora embraces Korra with a light hug. "I felt your energy come back from the Spirit World." "It's nice to see you too Jinora." Korra says with a smile. She did not expect to be welcomed back so soon. "What are you doing in Republic City? I thought you'd be out and about the Earth Kingdom helping people?" "I was for a while, but the newly elected Earth President has things under control, so my dad wanted me back here helping people and helping rebuild." The three girls walk to the outskirts of Republic City, all the while telling each other about the past couple months. Jinora had a much more eventful time than the other two. She tells them about helping the people Kuvira oppressed, and the complicated shift of government in the Earth Kingdom. They reach the outskirts of the city where roads are vehicle accessible. 'Well this is my stop." Asami gestures to a parked Satomobile. "Oh you're not coming back to Air Temple Island with us?" Asks Jinora. "I'd love to, but I've been gone a while and I have a company to run." Asami says with a half smile. Before she seemed anxious to get back to work, but now that the moment has actually come she seems slightly hesitant. She concludes that she will see the Spirit World again. "Jinora it was nice seeing you." Asami says kindly. She looks at Korra, and all the peaceful memories of their time in the Spirit World pass through her mind. She grabs Korra's hands and gives her a kiss on the cheek. "Thank you." Asami says with the sincerest eyes and the warmest smile. Jinora looks slightly puzzled by the occurrence in front of her. Questions can almost be seen piling up in her head. Korra blushes slightly, and gives Asami a hug. Their embrace ends and Asami drives off. "Sooo, had a nice time in the Spirit World did you?" Jinora asks, obviously knowing about the newly revealed feelings Korra and Asami have for each other. "Oh shush." Korra can't help but grin and blush, but tries to hide it and pushes Jinora's shoulder. "Let's go see your dad. I have a lot to talk with him about." Korra and Jinora activate their glider staffs and launch off into air.
Book 5: Hope, Chapter 1: Rebuilding (entry 1)
Korra and Asami step out of the spirit world portal. The sun has just begun to rise, and sounds of heavy machinery can be heard alongside the rumble of earth bending. They find the familiar sound of busy humans to be comforting. The time Korra and Asami had spent in the spirit world was peaceful, but near the end both had become anxious to get back and rebuild Republic City. Asami wears a gentle smile on her face, and her eyes are full of welcome feelings; motivation, and curiosity. Asami examines the familiar world around her, but she sees it with different eyes. The spirit world had given her a way of looking at the world that she never could have found in the world of industry and technology. Korra watches as Asami takes in the world around them. A small smile finds its way on the Avatars face, and she too looks around. A feeling that has been absent far too long swells within her; hope.
