⌜☬⌟ ➡ He had come so far, had made so much progress on his own that Darkling felt like he could handle returning to the Graveyard. It had been a while since he had come back to this place, not since that final battle. It had not changed one bit but one thing was certain Vanitas had grown. He was no longer the boy who mindlessly listened to the man who had raised him. Oh no, now he would be able to handle himself.
Yet some things would never change, much like the reaction body had to the sudden voice behind him that froze blood in veins. Eyes widened in shock, was there a tint of fear in those golden depths? "How are you alive." he whispered not sure if he should try and strike first or escape. While he didn't want to look weak this was so sudden Vanitas wasn't even sure if he was prepared. No, he was prepared but those days of suffering at this man's hands had made it hard to want to act again.
"Leave this place, Old Man." He hissed as amber jewels narrowed and hardened. Vanitas was not going to run, not this time when he had finally become his own person. So when the older male responded sarcastically Vanitas barked a harsh laugh. "You just don't listen, do you?" he sneered before suddenly noticing the way hand twitched and tried to jump back. He wasn't fast enough and the blade of weapon struck against hip as Vanitas moved. Swearing under breath he looked back to his former master and glared.
The way the man was so calm and cold had sent a shiver down spine from habit. "Ha, real funny coming from you." There went that mouth of his again, but the ever confident smirk in lips masked to emotion he felt. So when he was kicked in the ribs after falling to his knee he flew back a good bit.
"Oh good, and here I was wondering if you had gone soft as well as weak."? He wiped the spit that was on his lips standing to his full height. He now was looking directly into the older mans eyes, that ever cocky grin on lips. "Oh yeah? Then what are you going to do about you old fucker." he spat hand raising to show middle finger to his former master.
