My heart matter... (poem)
Heart so calloused from time.Remorse, grief, disappointment, regret has built a wall so tall it can withstand a tornado - that lovely whirlwind which can carry me up but nowhere. This calloused wall, thought to have been a temporary setback is now a permanent foundation.
I wish to be Rapunzel and you be my prince. Climb my wall to reach my heart. The mountain is high and steep. Only patience and perseverance can melt it. More time and strife can you overcome it. Please don't think a burden of my wall. I do not know how else to mend my heart.
I believe love to be everlasting. Not this whirlwind, this storm, you have swept me away in. The walls become a fortress through and through. Thou does not foresake for my heart is loyal and true. Facades and pleasure are skin deep. The calloused path proves disconnected.
Temptations are the flesh are just that. Matters of the heart are dark and unyielding. Too powerful and deep as blood pumps through and to my heart. The heart is not handed or delivered. Do not expect was is not yours.
My prince will come or I stand alone. I believe in truth and love, but there is no one true love. Only truly love, or love truth.
