This my friends is what happens when you fail to think ahead. Felt proud of myself for planning ahead and packing my gym clothes so I could workout after I got off work. Well the high that day was 7°… and what coat did I decide to wear that day?? My lightweight leather jacket.. ummm yea. Doesn't really work... not quite the look I was going for.. OK, I may be full crazy, but not crazy enough to do a full marathon. I did my first half last Sept. It was truly amazing!! I'm planning on completing two this year. Anyone else complete a half or wanting to this year? #running #13.1 #marathon #goals
Precisely my friends. Makes senses yes? But in real life this IS how we've been taught to "reward" ourselves. Food is not a reward. Food is fuel. Sure we all have cravings, eat treats, have a beer, or that slice of cake. But it should be balanced. Aren't you deserve more than a doughnut, a greasy pizza, or that plate of cookies?? Workout √ Love the feeling after a good workout. OK, any workout ;) Also realized I've been skipping my stretching before and after I exercise. I know some people think that it doesn't really help prevent injury, but my body needs it. It's important to keep your flexibility. Relieve some of that tension. I like it. My body needs it. I'm a total late night snacker. I try not to eat past 8:00pm..but I am a girl after all;) so I whipped up this little bowl of heaven. I even impressed myself;) 1/2 cup-1 cup Chobani Greek vanilla yogurt 1/4 scoop chocolate Shakeology. Dash of cinnamon. 1tbsp mini chocolate chips. It's chocolate mouse people!! It's AHmazing. I don't think we realize how much we complain during the day. Whether it's out loud or the negative talk inside our heads. Let's just STOP the madness shall we? Every time you begin to think something negative about yourself or others, every criticizing remark you began to say, or whatever negative comment you have...just STOP yourself. Literally tell yourself to stop. See what changes you have to your attitude and mood throughout the day.
