           ‘     am   i   suppose   to   be   happy  ?      ’    he   has   so   much   potential,   not   one   power   resides   within   the   boy.   the   youngest   parr   realized   what   this   means   and   there’s   going   to   be   a   lot   riding   on    his   shoulders.    ‘     is   it   wrong   to   want   to   live   a   normal   life   when  a  family  outing   could   lead   to   breaking   out   into   costume   and   saving   the  city  ?     ’    he   can’t   remember   when   a   villain   hasn’t   interrupted   family   time   and   they  pretty  much   tore   out   of   their   civilian   clothes   and   fought   back.   ‘     i   hear   this   cheesy   line   from   all   these   hero   films   ‘   with   great  power  comes   great   responsibility  ‘   but   i   didn’t   ask   for   all   of   it.     ’    hues   direct   it’s   eyes   towards   the   fire  pit,   one   he   replicates   as   his   hand   is   engulfed   in   flames.

ATLANNA

            at    the    edge    of    the   cove,    limbs   wrapped   around     her    own   flesh   and   blood.    all    snug   and   tight,    chin   rest     upon   arthurs    shoulder    as    the   waves   crashed   gently   against   the   shore.    a    part   of   her   missed    the   sea,   longing    to    dive   right   in   with   her   son   and   swim   across   but   another   part   of   her   couldn’t   leave,   not   when   her   husband   was   a   key   role   in   her   decision   to   stay,   for   her   family.    ‘      arthur,   would   you   like   to   go   for   a   swim?    ’    she   could   feel   it,    the   constant   movement   as    she    was   deep   in   thought.   ‘     your   toes   just   can’t   stop   wiggling   for   the   water,    ’   a   slight   tickle,   as   digits   rub   at   his   side   before   she   lifted   his   shirt.   ‘    only   for   a   little   while,     ’   hushed   tone,   as   she  lifted   him   off   her   lap   and   into   the   water.   

             oceanic   hues   gaze,   watching   as   he   swam   farther  ,   greeting   the   sharks   that    made   their   way   into   the   cove.   carrying   the   shirt,   she   carefully   hops   from   one   rock   to   the   other.   her   husbands   voice   carried   by   the  wind,  a   little   wave   as   he   approached.   a   sudden   realization   ,   he   immediately   rushes   to   the  water.   ‘     thomas,   he’s   fine  --   see   how   he   swims   among   them,   without   harm?  ’    puzzled   by   this   very   nature,   he  worries   only   for   their  son’s   safety.   ‘       in   time,   i’ll   tell   you   but   trust   me.   arthur   is   safer   in   the   waters   than   our   kitchen.  ’
