Sparrow, Wren, and Finch
Due to lack of engagement, I have posted the last 4 chapters all at once. I knew from the start that this was a risky subject to write, but wanted to finally complete this story even though it took so long. For my own mental health, I have just posted it all at once. If you have been reading it, I hope you enjoy the last bit.
Here are the links from the beginning.

Bokouto Koutarou 100% kissed and hugged all of his team mates every night after every practice and would chase them down if they tried to flee.
He would give them a bone crushing hug every time and lil smooch on the cheek or temple with a sad and woeful good night like he wasn't going to see them tomorrow for practice
This was probably awkward for the jackals at first until.
Kiyoomi allows Bokouto to hug him but if he gives him a good night kiss it has to be on his hand so he can hurriedly put hand sanitizer on
And Atsumu was probably super against it until he felt left out when even Kiyoomi was allowing him to do it
Now the boys line up every night and get their token of good sleep, a squeeze that a python would be jealous of and a quick peck before everyone went home. It's now become a thing with the team to (one that fukutofani also believed in) that you will have terrible sleep if you don't get the hug and kiss goodnight
I feel like Bokouto does this because, as we've seen, he's a very touchy touchy person. It's obvious that his love language for friends, family, and partners would be hugs and such. But he's also a very compassionate and loving person. He tries to make friends with everyone bc he loves everyone!
He just wants to make people and be happy with people in turn so he shows how much he appreciates the people in his life with physical touch!
I also feel it's in due part to the fact that he has older sisters and he's stated in the Manga (somewhere I can't remember where exactly it's been AWHILE) that he's really close with his sisters so I feel like he grew up in a very loving home, especially since he's the baby of three
His family was probably very loving to him and just wants to let all the love he has for people show bc he has just so so so so much trapped in his big ol' heart!
Anyway, I thought about this and it ended being a lot longer than I wanted bc I'm procrastinating going to bed
Sparrow, Wren, and Finch Chapter 9
Kurt groaned in frustration as he stared at his closet. He couldn’t deny it anymore. It was becoming obvious that he wasn’t just gaining weight. He knew everyone would know soon enough. His quirk was a huge help, he didn’t have to worry about buying new clothes to fit his ever expanding belly. He just always seemed hungry no matter how much he ate. And the proof of that indulgence was staring back at him.
He knew there had been whispers in school. He had heard them as they passed. He wasn’t sure if they had guessed yet, or if people thought he was just getting fat but he knew they would have to tell people soon. He was just glad no one had been rude enough to ask.
So far the only faculty members that knew outside of Isabelle and Elliot were the Headmaster and Aceso. Kurt knew, however, that even his baggiest sweaters were not going to cut it to conceal his baby bump any longer. He pulled on his favorite pants, once again expanding the waist, as Blaine entered from the bathroom drying his hair.
“We are going to have to tell people soon. People have to know.” Kurt said as he pulled on yet another comfy sweater thankful it was November. He couldn’t imagine trying to hide this in the summer heat.
Blaine wrapped his body around Kurt’s, his hands cupping his bump lovingly and kissed his cheek before saying, “The doctor gave you a clean bill of health yesterday. You're already 16 weeks. We can just tell them you know. But if you are uncomfortable we don’t have to.”
“It’s not that I am uncomfortable,” Kurt sighed, “I just don’t want to deal with the questions. Maybe today is the best time. Thanksgiving break is almost here.”
“Just let me know when you are ready, you know everyone is going to be over the moon for us right?” Blaine said, kissing his cheek again.
Kurt’s decision happened in a moment. He was happily listening to his Junior design students reminiscing about their first ever costume project as they looked over their latest request forms. Seeing Sura and her fellow classmates enthusing about his lesson made him want to tell them. He wanted to share with this class in particular. (And no matter if anyone ever asked he didn’t have a favorite student, even though deep down he still had a soft spot for Sura.)
Before calling the class to order he texted Blaine.
I want to tell them. Now.

Sparrow, Wren and Finch Chapter 8
The hardest thing for Kurt was not telling everyone he met that he was carrying his and Blaine’s child. When they had decided months ago when all this had begun to not share the news until the end of the first trimester, Kurt didn’t realize just how hard that would be. They had only known a month and still the only person that he had been able to tell about it was the receptionist at the Obstetricians office he had called to set up the appointment that was still a week away. They lay in bed sated and happy, Blaine lovingly stroking the small bump that had now formed, an activity he didn’t seem to grow tired of when Kurt finally said what he had been wanting to blurt out for a month.
“I want to tell people.”
“What?’ Blaine asked lazily.
“Not everyone obviously,” Kurt said, “But I want to tell Elliot and Cooper, Isabelle too. Just the people who already know it's a possibility.”
Kurt looked down at Blaine and saw as understanding lit his face, a moment later confusion colored it again. “Cooper knows it's a possibility?”
“I mean I didn’t tell him,” Kurt laughed, “But I wouldn’t be surprised if Elliot did. I don’t think they keep anything from each other any more and you know they are practically living with each other.”
Blaine smiled, “Yea, I don’t think I have been to Elliot’s when Cooper hasn’t been there. Kinda makes me regret moving Cooper’s things into his apartment in the first place.”
“So- what do you think?” Kurt asked, playing with Blaine’s curls. “Can we tell them? I mean I don’t want to tell Elster yet, not until we know that everything is okay. But Isabelle and Elliot have both been there from the start. It would be nice to have support if-”
Kurt couldn’t finish the sentence but he knew that Blaine understood.
Blaine traced a heart over Kurt’s ever growing stomach before saying with a goofy smile, “I can’t wait to tell them either. Maybe we can invite them over for lunch tomorrow. I don’t trust Elster not to eavesdrop, not when Elliot, Cooper and Isabelle are here. Almost all her favorite people in one spot, I don’t think she could resist. Only thing that would make it worse is if Alfie and Laurel were here.”

Sparrow, Wren and Finch Chapter 7
By the time they returned to Dalton preparations for the new school year were in full swing and Kurt didn’t have the time to reflect on how he was feeling. He still had dreams but they were more vague than before. He would gently urge Blaine awake, who would quietly sing to him ridding his mind of any dark thoughts that lingered. His waking hours were filled with lesson plans, approving all his interns work with Mercedes help and getting Elster ready for the new school year.
The next Monday they had dropped off Elster on her first day of school. Kurt still couldn’t believe the changes that had come over her in the last year. She had waved them off at the door with confidence, only to be reminded they needed to show her to her new class. Kurt had barely even gotten a picture of her before she had rushed into the classroom.
Once they returned to campus, Blaine had left to oversee his students as they began to return to the dorm and Kurt went to check in with Mercedes at the workroom.
Their work was done and Kurt was showing her the lone picture he had snagged when she said, “I still can’t get over how adorable she is. She is the perfect mix of you and Blaine too.”
Kurt looked at her in astonishment, “You really think so?”
“Of course, she has Blaine’s black hair, and your pale skin and eyes. It’s like she is made of the most striking parts of each of you.” Mercedes laughed.
Kurt couldn’t help but stare at her for a moment before saying, “You do realize she isn’t biologically ours, don’t you?”
“You’re kidding me right?” Mercedes asked.
Kurt shook his head, “Blaine and I only met two years ago, I thought you knew.”
“Now I know you are pulling my leg,” she admonished him. “You can’t seriously think I would believe that, do you?”

Kurt woke the next morning to Blaine snuggling into his body. He couldn’t help but chuckle when Blaine whined, “Why are you wearing pajamas? I distinctly remember you being naked when we went to sleep.”
Kurt smoothed his hand down Blaine’s bare back feeling the rise and dip of the muscles beneath his palm before answering. “I was having trouble sleeping, so I snuck to the kitchens to try some warm milk.”
“Did it work?” Blaine asked.
Kurt sighed. “I need to tell you something,” he began.
Holding Blaine close to him, Kurt told him everything; about the dreams, his growing anxiety about his body, and his depression about not being pregnant yet. Blaine offered quiet support as he continued to talk.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Blaine asked once Kurt finished.
Kurt closed his eyes before admitting, “I guess I didn’t want to admit how weak I really am.”
“Kurt, you’re not weak.” Blaine said, kissing Kurt’s chest. “We support each other because that is what partners do. You give me strength everyday, and I like to think I do the same for you.”
“You do!” Kurt interjected.
Blaine pushed himself up so he was looking down at Kurt. “Then you can’t keep things like this from me. I can’t believe that I didn’t see how much you were struggling.”
“I’m sorry. I got really good at hiding these kinds of things when I was a teenager, I guess it’s a hard habit to break. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that I don’t have to go through things alone anymore.” Kurt said.
Blaine held Kurt’s gaze as he asked. “So what do you want to do?”
“What do you mean?” Kurt asked in return.
“I mean, say the word and I will book another appointment with Dr. Brooks. We can have them reverse the procedure. I can do it instead.” Blaine offered.

Sparrow, Wren, and Finch Chapter 5
Kurt was walking down the halls of Dalton, but it looked different than he was used to. Vibrant red lockers lined the walls now that just the look of sent spikes of pain down Kurt’s back. He picked up his pace and looked around him. Instead of crisp uniforms of his students, the teenagers surrounding him were clad in a mishmash of fashion.
His heart thudded in his chest when he spied the familiar red and white letterman jackets surrounding him. He wasn’t safe. As soon as the realization hit him, a solid body also collided with him, sending Kurt careening into the closest lockers. The action knocked the wind from Kurt’s body and he crumpled to the floor trying to catch his breath.
“Hey Ladyboy watch where you’re going,” a voice jeered from above him before its owner kicked him soundly in his side. “No wonder you don’t have a mark, who wants a little princess like you around.”
Kurt tried to recoil away from the words. It wasn’t true not anymore. He had a soul mate, he had a mark. Blaine loved him no matter what.
Kurt was then engulfed by a mass of bodies all yelling insults and slurs at him. He looked up, needing to find a way out. Blaine was standing there surrounded by those hateful faces. Kurt wanted to yell at him to run, to go before they would try and hurt him too.
Before he could, Blaine’s face morphed into one of disgust, “How can I love you? You're not the man I thought you were. You aren’t even a man anymore.”
As tears filled Kurt's eyes, Blaine turned from him and walked away. Kurt watched his winged back disappear into the crowd before it surged in on him and the beatings began.
Kurt was shocked awake.
He straightened himself panting. He had dozed off in the back of Cooper’s car.
“Kurt, you okay?” Blaine asked, looking at him in concern.
“Yea, sorry.” Kurt murmured.
Summer was almost over, and they were taking advantage of it by going on a vacation. Cooper and Elliot were in the front seat with Kurt and Blaine in the back. They had also invited Alfie and his parents, Clarise and William Sinclair to join them for a long weekend at a cabin by a lake. Elster had opted to ride with the Sinclairs in their minivan because, as she explained, ‘Alfie gets to watch movies in his car.’
Kurt was glad to be getting away, he had hoped that leaving the stress of work behind would help rid him of his dreams, he should have known better. He knew they weren’t there because of work. He couldn’t run from their source so easily. Kurt fought back tears as he tried to push the images from his dreams away. He didn’t want to worry anyone else with his own insecurities.

Sparrow, Wren, and Finch Chapter 4
Kurt woke the next morning feeling that wonderful soreness that only comes from working muscles you have neglected for far too long. Their sexlife had been anything but lacking, but it had been entirely too long since they had the time or space to indulge in each other for hours on end, to be able to completely lose themselves in each other.
Kurt arched his back, meeting the sturdy body of his lover. He hummed as their skin brushed.
“Can we freeze time and stay here for a while?” Kurt asked as he felt kisses pepper down his neck.
“It would be nice, wouldn’t it?” Blaine said and his hands began to explore. “If the world could just stop and we could be this carefree for a while.”
Kurt smiled and rolled over facing his husband. “Don’t get me wrong, I love our life; but sometimes I just want it to be you and me and nothing else. I don’t want to miss anything though. Why can’t we have both?”
Blaine kissed him softly, “We can, and we do. We just need to be better about keeping our room our haven.”
“Until then, let's make the most of the time we have.” Kurt proposed.
Blaine pulled Kurt closer, “Check out is at eleven,”
They barely made it out of the room before their check out time and Kurt couldn’t help giggling as they left the front desk. “What do we do now?”
“Well we only have a little while before we have to be at the airport,” Blaine began, “but there was something I wanted to show you.”
“Do tell,” Kurt said, intrigued.
Blaine smiled, “I wanted to show you yesterday but I didn’t think you were up for it before dinner and well after--”
“After, I think we had other things on our minds,” Kurt finished where Blaine trailed off.
Blaine led as they walked down the sidewalk. It was nice walking along the unfamiliar street, arm in arm with his husband. At that moment Kurt felt like he didn’t have a care in the world. They soon made it to a small greenspace in front of a massive building. Kurt’s eyes were drawn to a white marble statue in the middle. He was a little surprised when Blaine led him towards it. As they drew closer, Kurt gave a small gasp. There etched into stone was his mother. It was unmistakably her. The artist had captured The Angel perfectly down to the very last detail. It made Kurt’s heart ache to realize just how much taller he was than her. The life sized statue barely reached his chin.

Sparrow, Wren and Finch Chapter 3
Once Kurt and Blaine made it to Chicago, Kurt couldn’t contain himself. He wasn’t sure where to look first on the car ride from the airport. It was as if his eyes couldn’t take everything in at once. This was where he was meant to grow up. He was finally in the city that was supposed to be home.
Blaine’s hand found his, calming his frantically beating heart. “Breathe, Kurt.”
“I know, it’s just another city, but it is full of ‘what-ifs’, I can’t help it.” Kurt tried to explain.
Blaine smiled sweetly at him. “I know, and we will explore as soon as we can. We have a couple of hours before our appointment. We should probably get something to eat. Remember the nurse said it was best to indulge before the procedure.”
“Only with some things,” Kurt grumbled. The caveat that they needed to refrain from any sexual activity for the week prior was probably Kurt’s least favorite aspect of this whole ordeal so far.
Blaine’s laughter made Kurt huff with annoyance. “Oh, sweetheart, just think after this you have my complete undivided attention for twenty-four hours. Now I personally think that is something to look forward to.”

“Can I help you?” Kurt asked as he approached.
The man visibly started and turned around to stare at Kurt. “I’m looking for Blaine Anderson, is this the right house?”
Kurt gave him a suspicious look, everyone knew by now that Blaine had legally changed his name a long time ago to Hummell. Every piece of official paperwork had his new name. Anyone who had been in contact with him would know this as Blaine seemed to relish in correcting anyone that made the mistake.
“What do you want with Blaine?” Kurt asked slowly. He looked closer at the man and there was something familiar about him that Kurt couldn’t place.
Before the man could answer Kurt heard, “Cooper?” from behind him. He looked and saw Blaine walking up the sidewalk. Kurt looked back at the man and suddenly it hit him. This was Blaine’s brother.
“Cooper, what are you doing here?” Blaine asked once he was stood beside his husband.
“I wanted to come visit my baby brother, is that so wrong?” Cooper asked as he removed his hat with a flourish and gave a huge smile.
“And what is with that ridiculous getup?” Blaine added, shaking his head.
Cooper gave a comically large shrug before saying, “I didn’t want to be recognized. I am a celebrity you know.”

Sparrow, Wren, and Finch Chapter 1
One year later
Kurt was a bundle of nerves. He was trying his best to ignore the butterflies warring in his stomach as he finished up his lesson for his sophomores. He was thankful when the bell sounded ending the period, not that lunch would bring him any reprieve. He gathered his things and as he left his classroom was grateful to see Elliot approaching him.
“How did it go?” Kurt asked his friend.
Elliot gave him an easy smile. “I think it went well, at least as far as interviews go. I think Hina liked me in any case.”
“I have no doubt he loved you.” Kurt assured him. “I’m still surprised you wanted to apply for the position.”
When Elliot had first told him he was applying to replace the Class A teacher for the current seniors, Kurt was taken back. He had always assumed that even without Blaine, Elliot and Sam would move forward with their plans to open their own agency.
“Sam going to work for the Hero Department made me rethink a lot of things,” Elliot told him as they walked down the hall. “I think I like the stability of teaching and it’s not like I am giving up being a hero altogether.”
“I hope you get it. I think you will really like it here. And it will be nice being neighbors.” He laughed as he dug his keys out of his bag.
“It will be nice having a place to myself. Of course it feels that way now with Sam gone all the time.”
Since going to work for the Department, Sam had spent a lot of time undercover. Most of the time he was completely unreachable which worried all of them.
Kurt handed Elliot his keys, “Thanks for picking up Elster on such short notice. I have a few things I still need to get before we leave tomorrow. I was planning on picking them up during lunch but now I have to go and meet the applicant for the new costume tech instead. And Blaine has a meeting after class.”
“I told you before, I love watching Elster so don’t worry about it.” Elliot soothed. “Besides that just means we get to start our special El weekend a little earlier.”
“Hey now. You can’t get rid of me and Blaine so easily. We will still be home tonight. And besides it isn’t the whole weekend, we should be home Sunday afternoon.” Kurt laughed playfully pushing his friend.
Elliot swatted Kurt’s hand away with a smile, “Get out of here, or you will be late for your meeting. You don’t want this new hire to think you are always late, do you?”

Title: Sparrow, Wren and Finch
Author: Kurtswish
Beta: Buttonsandbows
Pairings: Kurt/Blaine
Rating: M
Word Count:
Warnings: Supernatural Elements, Mpreg, technically BP, dysphoria
Summary: In the final installment of the Avian series, Kurt and Blaine embark on a journey with one goal in sight; grow their little family. But this expedition may be enough to finally break Kurt. Traveling across worlds may not be far enough to distance Kurt from the scars of his past.
Author’s note: A quick note before we begin on this final (planned) part of the journey. The universe that this story is set in is based on that of My Hero Academia. If you are unfamiliar with this manga/show there are many different kinds of people with many different kinds of quirks. Please remember that this is a world where canonically there are major characters with multiple arms, a bird head, and even a disgusting little thing with “sticky balls” on his head. There are also characters that can slow time for a single person, destroy and rebuild any matter living or dead, and a character that can rewind a person even to the point before they existed. That is to say that there is really nothing in this world that is impossible.
This part of our story is going to deal with elements that are fantastical just like those from the source material. So yes, this story deals with body modification (and technically BP) and the hurdles that would come from going to those lengths to expand your family. There will be talk of bullying and dysphoria. If there are any concerns please feel free to contact me, I will gladly spoil you if you are unsure if there is something you cannot handle.
Prologue
Kurt woke up to feather light touches to his bare skin and a warm body snuggling close. He hummed in contentment as familiar kisses trailed down the back of his neck.
“Blaine,” he sighed, rolling over to face his husband. He spied the clock behind Blaine and added, “it is 3 in the morning, what has gotten into you?”
Blaine nuzzled their noses together and asked, “Do you know what today is?”
“My lucky day?” Kurt teased before kissing him, happy to indulge Blaine in his seemingly frisky mood.
Blaine pulled back and whispered, “One year, you came back here one year ago today.”
A smile bloomed on Kurt’s lips as he realized Blaine was right. “It feels like a lifetime.”
