What the 97’ liners did doesn’t deserve the amount of backlash they got but it WAS an irresponsible choice. If any of them actually got covid, they’d be exposing so many other idol. Many could’ve been higher risk. They should have met up at a less crowded area or privately if they wanted to see one another. I feel like people saying they did no wrong is just overlooking how dangerous covid truly is and how many healthcare workers are risking their lives.

To be fair South Korea never went on lockdown :/ so them going out was perfectly fine. But I understand your view and how serious covid is, it’s just other people were out and about too but they pinpoint the idols. So all in all, wear your mask, stay 6ft apart, and if you feel sick stay home. Shoutout to the healthcare workers as well!

i think the reason why there isnt as much “popular ship”(Taekook Jikook sope etc) moments or selcas is bc the fandom takes shipping too seriously over such things and they just stopped posting those all together? It’s weird af to see urself being shipped by a lottt of people and them disecting every interaction with another friend.

I don’t like shipping to be honest. I can get behind the names of Taekook if I see a picture of them, but shipping them together is eh. Let Jungkook take a picture with whoever he wants and not have people go investigating about what it means and how Taehyung would react. Let it be.

It makes me really sad when people put down one group to life up another. I saw a tweet hating on a boy group to lift up girl groups. Yes, some girl groups are underrated and don’t get the recognition they deserve compared to boy groups who do the same, and yes, the industry is sexist. But that’s not the boy group’s fault? I don’t deny that they benefit from the industry’s sexist standards, but there’s no relation between that boy group’s success with girl groups getting less recognition.

Stop putting down other groups to make yourself feel better about the group you stan it’s stupid. Let’s all just get along oh my god, I swear the Kpop community fans can get so annoying “My group is better than yours!” and then boom a fight. Let’s just RECOGNIZE the hard work that EVERY group puts in to achieve this goal.

And the industry is so SEXIST. Just saw a thread of how labels made female idols who were minors dress sexually and that is not RIGHT. Stop putting out the sexy vibe for minors.

I really hope for a moment in the future where idols can freely date without putting their careers at risk but I also fear that maybe companies will use this couples as publicity stunts and gimmicks like western companies do. (For example, every time one direction had a comeback there was also a “dating scandal” and I’m not saying 100% were fake but some just felt so fabricated and it is something that labels do. So I hope we never see that in kpop)

I literally CANNOT wait for the day where idols aren’t afraid to date and tell everyone instead of just saying out of the blue “Hey I’m getting married” and THEN write an apology letter for FALLING IN LOVE. Unbelievable and if ANYONE follows us that is against idols dating please unfollow, they deserve to have a love life and find their soulmate like we all do. They are human beings as well.

When I saw Hyewon and Minju auditions in produce 48 I couldn’t believe they achieved to make a debut. They are (or were, I honestly don’t know, maybe they have improved) so bad and I was baffled that people voted for them but I thought maybe it was because they are so undeniably pretty, but now we know that people didn’t really voted for them. I hope that after the disbandment they become actresses, they have the faces and honestly they don’t deserve to be idols.

Target's maknae, Woojin, has a lot of potential - dance, rap, visual - which is way above the level of his fellow members but they're adamant about staying together and honestly I think that's gonna hold his career back. Like I feel like if he left the group and solo auditioned elsewhere he'd actually have a decent chance of debuting in a decently popular group or he would do well on one of those audition shows.

Well I have another group to search up, I never heard of this group until now! I’m intrigued...

i feel like ppl give fans who hype up their faves too much crap. they constantly put down those fans by saying stuff like “it’s not that impressive ___ does that too”. and yeah maybe some fans DO overhype their faves, but to me that’s not?? a crime???? i agree some fans can be extreme with it, but the majority are just appreciating their faves, and i feel like ppl are quick to shut them down and imo that’s kind of rude, if u don’t agree just move on

I introduced my close friend to a group he used to dislike and now he’s obsessed with them, which at first was great. But then lately he’s been acting really obnoxious and even told me he’s a better fan than I am because he watched a lot of their content and is starting to buy more merch than I am. And that really hurts. I hate when people compare who’s the “better” fan because I don’t see the point. At the end of the day we just want to support our faves. Why is the competition necessary?

UGH I hate that for you anon, there should be NO competition on how you support your faves. Who cares if someone has more merch or more albums or more time to stream, if you can have those possibilities all power to you that’s AWESOME. But if you don’t that’s FINE TOO! Everyone supports their faves in different ways and making it a competition is just stupid, support your group and support the fans too.
