( twenty six , cismale , he / him ) ✉ ― hey babes, have you met 𝐊𝐀𝐘𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐃𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐎𝐒 ? they’re working here as 𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑 𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐁𝐀𝐑. you might hear them singing along to 𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐁𝐘 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐒, it’s their favourite song. yes, they hear that they look like 𝑻𝒀𝑳𝑬𝑹 𝑷𝑶𝑺𝑬𝒀 a lot, actually - it’s really uncanny. their friends back home in 𝑩𝑹𝑶𝑵𝑿, 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐘𝐎𝐑𝐊 say that if they were on a tv show, their trope would be 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐄𝐑𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐑, how funny is that ?

*  whispers  *  i  usually  have  something  witty  &  crafty  to  say  to  start  this  off  ,  but  i’m  blank  okay  .  let’s  cut  right  to  the  chase  &  enjoy  the  show  . 

the  story  begins  with  jeremy  &  trisha  de  santos ,  awaiting  the  arrival  of  their  first  born  . .  kayson  .  being  in  labor  at  five  months  wasn’t  necessarily  deemed  as  safe  ,  but  trisha  was   hopeful  that  her  precious  baby  boy  would  survive  .  and  he  did  .

thankfully  ,  being  a  survivor  was  embedded  in  him  since  birth  .  things  immediately  took  a  dive  for  the  worst  when  he  was  six  years  old  .  from  a  mother  dealing  with  her  newfound  illness  to  a  lackluster  of  a  father  figure  ,  the  young  boy  was  forced  to  actually  gear  into  survival  mode  once  more  .

school  lunches  would  be  somewhat  enough  to  hold  him  while  he  traveled  back  from  home  from  school  ,  only  to  place  his  priorities  on  the  backburner  for  a  couple  hours  .  his  mother’s  health  ,  as  well  as  his  mental  health  ,  fluctuated  up  &  down  (  having  extremely  high  ups  &  devastating  amounts  of  lows  )  ───  yet  he  never  gave  up  .  he  did  it  for  her  .

as  if  elementary  school  wasn’t  already  hard  enough  on  its  own  ,  the  horror  stories  surrounding  middle  &  high  school  were  just  as  true  . bullies  constantly  tormented  the  male  for  any  simple  reason  ,  friends  quickly  became  enemies  ,  &  the  entire  experience  grew  to  be  something  that  he  could  live  without  .

although  ,  staying  around  in  school  served  as  a  proper  distraction  to  the  clusterfuck  of  emotions  that  the  boy  was  facing  back  at  home  .  no  matter  how  much  kayson  tried  to  suppress  his  emotions  on  the  matter  ,  there  was  no  backing  down  from  the  truth  .  the  boy  was  growing  heartless  .  his  need  for  socialization  crashed  ,  resulting  in  a  rapidly  dwindling  social  life  ,  leaving  tons  of  room  for  the  male  to  find  himself  .  besides  ,  wasn’t  that  what  high  school  was  all  about  ?

the  remainder  of  high  school  was  shifted  specifically  on  that  ,  experimenting  . leading  to  grades  slipping  ,  more  academic  probation  than  desired  ,  and  a  reputation  of  a  male  who  lost  everything  practically  overnight  . the  addition  of  college  into  his  life  was  surprising  ,  sure  ,  but  it  had  been  something  his  mother  &  him  always  talked  about  . it  was  the  least  he  owed  her  .

time  met  kayson  eventually  ,  easily  resulting  in  grief  ,  the  end  result  in  the  male  turning  his  entire  life  around  .  well  ,  somewhat  .  his  mother’s  wishes  continued  to  live  in  the  back  of  his  mind  ,  yet  temptation  slowly  crept  up  to  reveal  his  innermost  colors  .

in  a  nutshell  ,  the  male  finds  himself  at  the  villas  steadily  picking  up  the  pieces  after  his  heart  -  shattering  loss  .  urges  to  find  a  distraction  whether  it  be  his  job  ,  co  -  workers  ,  alcohol  ,  drugs  ,  endless  spree  of  hook  -  ups  ,  the  blazing  sun  .  something  .  

wanted  plots  (  inspired  by  some  of  my  fav  songs  )  : 

80  /  20   -  maintaining  a  long  distance  relationship  is  never  easy  ,  kayson  would  know  ,  his  busy  schedule  &  duling  long  days  leave  him  away  from  the  one  special  person  back  home  .  in  comes  muse  b  ,  his  co  -  worker  and  source  of  happiness  ,  providing  him  with  pure  comfort  &  stability  :  the  other  half  of  what  he’s  missing  .  it’s  tempting  ,  too  tempting  ,  &  the  thought  of  muse  b  continuously  runs  through  his  brain  .  will  be  able  to  resist  temptation  ?  we’ll  see  .  

rendezvous  -  what  do  you  call  a  relationship  without  any  labels  or  commitment  ?  a  situationship  ?  a  hookup  ?  unlimited  hookups  ?  don’t  know  ,  but  that’s  what  kayson  has  with  muse  b  :  hookups  that  are  definitely  under  the  radar  .  in  order  to  avoid  any  semblance  of  feelings  or  issues  with  other  staff  members  ,  they  sneak  around  &  try  to  fulfill  each  other's  needs  no  matter  the  time  ,  the  place  nor  busy  schedule  . 

moment  -  tensions  have  been  forming  between  kayson  &  muse  b  since  ..  well  ,  his  first  day  at  the  job  ,  he  assumes  .  he  can  never  forget  the  quick  ,  longing  glances  across  the  room  to  the  other  or  the  many  daydreams  of  finally  having  them  to  himself  .  after  weeks  of  non  -  stop  teasing  &  flirting  ,  he’s  finally  able  to  get  them  alone  ,  offering  the  best  of  his  services  to  them  .  question  is  what  happens  after  :  will  things  be  awkward  ?  or  will  muse  b  finally  realize  that  kayson  was  the  best  thing  to  ever  happen  to  them  ?  

waves  -  like  any  relationship  ,  what  kayson  &  muse  b  shared  had  its  fair  share  of  up  &  downs  .  having  to  see  them  on  a  daily  basis  takes  a  lot  out  of  him  than  he  wants  to  admit  ,  feelings  that  he’s  harbored  for  months  after  their  break  up  .  then  it  hits  him  ,  they  were  practically  meant  to  be  .  does  he  fight  for  them  ?  avoid  them  ?  it’s  an  endless  ,  sick  game  of  thinking  about  them  constantly  then  wanting  to  ghost  &  eliminate  feelings  for  his  own  sake  .  

attention  -  muse  b  ,  opposite  of  what  kayson  is  ,  catches  wind  of  his  existence  ,  much  to  his  surprise  ..  especially  with  everyone’s  objection  .  they  were  out  of  his  league  ,  he  was  absolutely  sure  of  it  ,  but  he  didn’t  mind  .  not  with  the  attention  finally  on  him  .  he  ignores  the  warning  signs  ,  the  obvious  ,  immensely  blinded  by  infatuation  .  it  isn’t  until  the  gift  -  giving  wears  off  &  the  good  boy  image  drops  that  he  sees  the  truth  ,  his  money  &  affection  was  being  flaunt  off  elsewhere  .  break  his  heart  ,  please  .  

sorry  not  sorry  -  anyone  with  a  normal  pair  of  working  eyes  would  think  kayson  would  be  reeling  from  his  obvious  loss  ,  but  much  to  everyone’s  surprise  ..  he’s  okay  .  or  has  a  really  good  poker  face  ,  he  hasn’t  decided  yet  .  muse  b  can  find  kayson  enjoying  too  many  drinks  at  the  bar  ,  or  even  something  more  extreme  ,  worrying  about  his  well  -  being  .  he  appreciates  them  ,  but  cannot  stand  having  a  new  babysitter  .

she raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow playfully. “ good company, huh ? i think i definitely qualify as that. ” hues never left his now that he’d captured her attention and she found herself leaning slightly closer so that his words were more easily heard. “ it should be. not every face around here is a memorable one. at least, not for me, ” the femme admitted with a shrug. she was pleased to see the smile on his face since it matched her own, and she was glad she’d made the choice to sit at the bar that afternoon. “ only a couple of days, huh ? are you liking it so far ? ” small talk was something she’d always been gifted at, but it flowed more easily when she was genuinely interested in the recipient. recognition played across the other’s face as she revealed her name and she nodded knowingly. “ most people do, but not always for the best reasons, ” the femme responded with a light laugh. “ that’s a cool name. definitely not one that i’ve heard before. ” her smile stayed plastered on her face. “ so tell me, kayson. what’s your signature drink ? ”

“  oh  ,  i  agree  ,  no  complains  whatsoever  from  this  side  .  ”  words  are  genuine  since  he  hasn’t  stopped  smiling  since  her  arrival  ,  an  awfully  hard  feat  for  most  people  .  “  thank  you  ,  my  face  appreciates  that  .  .  same  to  you  ,  by  the  way  .  i’m  sure  you  get  that  all  the  time  though  .  ”  honesty  falls  straight  from  the  male’s  mouth  into  the  surrounding  atmosphere  ,  speaking  the  innermost  contents  of  himself  .  if  he’s  learned  anything  then  it’s  life  is  short  ,  and  everything  should  be  spoken  ..  no  matter  how  brutally  honest  .  “  it’s  been  pretty  dope  ,  can’t  lie  .  sports  are  always  on  ,  i  get  to  sneak  myself  a  shot  here  and  there  ,  and  the  people  are  pretty  cool  .  ”  has  much  to  do  with  this  interaction  ,  he’s  aware  ,  although  the  people  were  nice  .  some  ,  however  ,  seems  to  hold  his  attention  m  o  r  e  than  others  .  “  honored  to  be  the  first  ,  hopefully  the  last  too  ,  ”  shoots  his  classic  ,  boyish  smile  in  her  direction  ,  soaking  up  as  much  as  this  as  he  possibly  could  before  it  was  over  .  every  good  thing  had  to  be  ripped   away  from  him  ,  right  ?  “  but  definitely  a  long  island  iced  tea  .  so  many  layers  come  together  to  create  this  one  ,  beautiful  drink  .  i  relate  .  ”

it was the tendency to put a generous amount of tension on everything he did that made him form the word pact. christian had always lived with this urge to take everything to the next level, even if for the same of his own amusement. he could see his friend’s eyes flicker at it, so at times like these, it wasn’t such a bad thing. “ honestly ? that does sound lit , won’t even have to buy a one way ticket to the moon . if we somehow end up at the same nursing home you better do it with me. make sure you get or marry rich as fuck before you get crusty though , cause i’m not sitting in a tacky place because of you , ” christian said with a pointed finger towards him and snorted. “ life without me would be boring and everyone would be too comfortable and bland, and you know it, ” he responded with confidence, despite the other just saying it as a joke. christian had proved himself to be great at recovering others secrets since recently, so it just perfectly fit his current state of mind. “ would be smart to start , ” he warned. “ starting to miss home, so maybe i really should host a little gambling thing .” and by little he meant going as big as saint tropez was even capable of.

considers  male  across  from  him  to  be  the  bane  of  entertainment  ,  he’s  convinced  ,  always  possessing  the  ability  to  make  kayson  cave  .  almost  immediately  .  easily  what  gravitates  him  to  christian  ,  the  will  and  need  to  just  live  life  ,  something  that  once  scared  the  male  to  absolute  bits  .  “  alright  ,  this  place  pays  me  ,  but  not  in  diamonds  so  it’s  looking  like  i’m  charming  my  way  into  someone’s  ..  wallet  .  ”  smile  is  on  full  display  as  he  speaks  ,  a  couple  nods  in  agreement  with  his  words  .  it  was  definitely  possible  considering  several  individuals  of  immense  notoriety  just  strolling  around  ,  prompting  another  almost  devilish  grin  to  appear  across  chiseled  features  .  “  there’s  a  couple  things  i  know  ,  sir  ,  and  that’s  definitely  top  three  .  ”  speaks  the  utmost  truth  in  this  moment  since  it  remained  a  fact  ,  the  other’s  bright  and  elaborate  plans  instantly  becoming  memorable  in  kayson’s  mind  .  “  little  is  good  here  ,  chris  !  i  don’t  need  people  threatin’  to  cut  off  your  finger  cause  they  were  scammed  ,  ”  momentary  halts  after  the  first  bit  of  his  words  ,  full  sarcastic  demeanor  on  full  display  for  all  surrounding  them  to  witness  ,  “  and  i’m  people  .  ”

the atmosphere surrounding the place never got old, which was probably why the femme had been coming every summer for the last few years. the figure before her didn’t look familiar to her, which was where her guess that he was a staff member came from. it was, however, entirely possible that he was simply a first timer and decided to enjoy the sun like she was. “ good, because there’s nothing worse than putting something like that out there then taking it back, ” the femme responded with a pleased smile. “ i thought so. i didn’t mean to make assumptions but i’ve never seen you hanging around before and i think i’d remember a face like that. ” the smile stayed evident on her lips as she turned to face the other fully. “ no, i’ve been coming for a few years now. i’m sure you see a ton of people come and go though, so they all start looking the same after a while. ” she shrugged, telling him that it was no big deal. “ i’m vienna knox. you might’ve heard the name before. ”

“  i  have  my  moments  ,  sure  ,  but  i’m  never  one  to  turn  down  good  company  .  ”  features  have  no  choice  but  to  mirror  the  femme’s  ,  engaging  in  quite  the  playful  behavior  .  it  isn’t  like  the  male  to  engage  in  combative  nature  ,  especially  unprovoked  ,  and  he  was  sure  the  woman  wouldn’t  be  an  issue  .  “  is  that  right  ?  well  ,  my  face  is  definitely  h  o  n  o  r  e  d  to  be  considered  memorable  .  “  smile  remains  as  eyes  hook  to  hers  ,  excitement  level  practically  on  the  rise  with  every  passing  second  .  “  oh  ,  for  sure  .  i’ve  only  been  here  a  couple  days  and  it’s  the  same  thing  ,  like  ,  i  need  everyone  wearing  a  nametag  ,  ”  it  isn’t  until  she  says  her  name  that  everything  clicks  ,  the  familiarity  ,  the  personality  ,  the  smoothness  .  he’s  definitely  seen  her  before  .  “   ──  except  you  .  i  know  who  you  are  ,  lapse  of  judgement  ,  forgive  me  .  ”  words  are  sincere  while  he  speaks  ,  continuing  to  direct  his  boyish  ,  charming  smile  in  her  direction  ,  “  i’m  kayson  ,  by  the  way  .  ”

the dynamic between the two was never really that genuine. they were drawn to each other when doing the right thing and owning up to their mistakes was the last thing they wanted to do. they had no idea what was going on in each other’s minds, unless they decided to spill their guts to each other, but supported each other in this different way that worked way better. “ we need to make a pact on it . i have pretty obsessive tendencies , so if i’m suddenly drawn to being a golf dad , you’ve got to stop me . “ his tone was intense on that last bit. christian felt his throat burning slightly as a reaction to the liquid, but it was enjoyable enough. “ same for me. except i haven’t been able to get to know that many new people . –is a fucking shame i missed the welcome party, so i’m blaming it all on that, “ the male responded and shrugged. “ maybe i should do something about it. bring a bit of vegas here, huh ? ” a very specific expression popped on the male’s face as he was already scheming the possibility of that. it’d been a while since he had hosted anything, but with a bit of help, he could create something iconic. 

thought  of  a  pact  immediately  excites  kayson  ,  for  obvious  reasons  ,  wanting  nothing  more  than  to  create  chaos  with  those  who  he  could  actually  tolerate  .  tons  of  situations  play  though  the  male’s  mind  ,  a  smile  almost  instantly  plastering  onto  his  features  ,  “  fucking  boring  .  if  you’re  gonna  go  out  then  expect  a  bang  ,  like  ,  strapping  a  rocket  onto  your  wheelchair  ..  are  you  sure  you  want  this  ?  ”  allows  a  couple  of  giggles  to  momentarily  consume  his  entire  being  ,  duly  focused  on  savoring  this  moment  between  them  .  cleans  up  the  tiny  mess  introduced  by  their  want  for  shots  ,  lazily  at  that  ,  already  feeling  the  effects  beginning  to  sneak  up  on  him  .  unfortunately  ,  the  male  had  been  sneaking  back  shots  for  as  long  as  he  could  remember  .  “  oh  ,  so  that’s  why  everyone’s  still  here  cause  you  haven’t  scared  ‘em  away  ,  ”  can’t  help  the  giggles  from  returning  as  he  sees  the  other’s  expression  ,  wheels  spinning  in  the  dangerous  mind  of  his  ,  “  very  ,  very  broad  ,  chris  ,  but  i  do  like  where  you’re  headed  .  should  i  l  o  c  k  my  money  away  from  now  ?  ”

             big  cerulean  doe  eyes  stared  back  at  the  man  as  he  apologized  before  quickly  following  with  the  fact  that  he  could  buy  her  something  .  .  .  from  the  gift  shop  .  “  you  think  that  my  dress  can  just  be  replaced  by  something  from  the  gift  shop  ?  ”  her  voice  is  soft  &  sweet  ,  a  trick  she  learned  early  on  to  make  people  feel  worse  about  what  they  did  .  “  i  thought  my  dress  looked  real  pretty  —  i  didn’t  think  it  looked  like  somethin’  from  the  gift  store  ,  ”  jolene  looked  down  at  her  newly  stained  dress  ,  puffing  her  bottom  red  lip  out  just  a  bit  as  she  gave  a  sniffle  ,  “  maybe  it  was  for  the  best  that  it  got  ruined  then  .  ”

            “  oh  ,  well  ,  i  just  thought  ──  ”  still  surprised  by  this  entire  ordeal  that  he  hasn’t  had  a  chance  to  analyze  what  he  did  ,  and  that’s  when  it  sinks  in  the  most  .  from  the  looks  of  it  ,  much  aided  by  the  woman’s  response  ,  about  everything  she  was  wearing  seems  .  .  overly  expensive  .  lord  knows  it  would  take  an  arm  and  a  leg  just  to  make  that  back  .  “  i  wasn’t  thinking  ,  yeah  ..  that’s  what  it  was  ,  ”  desperately  tries  to  amend  the  situation  yet  is  clueless  as  to  how  ,  especially  when  her  remarks  only  dampen  the  chances  of  succession  even  more  ,  “  anything  i  could  personally  do  for  you  ?  name  it  and  it’s  yours  ,  it’s  only  right  .  ”

it was the perfect vacation setting, with swimsuit-clad young adults hanging around and soaking up the sun. it had quickly become one of the femme’s favourite places to be at any time of the year, but the crowd was much more fun around this time because of the demographic. chairs filled up as the minutes ticked on and vienna nursed her drink happily. every cool sip was delicious and refreshing, and she found herself ordering a second one as soon as the first was finished. as she did, her attention was brought to the unfamiliar figure who’d spoken up. “ oh, is that so ? ” she questioned, raising a single eyebrow in a playful arch. “ well, now that you’ve put the offer out there, you can’t take it back.” a playful smirk tugged at her lips. “ i’m guessing you work here normally ? ”

if  there  was  one  thing  the  male  quickly  realized  while  being  here  ,  its  that  other  people’s  happiness  brought  him  some  semblance  of  it  .  has  no  problem  with  it  actually  since  its  better  than  previous  years  ,  hellbent  on  turning  to  other  bad  influences  to  cope  with  the  innermost  workings  of  his  mind  .  hopefully  ,  this  particular  season  could  entirely  mask  the  past  for  good  .  “  don’t  worry  ,  i  definitely  think  that’s  the  last  thing  i  would  do  anyway  ,  ”  smile  is  genuine  as  the  words  that  fall  from  his  lips  are  the  utmost  reassuring  ,  elation  practically  consuming  every  bit  of  his  demeanor  ,  “  yeah  ,  i  do  .  not  here  though  ,  a  few  bars  over  but  yeah  .  ”  curiosity  hangs  over  his  figure  while  eyes  run  across  her  face  ,  smirk  returning  onto  the  male’s  features  ,  “  what  about  you  though  ?  first  time  here  ?  ”

             “  heavens  to  betsy  !  do  you  know  how  expensive  this  dress  is  ?  ”  jolene  had  just  been  walking  around  ,  trying  to  navigate  the  busy  bar  until  someone  came  by  &  spilled  something  all  down  the  front  .  it  was  sticky  &  unappetizing  &  jolie  knew  she  was  going  to  have  to  throw  the  dress  out  .  “  what  in  the  world  even  is  this  ?  ”  she  thought  out  loud  as  her  eyes  darted  around  the  packed  bar  ,  looking  for  some  sort  of  assistance  .

            rare  occasion  when  the  male  was  absolutely  rushed  with  requests  and  orders  ,  especially  having  to  personally  deliver  them  .  quick  and  the  utmost  of  attention  goes  into  his  daily  routine  ,  attention  solely  placed  on  satisfying  these  paying  customers  .  gently  places  all  of  drinks  onto  the  tray  before  beginning  his  stride  ,  only  to  instantly  be  met  with  another  figure  behind  him  ,  contents  literally  flying  everywhere  .  “  oh  shit  ,  i’m  sorry  ..  i  could  buy  you  something  ,  maybe  from  the  gift  shop  though  ,  ”  does  feel  relatively  bad  for  her  ,  as  expressed  on  his  features  ,  utmost  of  regret  now  displayed  across  his  face  .  “  by  the  way  ,  that’s  ,  uh  ,  my  l  a  t  e  s  t  concoction  .  you  don’t  wanna  know  .  ”

ocean-coloured eyes were concealed behind extra wide gucci sunglasses as vienna settled herself onto a stool at oceana’s. the pool water felt refreshing on her sun-kissed skin, and the femme breathed out contently, happy to see that the swim-up bar wasn’t overly packed. the bartender approached and she gave him a flirtatious smile before ordering a frozen strawberry daiquiri. she took the few minutes that it took for her drink to be ready inspecting her newely polishd coral nails, happy that she’d managed to get a mani/pedi an hour earlier. when the drink was placed in front of her, the femme smiled in thanks and took a generous sip. “ seriously, is there anything better than this ? ” she gushed happily, completely unaware of her surroundings as she took another drink. 

one  would  assume  that  any  days  off  from  his  job  would  be  spent  anywhere  beside  a  bar  ,  yet  he’s  here  ,  soaking  up  all  the  sun  and  alcohol  that  one  could  possibly  manage  .  it  was  good  in  a  sense  ,  change  of  attitude  ,  area  ,  personalities  ,  everything  seems  to  finally  be  going  up  from  here  .  only  increases  as  an  unfamiliar  voice  knocks  the  male  completely  out  of  his  thoughts  ,  attention  now  fully  places  itself  on  her  ,  “  well  ,  i’d  like  to  think  that  my  drinks  are  way  ,  way  b  e  t  t  e  r  ,  ”  the  utmost  of  confidence  coats  every  spoken  word  as  smile  sprouts  across  his  lips  ,  desperate  attempt  to  charm  the  femme  beside  him  ,  “  but  i  guess  that’s  extremely  biased  of  me  ,  which  means  you  gotta  check  it  out  for  yourself  one  day  .  how’s  that  ?  ”

           turning  people  down  wasn’t  a  habit  ,  but  more  so  something  that  just  wouldn’t  stop  happening  to  him  .  he  had  a  tendency  of  slithering  into  beds  with  alcohol  on  his  breath  and  inhibitions  thrown  out  of  the  window  .  ‘  i  don’t  know  about  living  here  .   sports  bars  aren’t  the  most  comfortable  ,  you  know  ?  ’  malachai  sets  himself  down  on  one  of  the  bar  stools  ,  and  rests  his  chin  the  palm  of  his  hand  .  considering  his  history  with  kayson  ,  slinking  into  his  bed  like  a  snake  after  its  prey  ,  it’s  no  surprise  that  the  bedroom  eyes  which  take  over  malachai’s  features  are  on  full  display  .  he  blinks  his  eyes  a  few  times  in  pure  curiosity  ,  wondering  where  kayson’s  headed  with  his  words  .  ‘  tell  me  what  ?  ’  malachai  reaches  for  his  slightly  watered  down  spiked  strawberry  lemonade  ,  letting  his  fingertips  dance  at  the  rim  for  a  second  before  bringing  the  drink  to  his  lips  .  ‘  it  depends  on  what  you’re  trying  to  do  for  this  break  .  are  we  going  to  have  fun  ?  ’

          listens  attentively  to  the  words  spoken  the  other  ,  typical  action  for  kayson  whenever  was  around  malachai  .  he  just  understood  without  having  to  say  a  word  .  ‘  i  dunno  ,  what  more  could  you  need  ?  bomb  snacks  ,  drinks  on  hand  ,  tv  with  all  the  sports  you  could  imagine  ,  ’  facial  features  still  manage  to  p  a  r  t  i  a  l  l  y  illuminate  under  the  dim  lighting  ,  enjoying  the  utmost  of  this  conversation  .  eyes  swipe  to  the  other’s  features  once  more  to  truly  analyze  what  he  sees  ,  already  eliciting  a  proper  smile  across  freshly  -  wet  lips  .  words  spoken  only  bring  out  from  laughs  from  him  ,  leaning  forward  over  the  counter  ,  pure  boyish  charm  in  full  affect  for  everyone  to  witness  .  ‘  but  ,  uh  ,  if  your  definition  of  fun  includes  staying  in  and  playing  bingo  .  .  probably  not  .  ’

what he had revealed about the previous night wasn’t that hard to get out there. luck was on his side and he hadn’t done anything bad for once, even though he didn’t believe in luck. one who grew up around card games and casinos was smarter than that. “ if i’m still alive, it means i’m getting old and boring , “ he was joking, but he winced nonetheless. he came here as that pause from all of his responsibilities and his family. this was his only chance for screw ups. some part of him wanted to make little ones. christian let out a chuckle and took a filled glass in his hand to raise at his friend. “ but i’m manifesting twins for us either way. ” he grinned. he was quite sure anyone hearing this conversation from afar would judge the hell out of them, but the male swallowed the liquid in one go. “ give me some updates on yourself. what’s been keeping you busy besides the bar ? or should i say, who ? “

eyes  meet  the  other’s  gaze  ,  immediately  prompting  his  smile  to  be  on  full  display  for  everyone’s  personal  enjoyment  .  conversations  like  this  definitely  aids  in  hiding  what’s  truly  stirring  within  the  male  ,  and  he’s  thankful  ,  at  least  for  this  very  moment  .  “  you  ?  old  and  boring  ?  i  would  never  let  that  happen  ,  ”  nods  in  full  agreement  of  his  own  words  ,  fully  aware  that  the  other  would  never  settle  down  as  long  as  kayson  was  still  breathing  .  male  thrives  on  adrenaline  ,  living  freely  ,  all  things  he  would  want  the  other  to  partake  in  .  “  as  you  should  .  this  place  is  paradise  ,  but  that  would  top  it  all  off  .  ”  just  the  thought  merely  gets  him  excited  as  he  matches  christian’s  actions  ,  throwing  his  head  back  ,  allowing  the  contents  to  just  spill  in  ,  “  speaking  of  topping  things  ..  random  people  here  and  there  to  keep  me  entertained  .  nothing  serious  ,  ”  takes  a  quick  swipe  at  his  mouth  with  his  arm  ,  since  it’s  all  about  presentation  ,  attention  fully  focusing  on  his  companion  now  ,  “  what  about  you  ,  huh  ?  ”

there  was  something  about  him  that  made  céline  unable  to  stop  smiling  brightly. with  his  brown  hair  and  eyes  ,  he  was  like  the  sun.  she  didn’t  know  if  it  was  his  personality  ,  the  one  she  barely  knew  ,  or  simply  his  presence  ,  but  it  made  her  want  to  burn  —  to  stoke  the  giddy  feeling  inside  her.  head  bopped  slowly  at  his  answer  ,  stray  hairs  escaping  her  high  ponytail  ,  framing  her  features.  “  a  dealbreaker  ?  i  guess  this  is  where  we  part  ways.  ”  eyes  rolled  at  her  comment  before  giving  him  the  answer,  “  cookie  dough  ice  cream  or  any  flavor  of  italian  gelato,  but  never  mint  flavored.  ”  a  soft  laugh  escaped  from  lipstick  stained  lips  before  nodding  her  head  towards  him  :  awaiting  the  answer.

entire  atmosphere  has  been  playing  to  his  advantage  ,  he  thinks  ,  from  the  blazing  sun  to  the  utmost  interesting  of  individuals  .  always  finds  himself  intertwined  in  conversations  that  have  no  business  revolving  around  him  ,  yet  witnessing  the  plethora  of  drunk  guests  serves  as  all  the  entertainment  to  an  already  bustling  shift  .  this  ,  however  ,  feels  oddly  different  for  reasons  that  aren’t  explainable  .  at  least  not  yet  .  remains  attentive  through  the  entirety  of  the  woman’s  words  ,  taking  moments  to  truly  appreciate  her  features  ,  “  well  ,  there’s  not  many  times  someone  has  me  at  the  edge  of  my  seat  ,  ”  stops  ,  mostly  for  poorly  -  timed  dramatic  effect  ,  smile  instantly  revealing  dimpled  cheeks  ,  “  but  you  immediately  had  me  at  excluding  mint  .  so  ,  congratulations  ,  some  shots  on  the  house  .  ”

being in the middle of all chaos and drama was something christian wasn’t unfamiliar with. there were plenty of people who liked to meddle in his business and there was a side to him that liked to give into sudden impulses of self-destruction. it wasn’t a pretty thing. it wasn’t a rare thing either. “ i had a blackout a few nights ago, so you know i’m taking it slow and steady now ,” he admitted shamelessly. “ then one more won’t hurt, will it? ” christian threw a challenging look in the others direction and gestured him to pour two for them. “ there’s not enough hot sisters in here to get through summer for the two of us, my dude. ”

isn’t  completely  thrown  off  by  the  other’s  confession  since  he’s  been  there  himself  ,  more  times  than  willing  to  admit  .  smile  can’t  help  but  reveal  itself  after  christian  speaks  ,  reassuring  kayson  that  his  life  isn’t  relatively  as  bad  ,  though  entertaining  .  “  yikes  ,  well  ,  you’re  still  alive  so  i’d  say  that  it  was  a  pretty  good  night  ,  ”  head  nods  in  approval  as  he  follows  commands  ,  an  almost  devilish  smile  as  he  gathers  necessary  items  for  their  drinks  ,  “  but  totally  ,  slow  and  steady  .  just  don’t  pass  out  on  me  ,  man  .  ”  words  are  immediately  met  with  a  string  of  giggles  ,  already  pouring  contents  into  the  small  glasses  ,  eyes  peering  from  his  hands  back  to  him  ,  “  okay  ,  you’re  right  .  unfortunate  ,  but  hopefully  one  of  us  can  get  enough  for  both  .  ”

“ think picking them unwisely would be a tad bit more entertaining for everyone. but if you’re the yoda, i’m listening to you, “ christian just nodded. the male received the other’s performance with no expectations at all. he knew all that was kayson and what he could surprise the other with. at least someone in this place had something going on for them. chris pushed his friends shoulder with a hurt expression on his face. “ can’t fucking believe you blanked on my last name, “ he shook his head in disappointment. “ i’m so upset i need to find some titties to cry on. “

finds  the  conversation  so  easy  considering  their  prior  history  ,  immediately  finding  himself  flocking  to  semblance  of  friendship  .  convinced  that’s  the  only  way  to  truly  survive  here  ,  especially  based  on  what  he’s  seen  so  far  .  “  oh  ,  for  sure  ,  everyone  loves  a  shit  show  ..  well  watching  ,  being  in  it  is  a  completely  different  story  .  ”  dramatically  fames  pain  at  the  other’s  attack  ,  only  to  be  met  with  the  brightest  of  smiles  ,  “  to  be  fair  ,  i’m  throwing  back  shots  every  other  five  minutes  .  don’t  blame  me  ,  ”  tries  his  honest  best  to  reassure  his  companion  ,  or  desperately  trying  to  lack  his  very  ,  very  short  -  term  memory  .  “  do  better  and  invite  me  ,  preferably  with  their  sister  .  ”
