āyeah whatever, shorty,ā jiho said, brushing her reprimand off, his hand doing a sass-filled snap in the air. āno one who hears me is gonna care.ā the two of them actually got along quite well when they werenāt bickering, as the two soon-to-be seniors just trying to rein in their cliques could relate to each other⦠sometimes. he knew soojung could actually be quite sweet under all the crap she gave him, so he wasnāt really afraid of her, but the hipster did know she could pack a serious punch so he tried to make sure he was at least 3 feet away from her little arms before rolling his eyes in the vicinity. this also probably wasnāt the best time to be messing with her.
the two of them had somehow drifted off campus together after the whole mess with the police had finally started to slow, deciding to get some food from street vendors in the boulevard nearby. jiho had been starving, as the police had had a lot of questions of him, since people pointed him out as the ex-boyfriend of somin, the stoner leader. as they sat at a plastic table near the food stand, he continued on with his noisy explanation, paying little attention to the fact that he was disturbing the other people trying to enjoy their evenings.
ālisten, Iām just theorizing here, and I think we can rule out your leader as a snitch,ā jiho nodded, talking animatedly with his hands and drawing abstract shapes in the air. āletās be logical, hm?ā the male gave her his usual cheesy half-smile, his brows furrowed together, trying to remember the facts. āour cafĆ© was trashed, but why would the rebels mess with the place just for the sake of it? yongjoon doesnāt seem like the type to fuck with people just for the heck of it. I canāt say anything for the art room or what happened to the stoners, but if my suspicions are true, this is all one personās doing, or maybe one group, but itās not a war like they want us to think. seeing how whoeverās messing with us seems to be moving up the school food chain, it just doesnāt add up. why would the rebels fight down? you guys donāt have anything to prove,ā he concluded, taking a bite out of his spicy rice cakes while quirking a brow at her, curious to know her thoughts.
Shorty? Seriously? Soojung sneers at the nickname, her eyes blazing as she glares in annoyance at the hipster but the male seems to pay no attention to her heated gaze. Soojung had tried to quiet him down after noticing the looks they were receiving but seeing as Jiho wasnāt planning on lowering his voice anytime soon, there was nothing more she could do (though she does make a mental note to never bring him out in public ever again). The rebel slowly returnsĀ to munching on her food, doing little to interrupt the maleās extended analysis of the odd situation. Soojung watches lazily as he uses wild gestures to explain his viewpoint, offering a nod every now and then to assure the boy that she was still listening.Ā āAlright, Sherlock Holmes, I think youāve been watching too many episodes of Criminal Minds,ā Soojung snickersĀ ābut you do have a point.ā
The rebel rolls her eyes at the mention of her leader, temper flaring momentarily as she recalls the baseless accusations thrown his way. "Why would anyone even suspect Yong? As far as my knowledge goes, he doesn't even give a fuck about ā well, anything, let alone all this clique bullshit." Soojung takes a long sip of her slushie before giving her friend a long, thoughtful look. "That being said, I wouldn't entirely rule out the rebels either. I mean, I'm not saying the culprit is a rebel, but they could be for all we know. Personally I think this whole shit show is less about moving up the food chain and more about destroying it as a whole from the inside out." Surprised by her own moment of rationality, Soojung gives herself a mental pat on the back before hiding her proud smirk under a blanket of practiced neutrality.
