“Uh, sure. Okay.” There was a part of Laurel that wanted to interrogate the younger girl. Try to find out what was going on and why she felt the need to hide it from her aunt. Plus, it felt strange adding another secret from Mer. The older woman hated it. Smiling softly though, she took off her leather jacket and held it out for her. “If you want to wear it and feel more comfortable around me, I’m okay with it. You do look incredible, Ken. Would you like to sit and have a drink? I don’t talk with you nearly as much as I would like to. I need to work on that, I’m sorry.”
Kennedy let out a sigh when the girl offered her her jacket, nodding her head. “Thank you,” she said softly, taking the jacket and slipping it on, keeping her arms crossed over her chest. “Uh, thanks,” she felt awkward, sitting at the bar next to Laurel. This woman was friends with her aunt, and the last thing she wanted was for Meredith to find out what she was up to.
