December 14, 2019 at 5:11 pm my brother Jamee Johnson was shot & killed by Jacksonville Sheriff Josue Garriga. He was pulled over for a routine traffic stop & wind up getting shot in the chest 4 times. What kinda shit is that??? It's been over a month and no information has been released to my family while this murderer is sitting on PAID administrative leave. It's said my brother wasnt wearing his seatbelt but since when does a $50 citation end in an execution? My brother was 22, rising senior at Florida A&M University & was scheduled to graduate(alongside me) on May 1st 2020 with no criminal record. The intital reports are saying my brother reached for the gun he had in the car(which he alerted to them upon being stopped because yall know how cops are. It was registered & licensed to him) & attempted to shoot two officers, now that is bullshit if I ever heard it. My brother knew how police viewed him so he conducted himself in a way that would pose no threat whatsoever. No body cam footage has been released, autopsy results havent been released nor has the sheriff's office even notified my parents. They found out on Facebook....FACEBOOK. Imagine having a regular ol day & there's talk on social media & pictures of your youngest son shot dead on the ground & you dont know what's going on? Yeah, that's really what's going on. Since Dec 14th atleast 3 more office involved shooting have occured, there's a serious problem there. The city has the highest murder rate in the United States & none of these killer cops are ever held accountable via indictment or any charges. NOT ONE. That ends now. That cop that killed my brother will answer for this, I write this long post(sorry) to ask you guys to please take a moment to read, sign & share this petition demanding the body cam footage of the night that ended my brother's life. He didnt deserve that & I cant even begin to mourn the loss of him while his killer is on the verge of getting off.
