My opinions on the Alex Gaskarth thing

Okay so I think we’ve gotten too sensitive to people saying “All Lives Matter” because like…understandably, in most situations, it’s gross. But I feel like there is a huge difference between just being like “All Lives Matter” and being like “This black lives matter stuff is stupid! All lives matter!” and Alex wasn’t saying black lives matter is stupid, he was saying all lives matter because a lot of different people who are not black are also in danger because of this Baltimore situation??? Idek man.

People kind of attacked him for it and worded things in a way in which ANYONE would get slightly defensive…and like yeah maybe he should’ve apologized because he didn’t realize the wording he chose was poor but also EVERYONE ATTACKED HIM. 

So I dunno, I guess there are two ways to look at it. My point is saying “All lives matter” is not inherently offensive or bad or erasing anyone, it is when it is used against “black lives matter” or a similar statement that it is an issue. If that makes any sense at all. Like I just feel like it sucks that we have gotten to a point where saying “all lives matter” as a separate statement from the “black lives matter” stuff makes everyone upset. Because it’s like, yeah! All lives DO matter! Sometimes we forget that! But it’s also important as a society to focus on the people who get killed for no reason at alarmingly higher rates so like black lives matter is also VERY important and all lives matter should NEVER be used in response because it’s gross and idk

All Lives Matter is inherently deflecting and erasing. It should be obvious why. The template used to create the phrase "All Lives Matter" was "Black Lives Matter". It's a response to it IN ITSELF. It doesn't matter what the context is. All Lives Matter was never a seperate statement, so let's stop pretending like its some general phrase that people used long before this movement. It was created specifically to target, dismantle, and discredit Black Lives Matter. So saying "All Lives Matter" in any given time, place, sentence, or subject is doing just that.

I’m going to put this in bold because I think it’s a very important sentence.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with him, at this current weight or his former.

He’s Eli. A human being. So can we stop talking about him like he’s an object that we prefer to be “this size” or “that size”? We as a fandom are constantly making his weight such an issue. No this isn’t Hannah Montanah. This is the life of a man whom wants to study and have a future past U-KISS. You can’t be an idol forever. He’s even said it himself some time ago and everyone should know and understand this. Yes OF COURSE KISSme miss him but not because we are OBLIGATED to. No one is forcing anyone to miss any of the members. People still miss Dongho. Alexander. Kibum. Why? Because we love them. Same goes to AJ but fortunately, he’ll be back with UKISS. You also might not realize this but AJ is in an ///IVY LEAGUE/// school. This isn’t something you just throw out the window. If your own management  allows you to continue school because of the importance of it, you damn well do it.  AJ is LUCKY NH cares enough to let him do this. Most idols are treated like pieces of shit. Not allowed to eat, see family, live at home. Some idols are forced to sleep with 6+ people in one small room. So be grateful that NH isn’t like that. That they care about the boys and not just for profit. And on top of that, no. You cannot be drunk all the time and go to an Ivy League school. He’s partied a few times, so fucking what? Do you not like having fun here and there? Do you think UKISS doesn’t drink? I’m confused as to why you’re so bothered by that. And how DARE you take his tweet about heart surgery so personally? What makes you think AJ even HAD to tell ANYONE he had surgery? When I had surgery for a tumor, I didn’t even allow ANY of my friends to come see me. I didn’t tell a lot of them until after surgery. You need to realize that big surgeries aren’t light subjects. Anyone is lucky AJ cared enough to publicly say he was okay after. And when you have a big surgery like that, a lot of times you don’t tell people ahead of time because you don’t want to feel like a burden. You don’t want people to worry. To treat you like you’re weak and fragile. This is from personal experience. This is from knowing others who have gone through serious surgeries, too. It’s none of our damn business as to why he didn’t say more about it. Be grateful he even did. At least we know he is okay and THAT is what is important. AJ has never been big on social media anyway. He rarely tweets selcas. Even when he’s with UKISS. He’s not one to constantly update like Kevin. That’s just who he is and though we would love to see more of him, we have no right to speak ill of him for it. You’re misinformed. He’s not in school to study law. He’s in school to study psychology along with Japanese language and whatever the hell else one would have to take. He’s said it a million times. So have the others. Pay attention.  And last but not least, did you HONESTLY miss the song he wrote for KISSme / AnJels? It’s called, “I miss you so much”. He gave it to us as a  GIFT on his 8 year anniversary since his debut. He didn’t make any money from it. The comeback is supposed to be later this month and the drama starts filming in December, so by then their promotions might be winding down. What I'm thinking is they're probably not going to have a Japanese comeback right after their Korean one like they usually do. That'll probably get pushed back until filming ends.
