Arduino + camera shield + solar panel is a success!
Fibre to make stars for the little wizard's Christmas stocking. I think I'm going to go with navy Briggs & Little for the stocking, then duplicate stitch his name and the decoration in this stuff. It's a merino/rayon/selling blend, very pretty and well-prepared, but feels meh in the hand when spinning.
Nerd Girl Yarns polwarth and silk, 3-ply fractal spin, sock weight. Colourway "Flashy Lighty Things and a Cloud Belt". I have a LOT of this, and it's been kicking around on the bobbin forever. Possibly a future shawl.
Here's hoping that 我们的小男巫 takes the hint.
First produce from my garden: beet thinnings! Dinner tonight included steamed beetlets and beet greens sauteed in butter.
Handspun has been transformed into a basic newborn hat! I'm pleased with the even stripes. Hoping to use the leftovers to make a Nordic striped ball for 男巫's first Christmas.
The proto-newborn hat :)

Actually kind of amused by this.
Golden booties for 男巫.
I am too easily entertained.
In a document testing for compliance with the Epub3 <ruby> tag:
The <b>Grass mud horse</b> — <ruby>草泥馬<rp>(</rp><rt>Cǎo Ní Mǎ</rt><rp>)</rp></ruby> - is … characterised as “lively, intelligent and tenacious”. Finally finished 男巫's blanket! Knit a cover for the colourwork to prevent him from getting his fingers caught in the floats.
Pattern: "Hagrid's Dragon Blankie" in 50/50 merino/silk from Sweet Georgia Yarns (English Ivy and Oxblood colourways).
Mods: Used a different (and slightly wider) lace pattern around the edges, knitted a cover for the colourwork, 男巫's initials knit into the cover in Harry Potter font.
Farley Mowat’s writing and choices inspired me. Thank you for a lifetime of passion. Rest in Peace.
Putting up the crib! 男巫's sleeping arrangements still need a bit of work, though. Trying to decide what I should use to fill in that gap.
Progress on 男巫's baby blanket.
