Love is Killer
Pairing: Spencer Reid x Reader
Summery: Falling in love should be easy. Meet a nice girl, take her out, kiss her by the end of the night and do it all over again. However no one prepares you for when you fall in love with a killer.
Things to Know: I wrote this in Spencer’s POV and I probably won’t do that again if I write a second part. It’s just how it came to me and I rolled with it. 100% a little out of character. Feedback is welcomed if it’s kind. It’s my first time writing a full thing. this is inspired by the cat Adam’s storyline and Rossi having to meet with an inmate to get the information for a victim on his birthday.
Heights have always scared me. The thought of falling with nothing to hold onto or to catch my fall makes my blood cold. It’s all I think about as the chart shakes back and forth.
As the ferris wheel climbs higher I have to hold my breath. My fingers tighten their hold on the cart turning my knuckles white. Y/N leans closer to brace my hands in hers.
“I won’t let you fall” she whispers in my ear.
Her lips graze the start of my jaw. I find it more comforting than I should allow myself. I can only imagine Hotchners face if he knew the tingle of excitement that ran through me. For now, only I know that the tightening in my chest isn’t from sharing space with someone who barely escaped death row, instead it’s from the way she bites her lip after she makes me laugh. When I’m around her I have a hard time remembering the true intention of our dates.
“You could just tell me his name and we could both go home… well at least back to where we can sleep” I know it will never happen this early in the night as soon as it leaves my mouth and if I’m honest I don’t want the night to end just yet.
“I could, but then how would you know where to find him with just his name” she giggles as her finger tips ghost up my arm.
We both know that this date won’t end until she decides. Her eyes look past me into the clouds like she’s remembering or reliving a memory.
Although Y/N always smells of warm vanilla, I can’t help but wonder if the scent of blood still lingers which is ridiculous since she’s been incarcerated for 3 years now. I wonder if her flashbacks match the intensity of her victims or if she even remembers all of the nightmares she was the creator of.
“His name was Steven. Steven Dawson. He was so tall. I thought he might not see me sitting at the bar as he came into the hotel. His shirt had been dry-cleaned and his shoes had never been worn. I could tell by the lack of creases. You could tell he was such a family man, someone who would carry his wife’s picture in his wallet. That if I looked in his car I would find the little love notes on post it’s that has been forgotten. The kiss he gave me on my cheek lingered in the way that haunts women as he told me he was shocked a “girl” of my size could pull anything like what had been described to him. Like that was supposed to impress me.” She bats her long eyelashes at me. We both know his comment probably made her feel butterflies. She wants to be unpredictable to these guys, it feeds her ego.
“We chit-chatted for a while as his eyes kept roaming over my chest.”
I couldn’t help but also get a quick peak. Being caught by her made my entire face hot as the blush creeped up my neck. She loved every moment she could make me squirm.
“Finally I asked him why. I always have to know the reason. Beautiful family who lives in a house the size of Texas with one of those nasty golden doodles. You think killers have dead eyes? Look into the eyes of one of those curly demons.” She starts to play with the button on the bottom of my shirt
I allow myself one moment to wonder what dog she would have imagined us having in the future if this thing between us was normal. If we had just met in a coffee shop or at the park. But I know that reality will never be so I focus back on the story.
The look in her eyes ran cold as she describes Steven’s affair with the 21-year-old child of his business partner.
“Bella had everything he yearned for at that moment, no stretch marks from the new baby, no wrinkles around her eyes, and a tight ass.” She rolls her eyes as the earlier flirting faded from her voice.
I try to ask a question but she’s quick to cut me off.
“He wasn’t much of a fight but they never are once they think I’ll get on my knees for them. They let their guard down when they think with their dicks. Even though he was willing to risk his reputation for Bella, he could still have some fun with me if I could handle him he said. I showed him all I could handle” That giggle starts to appear again as the light fills her eyes back in. I can tell this is where she feel most comfortable, when men are at her mercy. “I can still remember the tremble his adam’s apple had as I twisted the knife I had lodged in his ribs with his dick still in my mouth.”
I can’t help but to flinch and deep down I know it’s not because of the killing blow but because of the thought of her with another man makes me fill with jealousy.
“And his body is where?”
“No one has found him in 7 years, surely you can wait a little longer before I get to the punch line” the wink she gives me has me blushing, again.
The Ferris wheel starts to make another trip around. My fingers now turning white in her hand as I accidentally grabbed them instead of the bar. I wonder if that was her plan all along. To get our fingers intertwined.
“I can’t imagine one stab wound would bring down such a tall victim, I mean surely he saw it coming ” I state as the Ferris wheel starts to stop. I tell myself that I keep my eyes locked on hers to avoid looking at the height we’re at, not because I think her eyes glitter in the sunsetting.
My heartbeat speeds up as I wait for her to describe more details. Whatever I expected, it wasn’t this.
“Did I mention that it was after his cum was dripping off my chin?”
I quickly fire off another question so I don’t have to think about her being on her knees for me, “And you somehow managed to get him out of your hotel how?”
Her smile told me all I needed to know, that she was eager to tell me all the details. Whether it was to relive it or to make me squirm I was wasn’t sure yet.
As an FBI agent, I believe every victim deserves justice. But as someone who has chased psychopaths for years, I understand why she killed a man who wanted to pay a hit woman to take out his wife and children.
