Hey what was the show called I would love to watch it??
Strip the City. You can watch it here. Palais Garnier is at 33:10.
So I initially reblogged this because it’s so hard to find photos/footage of the Palais Garnier’s underground “lake,” but seriously….watch that whole episode. They’re rebuilding pillars in underground quarries to prevent the city from collapsing and they’re doing it by hand.
THEY’RE BUILDING SUPPORTS TO HOLD UP PARIS, BY HAND.
you can watch the paris episode on fandango at home but you have to buy it for $2
