You? Punch me? Please. You punching me would just just as much damage as a cotton ball being thrown at my face. Well maybe if you weren’t such a cliche I wouldn’t have to point it out all the time. Other people have real problems and you’re complaining about bed sheets and room service.

First of all, I said the hotel wasn't terrible, so you can relax with the attitude. If I'm a cliche, then what are you? The type of guy who just goes around pressing girl's buttons for the hell of it? Like, what's your damage?

God forbid the sheets aren’t satin. Typical of you to complain about something as trivial as the material of the bed sheets or not being able to order room service. Princess isn’t used to not being served, huh?

Do you think Simpson will let me home early if I happen to accidentally punch you? I swear you must have some kind of alarm system that activates whenever I'm around. You just love annoying me and pointing out the fact that I'm spoiled and privileged. Keep going, I doubt you have anything original this time.

The rooms for this trip aren't half bad. It's certainly not satin bedding, but it'll do for a weekend away. I'm kind of pissed Simpson won't let us order room service, though.

It's the fourth day of your internship and you are sitting in on a session with permission from the patient. The patient begins to break down about how hard life has been since her mom passed away.

Tori had never had a chance to sit in on a patient’s meeting before, but she was curious. She had only been to a therapist a few times, and that didn’t go over too well. She was prescribed pills and told that she had a hard time dealing with her mother’s loss. It wasn’t like she gained any new knowledge from it or anything. Crossing her legs, Tori scribbled on the notepad her mentor had given her and waited for the patient to answer the mentor’s last question. “What is it you’ve been struggling with? Maybe if I could trace these feelings to a particular event, it could help.” Tori looked up at the patient, she was a bit older than her, but seemed to be visibly quite upset. “My mom just passed away from cancer a few weeks ago. It’s been hell. I don’t know what to do with myself.” Tears started falling from her eyes and Tori’s mentor handed the girl a box of tissues. Tori froze. She thought about her own mother and could barely move in her seat. “Tori, are you writing this down?” Her mentor asked softly, just low enough so the patient wouldn’t be disturbed. Nodding, Tori wrote down some notes, but her mind was elsewhere. She thought back to how it felt losing her mom. She wanted to cry, but this wasn’t about her. She had to stay strong. “Loss can be one of the most painful human experiences.” Tori’s mentor confirmed, jotting something down on their notepad. “But we have to handle it one day at a time. We can’t rush the healing process. We can’t expect to feel better overnight.” Tori glanced at her mentor, unsure of what to do. She let his words sink in and wanted nothing more but to leave. The girl just wanted to go home and cry into her pillow. “Tori, do you have any thoughts?” Her mentor asked, looking at the girl. Shaking her head, the girl stood up, smiling politely. “I… have to go. I don’t feel very well. Could you um- sign my paper for today, please?” Holding her packet in front of her mentor, they signed it quickly and exhaled. “Well, feel better, Tori.”

It's the third day of your internship and you hear someone telling your mentor that the girl you saw crying is in the hospital.

"Has Katie arrived yet?" Hearing her name in this context was still so strange. Straightening up in her seat, Tori continued doing busy work, her mentor and the receptionist chatting. Katie was the girl Tori had talked to the day before. She was one of the patients that came in more often than not. It was strange that she wasn't here already. The receptionist's tone changed drastically, causing Tori to peek up from her papers. "Her mother called to cancel a half hour ago. Katie is in the hospital for self harm." The receptionist had been whispering, but Tori heard every word. Swallowing, she pretended she was oblivious to the conversation. She had just talked to this girl yesterday, and she had tried to take her own life? This didn't make sense. Tori felt a sense of guilt. Maybe she should have said more. Maybe recommending the girl a facial treatment wasn't good enough. "Move my next appointment, I'm going to give her mother a call." Tori's mentor explained, before heading towards Tori. "Tori, could you please straighten up the waiting room? I need to make an important phone call." Tori nodded, heading off to the waiting room. As she was straightening the magazines, she saw the magazine she had given to the girl to read yesterday. Her heart sunk in her chest as she picked it up, placing it on top of the pile of magazines.

It's the second day of your internship, you walk passed a teenager sitting in one of the chairs in the hallway crying.

Working in a psychologist’s office was strange. Tori ran into a lot of unique characters there, but for some reason, the girl she ran into today completely broke her heart. The girl was crying full force, her shirt already tear stained. Tori knew it wasn’t her place to say anything, but she couldn’t just walk by and pretend she had never seen her in the first place. “You know, I pretty much cried my eyes out on my first day working here. My boss totally hates me.” Sitting down beside the girl, Tori pressed her lips together before offering her a genuine smile. “But hey, look at the bright side, you get to leave in thirty minutes, an hour tops.” The girl looked up, cracking a smile and even giggling softly at Tori’s remark. “I’m sorry, I’m a mess. I’ve been going through a lot lately.” The girl sniffled, wiping at her tears. Tori reached over to the coffee table that was set up in the waiting area and picked up a magazine. She handed it to the girl and smiled softly. “I read that article about how to get super glowy skin at lunch yesterday. Tried it last night. It totally works.” Standing up from her seat, Tori looked at the girl again and felt her heart pounding in her chest. She saw herself in that girl, it was hard to turn away. “I have to get back to work, but it was nice meeting you, um-” She started, waiting for the girl to say her name. “Katie, the doctor is ready to see you.” The receptionist interrupted. “Oh, sorry, I have to go!” The girl got up from her seat, smiling at Tori.

Where did they set you up? I mean that has to be a pretty impressive record to already have pissed them off within the first day. Then again, I’m not sure what the coach thinks about me, so hey we could be in the same boat.

A psychologist's office, talk about big time fun. I'm sure you won them over with your charm. Me on the other hand? I got scolded for screwing up paperwork, or losing it, same difference.

I mean I didn’t really do that much there at the party. But I’m glad I went too. I don’t mind the whole career week actually. My internship thing is pretty cool. I ended up with Graphic Design.

You didn't dance or have something to drink? I mean, that's really all I did, but I thought it looked wicked with all the neon colors. That totally sounds like something you'd like. I'm stuck working with a psychologist. It's like totally serious in the office and I hate it.

My internship isn’t half bad, I’m learning some pretty cool things about baseball. I just wish certain people would learn to mind their business. Only problem is Vince says this is running into his time. Not sure how I’m gonna be able to do both. So where did everyone else end up?
