Taehyung could already feel the dread settling in his stomach as soon as he made eye contact. What’s worse was that the male immediately started walking towards him. On any other day, Taehyung would have turned around and walked the other direction right away. However, today was the one exception because he told his grandmother he’d be over for lunch and he was already running late.
Taehyung already knew where this was going. If he was going to get to lunch on time, he was just going to have to deal with it.
“I was wondering when you were going to get here. Traffic bad?”
As soon as the stranger threw their arm around his shoulders though, Taehyung’s hand immediately went to grab their arm. Before he could rip their arm off him though they hurriedly asked him to go along with it. Despite wanting to push everyone out of his way at that exact moment, the small good part of Taehyung’s conscious whined to him. Of course, it only ever really made a peck at his thoughts whenever he was about to see his grandmother.
Straightening his back, Taehyung decided to pull the male closer by the arm instead of tossing him off. While silently agreeing, Taehyung had his eyes trained on the woman the entire time, watching her reaction. She was annoying, and he was going to be late because she couldn’t have been bothering someone else on some other street.
“Is this woman harassing you?” Taehyung asked gruffly, sure to focus his glare directly at her.
He knew he should have just pulled the guy along and each their own way once they were away from the woman, but he was irritated. If people wanted to make inconveniences for him, he had no obligation to be kind to them.
“You would think people know when they’re being disrespectful, but people like this have nothing better to do I guess,” Taehyung continued training his eyes on her, watching her shrink under his dark stare.
the good thing about this situation was it now seemed this stranger was going to agree to play along and now heedo had the perfect excuse to get away from this reporter before he got too annoyed. because if he did get too annoyed he would start getting rude, and then he find some article about how he was a horrible person and that was the sort of press he didn’t need at the moment.
the bad thing about the situation was that the guy he had picked to be his savior wasn’t really sticking to the plan. not that heedo had mentioned any sort of plan, but usually, in this kind of scenario, you would think to just use yourself as an excuse and make a quick exit. but that was not what was happening and the guy was now asking about being harassed. and that was probably going to make the situation worse and heedo did not need the situation to get any worse.
“yes, well,” he just responded, a shaky looking smile on his face as his grip tightened around the guy’s arm in an attempt to start steering him away in the opposite direction. which was all he needed him for, once the reported was out of sight and around the corner, then he wouldn’t need him anymore. and maybe it was rude just to think as this other person as something he can use to escape, but he would at least thank him for the help.
“doesn’t matter now,” he added after a moment, offering an almost apologetic look towards the reporter who had previously been annoying him, “you’re here now. so we can go.” and that was the end of that, he was now standing around here for any longer and started to walk off, giving the man he still had an arm slung around a little jog to get going.
