I’m somewhere between a softie and…whatever the exact opposite of a softie is. If you figure out what term that would be, let me know. I knew you’d be a perfect fit for it. Maybe a hard ass is the opposite of a softie, but I’m going to have to figure out just the right word to describe it. Thank you, sir. I am pretty proud, but even prouder of the girls. It’s like seeing me out there, minus the ones that are forced to be there. They’ll get it eventually though. Maybe, but without you I probably would’ve been to iffy after all that stuff with my knee and everything that happened afterwards.

I swear, I might be an actual hurricane on heels, that or a total klutz with no sense of poise whatsoever. I was wearing heels at an open mic night and fell face first into some random girl in the audience. Luckily for me, she didn’t seem too angry. Hey now, I didn’t say you were heartless...just not a softie. You are correct, especially if we’re going back to Degrassi, a school for complainers. Yes, actually! And I’m so glad that I did, the tan lines are nothing compared to the look on the girls faces when they make a goal- or block one. Oh, we are… a thing? I guess that’s what you’d call it. I’d definitely call it a relationship though. We’re pretty serious. I am happy, very happy. Exactly! And my parents were definitely the type to… fuss, pretty much over everything. I still love them, we just need some time apart. Do you get along with your parents?

Same thing, sorry. I didn’t...nevermind. I wasn’t trying to insult the relationship though, it’s just an odd sight, but again, as long as you’re happy. That’s good. I guess that’s what happens when you’re around someone for so long, who aim to control you even if it’s mostly for your own good- to an extent. And I love my mom, she’s a sweetheart. Dad, not so much but I don’t hate him or anything. He’s just not around much.

Not to pick on anyone, (though I won’t feel guilty if somebody feels called out) but this weather is perfect for getting work done. Hot as hell? Sure. Humid sometimes? Definitely. But nothing inspires me to get things done like working in the heat. It makes getting back in the air conditioning all the more rewarding. So everyone that’s complaining about the weather – you don’t get any of my sympathy. You’re all just looking for a reason to whine.

You were never one to feel guilty over most things, though lets be real. However, I’ll have you know I’ve been out there in this lovely heat everyday. Maybe not so much as you, but I have the awkward tan lines to prove it; and I only whine a little bit.

Wow! I spent all day planting flowers by the window sill in my new apartment. It’s a small place, but so cozy and warm. Owen’s been unpacking, since I can barely lift a five pound weight. I’m so thankful to be able to have my own place. I don’t know how many seniors can say they’ve got their own apartment, but I know I’m absolutely the luckiest girl in the world. My parents are furious, but they were already upset in the first place. It’s just… better to be out of the house. Things haven’t been the same since Luke went off to jail, there was no sense in trying to fix things.

That sounds awesome. Though, I heard through the grapevine that you and Owen were a thing...I just never thought I’d see that. But hey, whatever makes you happy. On the other hand, an apartment seems nice. No parents to make a fuss over everything.

Just have to believe in yourself, and remember you have people cheering you on. Your writing skills are superb, trust me. You better, even if you just wanna hang out, Maya is going to eventually kick me out of her hair. I’m actually really excited, I wonder just how different it is than high school. Nervous, yes, but way more excited. They are, actually! Except for when the boys come around, I have to snap them back into game phase. It’s kind of cute.
