so frankly my description of this in the initial is pretty inaccurate and was based on an incomplete picture i had; what specifically this entails is children whose sex may be disputed (entirely subjective; who decides this?) will be forced to undergo some kind of checkup with a medical professional. basically, it requires a doctor’s note. beyond the fact that this essentially enables teachers/coaches to harass children they think might be trans, it is also, still, insanely invasive. combined with a bill like the kind we’ve been seeing appear in other states that requires trans kids to be outed and bans trans healthcare, this could be truly devastating.

tl;dr: this bill does not legalize child molestation like i initially mistakenly said, it just enables sexual harassment/abuse toward children.
