New show and of course new ships that won’t sail.

I’m currently watching HOTD (House of the Dragon) [I am also a long time GoT watcher so there’s that]

ANYWAY,

Am I the only one who really likes Jacaerys and Helaena together???

The possibility of them being together and stopping all that is to come just hurts soo much. They literally had one dance scene together and I ran with it.

Guys look how she’s smiling and jumping around my gawd have mercy. She just looks soo happy for once. I don’t know, after her little toast and how sad she’s been through out the season, this little act of kindness was soo sweet. Jacaerys really is a gentleman even if it was just a jab at Aegon.

On to my next dead end ship:

Alicent and Rhaenyra.

Like are we not gonna talk about how fruity Alicent is??? Like why is everyone ignoring that. Girl is obviously in love with Rhaenyra and made it everyone’s problem.

This might just be my head canon but Alicent is les and she just doesn’t know it. She’s fighting demons😭. Also this is purely in the show. I know book Alicent and Rhaenyra aren’t like that. But have mercy just let them kiss already because a whole war over this is insane. (obviously that isn’t the only thing that brings about the war but it is a small part!)

I like that all three of the main guys in Heavensward are bastards. As in, two of them are nice people who happen to be bastard sons of nobility, and Estinien is just a bastard in general.

Hot take but other leftist tendencies that are popular in the imperial core, like anarchism, social democracy and libertarian socialism, are far more susceptible to supporting fascism than Marxists/Leninists. Particularly with regards to international affairs, their obsession with principles means that they will turn a completely blind eye towards the reactionary nature of certain orgs calling for intervention in other countries and support them out of filling out their incredibly contextless standards for revolutionary action.

Yeah see the funny thing is that having a red flag doesn’t make you communist. USSR would have put me in a fucking gulag for being who I am. They brutally cut down on unions. China is literally just a state capitalist country with a red coat of paint, as well as a love of cutting down on religious groups. Both are authoritarian police states. Funny how MLs are all ACAB unless those cops claim to be for communism.
