Oooooh my god
when heâs so so big over you and inside you trying to coax you into relaxing for him; saying âitâs ok, sweetheart, youâre doing so well for me, you can take itâ and he kisses you as he slides himself all the way home inside you(swearing youâre so tight around him he can feel your heartbeat) so that your little hiccup is swallowed by his mouth and then he pulls back to admire the sight of you stretched around him to coo; âsee? thereâs my pretty angel. look how good you look full of me.â
Now I gotta say, I'm not a big fan of that fancy boat your friends brought along, so... before they show up, how about I give you a little taste of that endless agony?
you can never escape a weird little freak that loves you

CHAPTER 6 - Special Kinda Foreplay
Here's Chapter 6 of EVENT HORIZON! The smut now comes in full force haha. (also on Ao3.) The other parts can be found here.
I'm going to make an updated post at some stage about some backstory, cause I'd originally written this as an OC, which means the reader has a history that will be revealed over the course of the story. But it might be helpful to know the decisions I made about time and canon, and both Higgs and the readers representations, for example, this is set before DS1 and before Higgs has his gold mask.
I don't have a taglist for this, but if you'd like to be tagged please let me know!

Special Kinda Foreplay
You thought the bunker you were delivering to was supposed to be empty. You were right. However it wasn't empty right now and you've never rolled your eyes harder than when you saw who emerged from inside.
WARNINGS - explicit sexual content, swearing, rough sex, play fighting, mutual mild violence as foreplay, mentions of previous injury
âOh for fuckâs sake.â You rolled your eyes and sighed in frustration. âWhat are you doing here?â
Even though being a porter was only your cover, and you didnât make many deliveries to this bunker, you thought youâd remembered that it had been abandoned. When the delivery request came through you assumed that maybe the occupancy database just hadnât been updated yet.Â
Your assumption was proved correct when you arrived at the bunker, finding its terminal completely offline.Â
What you hadnât anticipated was why you were sent there. And you certainly werenât excepting to find the bunker door hiss open and an obnoxious asshole to step outside and greet you.
âNo hello for a new friend? Iâm shocked, thought ya were more polite than that.â Higgs strolled out of the empty bunker, a grin on his face so wide that it made you want to slap it off him. He wasnât wearing the black half-mask he usually wore, although he never did in your presence, not once youâd seen his face for the first time. He also wasnât wearing his body armour, simply his cargo shirt and pants. He was dressed very casually. Too casually. You rolled your eyes as you realised this, of course that asshole was prepared for what he was hoping would happen.
âI thought I remembered this bunker being abandoned. Guess I was right. You fake an order somehow just to get me here?â
âSure did darlinâ. I was a bit bored, so I thought to myself âŠâ He mimed placing his hand on his chin, being lost in deep thought. â⊠why not trick my favourite friend-with-benefits into cominâ to see me.â
âIâm your favourite friend-with-benefits?â You were sarcastically implying if he was even capable of handling more than one.
âYa donât think someone like me would have more than one? Think youâll find imma real catch.â
âI actually donât think you would have more than one. You donât seem like the type to let people into ⊠whatever this shit is that you have going on.â You gestured at him, motioning up and down, implying that you was referring to his lifestyle and bullshit attitude.
âWould it make ya jealous if I did? The thought of me touchinâ someone other than you?â Higgs leaned against the rusting metal wall of the bunker entryway.Â
âHa! Not in the slightest. Weâve fucked once, donât let it big your ego up anymore than it already is. Itâs already at bursting point. Now, youâll have to excuse me, but I have actual important shit to do.â This was true, you did have other delivers to make in the area to help further cement your cover story.
You turned around to leave but only made it a few steps away from the bunker before you were stopped by Higgs appearing a few meters in front of you, having chiral jumped when your back was turned.Â
âYa really gonna leave? Iâd really hoped we might have some fun.â
âI can see that. Sorry to disappoint. Actually ⊠no, Iâm not.â You kept walking, turning slightly to walk around Higgs but he side stepped in front of you, blocking your path, a huge smug grin on his face.
âSeriously? You really gonna stop me from leaving?â
âThatâs the plan sweetheart.â
âYou really that desperate to be fucked right now?â
âBy you, any day of the goddamn week. Dreamt about ya anâ woke up this morninâ rememberinâ the fun we had the other day. Tried to deal with it myself but âŠâ Higgs gyrated his hips over-enthusiastically, knowing it would annoy you. â⊠wasnât the same as how if felt to be inside you. Nothinâ comes close to that darlinâ.â
âWow. Well. One, Iâm flattered. Two, Iâm afraid youâll have to make do by yourself today.â You attempted to pass Higgs again but he side-stepped in front of you once more.
âDonât pretend ya donât want me too.â
âOnly in your dreams. Now move or be moved.â You knew your threats would fall on deaf ears.Â
Higgs maintained eye contact with you, leaning in towards you slightly. âYouâre lyinâ to yourself. I know ya think of me when ya touch yourself. Youâre standing here now, just dyinâ for me to make you scream my name.â Â
âWrong. Last warning, move.â
âI can hear it now âŠâ Higgs sarcastically impersonated you calling his name, mockingly thrusting his hips violently back and forth as he did. âHiggs! Oh âŠ. fuck, Higgs!â
Immensely content with his performance, he looked back meet your gaze, grinning from ear to ear. His grin didnât last long though as he was not met with your usual annoyed gaze like he was expecting. He was instead met with a fist colliding firmly with his jaw.Â
You punched Higgs squarely across the jaw, causing him lose his balance to stumble to the side, cupping his face.Â
âI warned you.â You turned and continued to walk away, only making it a few steps before Higgs jumped in front of you again, this time standing so close to you that your bodies were touching. He had gripped your jaw and was now holding it so that your face was forced to look up at him. He was beginning to breathe heavily.Â
âNice shot darlinâ. Startinâ to think that this is our special kinda foreplay. You and me, fightinâ before fuckinâ. You pretendinâ ya ainât got time for this by startinâ a fight, and me, a freak whoâll take violent touch over gentle any day. Match made in heaven, baby.â
âYou really gonna stop me from leaving?â
âThink Iâve made that clear by now darlinâ. Question is, ya gonna continue our foreplay? Ya gonna fight me?â
You smiled and moved quickly, bringing your knee up to strike Higgs in the groin, hard. âFan of violent touch there too?â
Higgs released his grasp on you and hunched over, cradling his manhood as it throbbed in pain. After regaining the breath that had been knocked out of him, he stood. âItâs better than nothinâ darlinâ. Hell âŠâ He cupped his bulge, the pain still coursing through the area. â⊠you makinâ me throb for two reasons now sweetheart.â
You removed your cargo backpack and placed it on the ground next to you. You stood a few meters apart in silence, staring at each other. It was a standoff, neither knowing what to do or wanting to be the first one to move. If this were a Western, a tumbleweed would have blown past you. You stood like this for a minute, both of your chests beginning to heave slightly. Hell, there was no going back now, the seeds were planted.
You winked at Higgs and turned suddenly, running toward the nearby crop of trees. Behind you, Higgs grinned widely and chiral jumped. He allowed you to move a few meters away, reaching the tree line before he jumped in front of you and swung a punch down towards your abdomen. It made contact. You grunted and hunched over slightly, clutching your stomach, but at the same time lunched forward and threw a punch in return. It didnât connect with his body, but that wasnât the intention.
âHa! Missed me! Try âŠâ Higgs stumbled and fell onto the ground, landing on his back. Heâd tripped over a tree stump that he hadnât seen was behind him, just as you had hoped. You took this opportunity throw yourself at him, unsheathing the dagger from the cargo belt on your waist as you did.Â
You fell onto the ground on top of him, holding the blade to his throat, smiling playfully. âI never miss.â You winked.
Higgs chest was heaving as you lay on top of him, and he could feel his now firm erection pushing against your leg through his cargo pants. He wanted this so badly, wanted you. He looked down towards the blade before looking back at you. His heart fluttered. âDo it.â
You looked at him questioningly.Â
âMark me. Do it.â Higgs gripped the top of his shirt and moved it down slightly, exposing the area just under his collarbone.Â
You gently pressed the blade onto Higgsâ chest, just under his collarbone, firmly, but not enough to break the skin. You met Higgsâ gaze, seeking confirmation. He looked like heâd just won the lottery, which was all that you needed to see. You pressed the blade down against his skin, enough to draw blood but not enough to cause any permanent damage. Higgs released a guttural moan and arched his back, pushing his erection into your thigh as you sat straddling his waist. The moan he made sounded like it had been trapped inside him for a century. After youâd made a shallow wound a few centimetres long, you removed the dagger from his skin and threw it to the ground next to him. Higgs was now basically panting in anticipation underneath you. You reached forward and attempted to cup his face in your hands but you were stopped by him grabbing both of your wrists firmly.Â
âNope, no face touchinâ sweetheart. Oh ..â Higgs looked at one of your wrists, there was a mark, a wound that looked like it had been caused by a handcuff. â⊠and whereâd ya get this? Two timinâ me darlinâ?â
You remained silent for a moment, long enough that Higgs realised he may have misspoken. You didnât know how to reply to this. The cause of the mark was from a handcuff, but the situation wasnât sexy or flirtatious, in fact, it was the polar opposite. You donât want to think about it, and you also didnât want Higgs to know. Higgs could sense that his comment had caused you to remember something that youâd tried to forget. Before you could reply, he jumped in, changing the subject, trying to re-lighten the mood. âForget it sweetheart. And donât worry, I ainât the jealous type, only cause I know they canât beat the pleasure I give ya.â
Higgs then chiral jumped you both, pinning you against a nearby tree with his full weight, your hands held above your head by one of his. He reached his other hand down and grabbed the zip on your jumpsuit, pulling it down as far as it would go. He slid his hand inside and made his way down to your underwear, slipping his fingers underneath them. Your breath hitched as Higgs stared at you, eyes blown wide with desire, relishing in the arousal he could feel had formed between your legs. He had a very smug look on his face, one that slightly pissed you off. You knew his smug ass was about to let you know he was right.Â
âTold ya you enjoyed this. Lair.â He winked at you as he gently ran his finger over your clit, causing you to let a moan escape from your throat.
âNever said ⊠I didnât enjoy it.â You ground your hips forward against his touch.Â
âJust like playinâ hard to get huh?â
âNah, just enjoy watching you be so desperate to get it from me.â You leant forward and licked the small line of blood that had formed on the cut youâd made on Higgsâ chest. He let out a guttural moan, deep, a moan of lust mixed with the perverse pleasure of feeling you lick the wound youâd just given him.
âOh darlinâ, told ya weâre a match made in heaven ⊠or, maybe ⊠hell.â Higgs smirked as he removed his hand from between your legs and grabbed the shoulders of your jumpsuit, helping you shimmy out if it so it was around your ankles. He maintained his grip on your wrists, preventing you from reaching down and touching him. He then used his free hand to undo his fly, slightly shimming his cargo pants down, and then freeing himself, his erection finally being free from the painful pressure of pushing against his pants. He gazed at you, watching the reaction on your face as he lined himself up with your entrance. He loved the way your face looked when you were anticipating him entering you. That little anticipatory gasp you made? It was delicious. He winked as he pushed inside you, bottoming out in one hard, fluid movement.Â
You moaned and arched your back as he bottomed out inside you. âFuck!âÂ
Higgs breath hitched as he felt you contract around him, your walls throbbing in response to his presence. He began grinding his hips into you, pressing your back harder against the tree which he held you firmly against. âFuck ⊠ya take me so well darlinâ. Your bodyâs made for me to be inside ya.â
With his free hand he lifted one of your legs up, holding it up around his waist, maintaining his pace as he thrusted into you. You moaned at the way this position forced him deeper inside you, hitting your deepest spots with each thrust. âFuck ⊠Higgs!â
Higgs grinned smugly. âAh there it is. Seems my impersonation was spot on. Music to my fuckinâ ears baby.â He continued to thrust into you over and over, causing moans and curses to escape from both of you. You could feel the sharp bark and tree knots as they dug into your back, Higgsâ violent thrusts causing the bark to scratch you skin. You didnât care one bit.
He leant forward to press his forehead against yours, your hot breaths mixing between you as they continued to move as one, meeting Higgsâ thrusts with the same returning force.
Higgs could tell that you were both getting close, and in pure Higgs fashion, he decided to be evil.
âBe honest now âŠâ He spoke in between ragged breaths. âYou wanted this ⊠when ya saw me in the doorway ⊠it made ya drip didnât it? Knowing what I wanted from ya?â
âHa ⊠Iâd never admit that.â
âOh ⊠I think ya will.â Higgs pulled himself almost completely out of you, only his tip remaining inside you. He felt your body clench against nothing, searching for that pressure which was now gone.Â
âHiggs what the fuck?â You groaned in displeasure.Â
âAdmit it.â It was taking all of Higgsâ self-control not to continue what heâd started. However, making sure that you knew he was right was much more important.Â
âNever.â You writhed beneath him, your back still against the tree and your arms still held above your head. âPlease Higgs goddamn it!â
âSee ⊠I know ya body wants this, that I can tell.â It was taking all his effort to avoid just pushing back into you, his own orgasm threatening to be released. âBut I need to hear it ⊠need to hear ya admit it.â
You stared at him, your body craving him, but you didnât want to give him the satisfaction. Higgs slowly inserted himself again before slowly pulling back out, grinning as he watched you squirm even more.
âFuck! Shit! Okay ⊠yeah, I wanted it when I saw you.â
âWanted what baby?â
âHiggs come on! Fuck! You ⊠this ⊠I was hoping this would happen.â
âGood girl, thatâs what I wanted to hear.â
Higgs thrusted into you again with force, and began grinding into you again, your combined movements becoming sloppy as you both reached your limit.
âFuck!â You arched your back as you finally reached yours, your orgasm ripping through you, causing your body to tremble. Your body tensed against the tree.
Higgs then followed, spurred on by the knowledge that he had caused you to feel like this, he did this to you. All him. His body tensed as he felt himself spill into you, surrounding him with your combined warmth. You both stayed like this for a few moments as you both attempted to regain your composure.Â
Higgs slowly pulled out of you as he released the grip on your wrists. You let your arms fall down beside you before rolling your shoulders to release the ache of holding them there so long. You leant down to pull your jumpsuit back up. âWell, thanks for that. Asshole.â
âOh youâre very welcome darlinâ, any time.â Higgs pulled his pants back ups, adjusting himself as he did up his fly. âJust call me anâ Iâll be there.â
âYou implying that youâd be ready to fuck me at literally any time?â
âSure am darlinâ, canât get enough of ya. Once I had a taste? Hell, youâre my new favourite food. Well ⊠actually maybe second, after pizza. So anytime ya want some of this? Just call.â
âOh I wonât be making a habit of this, trust me. Youâre a total pain in the ass.â You began to walk back towards where youâd left your backpack.Â
Higgs laughed mockingly, following you and placing his arm around your shoulder as you walked. âWell now, I donât believe that for a second. Donât think you really believe it either.â
You chuckled. âWeâll see, Iâm gonna avoid you like the plague. So ⊠not gonna give you an opportunity.â
âThatâs what ya said last time. Iâm gonna thoroughly enjoy makinâ that reealll hard for ya sweetheart.â He removed his arm and skipped a few steps in front of you, turning to face you as he walked backwards. âJust like ya make this real hard.â He glanced down towards his bulge before looking back at you, winking. âTil next time darlinâ.â He blew you a kiss and then disappeared, a small cloud of chiral dust falling where heâd once stood.
You walked the rest of the way to your cargo backpack and put it on. Higgs annoyed the shit out of you, he was arrogant, obnoxious. His stupid permanently smug face drove you insane, in more than one way, but you didnât want to admit that, especially to him. You began the long walk back to the distribution centre, a small smile crossing your face as you did.

CHAPTER 5 - The Empty Pizza Box
Here's Chapter 5 of Event Horizon! Prepare yourself for some well-earned smut ;)
(also on Ao3 here).
The Empty Pizza Box
An unexpected guest turns up at your bunker with an apparent apology.
WARNINGS - explicit sexual content, swearing, threats of violence, guns (not used), restraints, rough sex
It had been a cold day, lying out on a hill on the wet grass, so you were relieved that the heating in your bunker worked. Youâd just arrived home and began changing out of your fake porters jumpsuit. You ran your fingers over the company label sewn into the chest as you removed it, feeling the bumpy threads of the embroidery as you did. âBridgesâ. Thinking about your so-called âemployersâ made you want to throw up.
You left the jumpsuit on the floor in a pile and removed the armour plates youâd worn under it today, something youâd been very happy with as it had protected you from a stray bullet. You finished changing, now wearing just your underwear and an oversized band t-shirt, a relic from before the death stranding.
Before you could decide what it was you wanted to do to unwind, you heard the telltale warning âbeepâ of the bunkerâs motion detector. This happened occasionally, usually just a porter or an animal walking too close to the sensor ring. You walked over and sat at the terminal on your desk and brought up the video feed of the bunker entryway.Â
You had mixed feelings about what you saw.Â
âFor fuckâs sakeâ. You threw your head back to face the ceiling and sighed. Why was he here. How was he here? You considered ignoring him however something inside you stirred, some sort of feeling akin to hunger. You mumbled to yourself as you stood and walked over towards the bunker exit, grabbing an assault rifle from the shelf on the way. You kept a few weapons around the place, some hidden, and some in plain view. There was never anyone but you in here anyway, and if they were stupid enough to come in without permission, theyâd be seeing the pointy end of a weapon anyway.
You walked up the stairs and the bunker door hissed open. You stepped into the open doorway, aiming the assault rifle at the man standing next to the terminal. He was smiling widely and holding a pizza box.Â
âOooh yours is much bigger. I come in peace. Donât shoot.â It was Higgs. He raised his free hand in front of him with an âIâm unarmedâ gesture.Â
âThe fuck are you doing here? Thought you said Iâd never see you again after the other day.â
âI thought youâd be happy to see me.â He feigned disappointment, although deep down he actually slightly was. âCome on now, ya didnât really think I meant that did ya? You think Iâd let someone as fun as you go willingly?â
You didnât respond but the expression on your face told Higgs what he needed to know.
âOh ya did think that. Well look darlinâ thatâs my bad. This was supposed to be a peace offerinâ âŠâ He pointed at the pizza box. â⊠but I guess it can also be an apology offerinâ? Thatâs all I want, to apologise for beinâ an asshole to ya.â
You chucked. âIs that so?â As always, you knew he had an ulterior motive, you just didnât know what yet.
âThatâs right darlinâ, ainât no lie. Scouts honour anâ all that.â He winked at you as you continued to point the assault rifle at him. He pointed at the rifle. âThat really necessary? I told ya I come in peace. Personally Iâd rather keep the peace than end up in pieces.â
âI just thought that I should show you the same level of hospitality that you were kind enough to show me last time. Iâd absolutely hate to be bad host.â
Higgs grinned, enjoying this little sarcastic banter that you had both developed. âI completely understand my darlinâ. So ⊠are ya going to invite me in? Itâs good ân fresh.â He gestured at the pizza.Â
You sighed. âYouâre lucky Iâm hungry.â You lowered the assault rifle and gestured towards the bunker door, where you remained standing. You were hungry, but not for pizza â for something that you was furious at yourself for wanting.
âYay!â Higgs exclaimed over-enthusiastically and heavily sarcastically as he skipped towards you. As he reached the doorway to the bunker where you were standing, you put out your hand, pressing against the opposite side of the doorway, blocking his path.Â
âOh, almost forgot.â You moved your hand from behind your back, where you had been holding a pair of handcuffs. âJust to be safe.â
Higgs looked simultaneously surprised but also highly entertained. âDarlinâ, Iâm so glad youâre starting to learn what I like. Ya just wanna see me in handcuffs donâtcha?â
âSurely you canât expect an innocent olâ porter like me to let a known killer into my bunker without some sort of protection?â You sarcastically mimicked the statement heâd made when you had visited his bunker last time. Higgs found enormous enjoyment in this, grinning from ear to ear.Â
âToucheâ.â With a wink, he held out his hands, one hand still holding the pizza box. You cuffed his hands in front of him before stepping back, gesturing for him to enter the bunker.Â
______
You walked behind Higgs as he entered the main room and put the assault rifle back on the shelf on your way past. You had a feeling that it wouldnât be necessary, and even if it was, you werenât sure youâd be able to do much about it anyway. You werenât even 100% sure that he couldnât just chiral jump out of the handcuffs youâd put on him. You figured he probably could, which made you wonder why heâd let you put them on in the first place. Why was he humouring you?
Upon entering the room, Higgs took no time to place the pizza down on the nearest surface and start walking around the room, commenting on what he saw.Â
âOh my, itâs just how I pictured it. Slightly cluttered, mostly dull, practical. What use are decorations am I right?â He turned around to wink at you before resuming his self-guided tour of the room. He peeked into the small bathroom and inhaled deeply. âMmmhmm, peppermint? Lavender maybe? Vanilla? Ya definitely donât seem vanilla to me.â He emphasised his double meaning of the word vanilla. He then walked over to the second room, which you were using as a bedroom. âAnd this is where the magic happens I assume.âÂ
Higgs turned back around to find you sitting at a desk on the opposite side of the room, gesturing for him to sit on the couch. He did, resting his cuffed hands in his lap. âYou have a lovely home, truly.â He sat back, relaxed, crossing his legs. Higgs was being sarcastic and you could clearly tell, but you didnât really care, you expected nothing less. âOh âŠâ He gestured at the band t-shirt she was wearing. âGhost! Gotta say Iâm a fan of âem myself. Love me a good mask.â
You rolled your eyes. You picked up a pistol that was the next one to be cleaned and began to disassemble it. There was a moment of silence, you were tired of his bullshit and decided to simply let him get to the point.
Higgs let out an over-enthusiastic sigh. âSo ⊠just you that lives here?â
âYeah.â You didnât look at him, you continued to take apart the pistol.Â
âSo thereâs no âMister Pretty Pizza Delivery Girl Who Also Happens To Be A Deadly Assassinâ?â
You placed the gun down on the desk and turned to face Higgs, rolling your eyes at him again, wondering if they would eventually roll out of your head due to you having to do it so much. âIf youâre trying to ask if Iâm single? I am. Why? You offering?â He now had your full attention.Â
Higgs let out a laugh as he winked at you. âHa ha maybe, if youâd have me. Ya must be awful lonely. I mean ya live by yourself anâ work all by yourself? Got no pets, no partner. Itâs gotta get lonely right? I mean, I would know.â He looked at you, anticipating a response, a polite question in return. It didnât come. He smirked sarcastically. âDarlin' just so ya know, a friendly, hospitable response would have been to ask if I was also single.â
âOh youâre giving out hospitality lessons now? Sure, my deepest apologies.â You mockingly cleared your throat. âHiggs, is there a âMissus Obnoxious Psychopath Stalker Assholeâ?â
Higgs grinned and feigned surprise. âWhy thank you for askinâ, thatâs so considerate of you. What a thoughtful question. Iâm afraid there isnât, never has been really. âFraid Iâm a difficult man to tie down.â
âNot that difficult.â You smirked and pointed to Higgsâ restrained hands sarcastically.Â
âOnly cause I let ya do it sweetheart. Not everyday I let myself be willingly tied up, ya should feel honoured.â
âOh Iâm flattered, even though I assume you can simply disappear and reappear without them?â You stood and walked over to a cupboard on the wall opposite where Higgs was sitting and started rummaging through it.
âSweetheart, Iâd be outta these cuffs in an instant if I wasnât thoroughly enjoinâ the fact that ya put âem on me. But ya knew that already didnâtcha?âÂ
âI had a hunch.â You continued to rummage through the cupboard before pulling out the polishing cloth you were looking for.Â
Higgs leant forward, leaning his elbows on his knees. âWell then, that begs the question, if ya knew they wouldnât hold me if I truly meant to harm ya, whyâdya still invite me in?â
âMaybe I was expecting that you would break out of them and overpower me, just to prove that you could ⊠and to also prove thatâs why youâre really here.âÂ
You watched as Higgs grinned, and then did exactly that, disappearing into thin air. He appeared behind you, wrapping his arms around you firmly, one around your waist, the other around your neck, hand gripping your throat with gentle pressure. The polishing cloth you were holding slowly fell to the floor. He pulled you back against him, bringing his arousal to your attention as it pressed against you.Â
âLike that?â He pressed his body hard against yours, speaking directly into your ear. His hot breath against your skin gave you goosebumps.Â
âYeah, exactly like that.â Your breath caught in your throat. You wriggled your body slightly, feigning resistance, causing his grip on your throat to tighten. âThere was never a pizza in that box was there, asshole?â
âThere was once, not for some time though.â He chiral jumped again, this time moving you with him, reappearing as he pressed you against the bunker wall with his full weight. He was gripping your jaw, angling your face so that you were looking up at him. âThis what ya were expecting when ya invited me in?â
You smiled. âIs this what you were expecting when you came over here? Did you wish this would happen? Cause something âŠâ You slightly shifted your hips forward to feel his ever-growing arousal pressed against you. â⊠makes me think you were definitely anticipating this.â Â
âMhhhmm maybe.â He wriggled his hips against yours in return, making sure you felt all of him, how ready he was, for you. âBut, Iâm more curious to know why you really let me in?â
âI already told you, I was hungry.â You smirked at him provocatively.Â
âFor what?â Higgs raised an eyebrow.
âYou.âÂ
Higgs grinned briefly before pulling your face towards him, your mouths meeting. He slid his tongue into your mouth, his tongue fighting yours, yours returning fire. Your kisses were sloppy, desperate, rushed, teeth clashing as your mouths met. You placed your hands against his chest, gripping his t-shirt in your fingers.Â
Higgs slipped his hand down between your bodies to playfully flick the band of your underwear, before sliding his hand down underneath. Your breath hitched as Higgs slowly let two of his long fingers slide down between your folds, feeling the wetness that had gathered there.Â
Higgs amusement in discovering this made him smile, breaking the kiss. He looked you in the eyes as he grinned, obviously finding great amusement in your arousal. âMmm, looks like someone was also hopinâ this would happen.â He winked mockingly, taking great pleasure in the fact that your arousal was his doing, that he could trigger this response within you. âNow, tell me âŠâ He slowly withdrew his fingers from between your folds and brought them up to his mouth, placing them inside, sucking gently. He let out a small shudder of arousal. â⊠when ya let me inside, hopinâ Iâd break free of my cuffs, what were ya hoping Iâd do to ya?âÂ
You took a ragged breath, breaths becoming shallow as your heart rate increased. You leant forward to whisper in Higgsâ ear. âI was hoping youâd fuck me ⊠hard.â
Higgs was not expecting this honest response but he welcomed it wholeheartedly. He released the grip on your chin and used both hands to grab your waist, turning you around to face the wall. You placed both of your hands on the wall, palms flat. Higgs gripped the top of your underwear and pulled them down. You stepped out of them and kicked them away. As Higgs reached down to free his already firm erection from his cargo pants, he leant forward to speak directly into your ear. âIâd hate to be an inconsiderate guest.â
Your body trembled in anticipation as you parted your legs slightly, while Higgs placed one hand on your waist and lined himself up to your entrance with the other. After inserting himself just enough, he gripped your waist with both hands and then pulled you down onto his length, hard. You gasped as you arched your back, pressing your hips back further against his. âFuck!âÂ
Higgs let out a deep moan as you both stood still for a moment, relishing in the sensation of him being bottomed out inside you, your walls pulsing around him. The spectacular sensation of his him filing you was short lived however as he pulled back almost entirely, before slamming your hips down onto his again. âFuck, Higgs!â
âThis what ya wanted?â He slowly pulled out of you and slammed you back down again and again. It was forceful but slightly too slow for your liking, a fact that Higgs knew. He was doing it intentionally to taunt you.
âYes ⊠harder, faster.â You mumbled though an exhale, your breathing becoming more ragged.Â
Higgs released one hand from your waist and brought it up to wrap around your neck, gripping your jaw and pulling your head back towards him. He could feel your heart rate as it pulsed through the veins on your neck. He whispered in your ear mockingly. âWhatâs the magic word?â Higgs once more pulled back and slammed your hips down, holding you there until you replied.Â
âGoddamn it Higgs! Fuck ⊠please. Please.â
âGood girl.â He released your jaw and placed both hands back on your waist, gripping the top of your hips as he began to set a furious pace. You moaned as you pressed your palms firmly against the wall, attempting to maintain some sort of stability as Higgs rammed into you from behind. The sounds of your combined wetness and bodies slapping joined the sounds of moans and curses as Higgs set a furious pace, aggressively slamming into you again and again.Â
âThis why ya âŠfucck ⊠let me inside? So ya could let me inside ⊠you?â
âYou should be honoured.â
âOh darlinâ, I am.â He genuinely was, but in the most smug way possible. You always acted like you were irritated by him, but to let him do this? How annoying could he be? Heâd have to try harder because he loved seeing you flustered.
As he felt himself getting close, Higgs reached forward and grabbed your chin again, pulling you back towards him, his other arm wrapping around your waist. He held you close, supporting your body against his as his thrusts became sloppy. Your hands were no longer able to reach the wall so instead you brought them up to grip the arm that Higgs had wrapped around you, struggling to maintain your balance through the flurry of thrusts.
Higgs rested his chin on your shoulder. âYa want me to come in ya? Want me to fill ya up?
âFuck yes.â Between your struggle to catch your breath and the force of Higgsâ relentless pounding, you barely managed to get the words out.Â
It only took a few brief moments before Higgs tightly wrapped both of his arms around your torso, holding you flush against him, and slammed deeply into you one last time.Â
He held you there as he came, âFuucckkk!â Cursing through ragged breath as he felt his release fill you, engulfing his length in your combined warmth.Â
Your back arched against him as you let out a deep moan, your own orgasm ripping through you as you relished in the sensation of his warmth filling you up. He pounded firmly a few more times, as if to make sure every drop was milked out of him.Â
You both stood for a moment, catching your breath, Higgsâ arms still holding you back against his chest.
âWell shit, Iâdâve come over sooner if I knew ya showed ya guests this kinda hospitalityâ. Regaining some sense of what it was like to breathe, Higgs slowly released you, stumbling slightly as he stepped back away from you. His release of your waist caused you to fall forward, bracing yourself by placing your hands on the wall in front of you once more.Â
âOh, thought you already knew. You hadnât heard from all the other guys I let in here?â You joked. You caught some resemblance of breath and bent down to pick up your discarded underwear.
Higgs smirked and raised an eyebrow inquisitively as he finished pulling up his pants. âAnâ here I was thinkinâ I was special.â He mimed a pout, pretending to be disappointed. âYou let all ya visitors ⊠come inside?â He grinned ear to ear, exceptionally pleased with that little double meaning he had just stumbled across. âAinât ya worried about, you know, poppinâ out some little mini assassins?âÂ
You laughed. âHah, no ⊠no Iâm not.â You legitimately werenât but you didnât want to elaborate right now. âAlso ⊠I only invite in the guys that bring over an apology pizza, or pretend to at least. Speaking of which âŠâ You walked over towards the bathroom. â⊠where is that apology?â
Higgs half-sat against the desk where you had been disassembling your pistol. He picked a part of the pistol up, observing it closely. âAh right the apology. Fake as the pizza Iâm afraid.â
âWell thatâs not really a surprise. I expected nothing less from you.â Exiting the bathroom, you walked over and snatched the pistol segment from Higgsâ grasp. âBut seeing that you are here under false pretences, Iâm afraid I have to ask you to leave.â
âAlready? No sleepover? No sharinâ scary stories or gossipinâ about boys we like?â
âAre there many boys you like?â You smirked as you looked at him playfully.Â
âA few, in the past, but at the moment thereâs a girl I like, but sheâs playinâ hard to get.â Higgs gazed at you, his bright blue eyes twinkling deeply.Â
âMaybe she just doesnât like you back.â You both knew exactly what you were really talking about.
âWell hell, if this is how she treats people she doesnât like, I canât even imagine how she treats the people she does.â
âAnd youâre never gonna find that out. Now get out.â You grabbed Higgsâ arm gently but firmly and pulled him off the table, walking him towards the door. Even though he could easily have stopped you from doing this, he allowed it.Â
You lead him out the door to the stairwell, slightly shoving him towards the stairs as you let go of his arm.Â
Higgs turned to face you. âTechnically darlinâ, Iâm not here under false pretences am I? Cause you anâ I both know exactly why I came here, and exactly why ya nvited me in. As much as youâd like to deny it.â He winked at you and smirked smugly.Â
âWho said I was denying it?â You walked back to the door to the main room and leant against the doorframe. âIâll make sure to also let you in next time I need a quick fuck.â
Higgs laughed. âOh darlinâ I knew I liked ya for a reason.âÂ
You did a âshooâ gesture towards him, gesturing towards the stairs leading up and out of the bunker.Â
âSee ya later alligator.â He winked at you and blew you a kiss.Â
âFuck off crocodile.â You smiled and turned, returning to the bunker, closing the door behind you. You heard Higgs laugh as the external door to the bunker hissed open, and then close shortly after.Â

The Fake Client
Youâre on the way to a job when the âclientâ turns up to assist. Why canât he just leave you alone?Â
SFW - 18+ MDNI - word count - 5,129
WARNINGS - swearing, violence injury detail, death detail, knife violence, gun violence, blood and gore, sexual references
Leaves rustled underfoot as you walked. You were on the way to a job, a location marked on your map by your âemployersâ, the details sparingly given, just the bare necessities.Â
Your legs were beginning to ache, so you decided to stop at the next shelter you found. It luckily didnât take long for you to come across a small cave.Â
You entered the cave and removed your backpack, carefully placing it on the ground and leaning it against the cave wall. You reached up and stretched, your muscles aching and your joints clicking as you tried to relieve them. Even though you didnât carry heavy cargo, you still carried quite a bit of equipment. You felt your back crunch as you reached up, stretching out your spine, you winced slightly, hoping that when you lowered your arms, you wouldnât have pulled a muscle. You hadnât, but little did you know, you were soon about to end up with a reason to have a massive headache.Â
You had some time to spare so you thought that maybe you should rest, however this thought was cut short when you felt a presence. You froze, ready to act, flight or fight kicking in instantly. You heard a voice from the cave entrance. A man walked into view. An obnoxious asshole of a man. Goddamn it, why the fuck was he here?Â
âTold ya weâd meet again darlinâ. Howâs the leg? Oh ⊠and the neck?â Higgs walked into view, slowly stepping into the cave with precise steps, his hands behind his back.Â
âOh for fuckâs sake Peter.â You rolled your eyes and sighed in frustration.Â
âHiggs.â He didnât yell it, but there was serious, harsh tone in his voice. He despised the sound of that name, the name he never wanted to hear again.Â
âWhat are you doing here?â You sighed in frustration and slumped down against the wall onto the floor next to your backpack.Â
âSay my name.â He needed to hear you say it, unable to move on until it was rectified.Â
âOkay ⊠Higgs, jesus. What are you doing here?âÂ
âCame to make sure I hadnât maimed ya too bad.â Higgs opened his arms in a gesture that signified that he was expecting a hug. There was no way he was getting one. He leant against the cave wall opposite you, arms crossed over his chest and ankles crossed over one another.Â
âBullshit. You following me now for some reason? Didnât get enough from me last time?â
âDarlinâ I got nothinâ from ya last time. You kept ya mouth shut reealll tight. Anâ while Iâm still hopinâ I can make ya talk somehow, I thought it might be better to try a different tactic.â He tapped his modified cuff-link and brought up a document, enlarging it for you to see. It was on the letterhead of the company you worked for. A name was signed underneath â his, but also not his â a fake name, neither of the ones you knew him as.Â
You threw your head back in defeat and sighed in frustration. âYouâre the client?âÂ
âBingo! Point to my pretty pizza assassin.â He wiggled his hips side to side jovially as he spoke.
âGoddamn it.â You muttered this to yourself, not really caring if he heard you or not. You reached into your backpack and grabbed your canteen, taking a swig.Â
âSo ⊠letâs go! Chop chop ⊠ha ha, literally chop chop maybe.â Higgs laughed as he realised the little joke heâd made. âLetâs go get our kill on!â He said this in a sing-song sort of way and wiggled his body in a way that slightly imitated dancing. âLetâs kill someboddyyy. Well, three somebodyâs actually.âÂ
You laughed falsely and mockingly as you returned the canteen to your bag. âWow. You really think Iâm gonna let you come with me? Actually watch me work? You must be mad.â
âOh come on now darlinâ donât be like that.â He pouted mockingly, weighing deep disappointment. âI thought we had a great time bondinâ the other night. I consider you to be a dear friend.âÂ
You laughed sarcastically. âHah ha. A friend? Iâd love to see how you treat your enemies.â
âYouâll get to if ya donât let me come with you.â He winked but a flash of sincerity crossed his face before it disappeared into a large grin. âSo letâs go!âÂ
You sighed and stood, picking up your cargo backpack and slinging it over your shoulders. You began walking out of the cave silently. There was no way you could prevent this from happening. God, he was insufferable. You had no idea why he was so interested in you, but you wished he wasnât. At least, you thought you did.
âYay! Letâs gooo!â Higgs over-enthusiastically and sarcastically ran up to walk beside you, putting his arm around your shoulder. âGotta love killinâ some assholes with ma best friend.âÂ
You shrugged him off you and stopped walking, turning to look at him. âDonât fucking touch me, unless you wanna be my next target.â You turned around and kept walking.Â
âYa know, the more ya keep sayinâ that, the more desperate I am to see ya try it.â There was an eagerness in his voice, a hunger.Â
âOh good, that can be arranged.â Â
You both continued to walk in the direction of the job you were about to undertake. Youâd hoped that Higgs would stop being an annoying asshole for the duration of the journey, unfortunately however that was not the case.Â
âSo ⊠how ya gonna do it? Rifle again?â Higgs skipped alongside you like a needy child, desperate for your attention. He was desperate to piss you off.Â
You didnât respond, simply rolling your eyes and shaking your head as you continued to walk.Â
âI mean a sniper rifle is efficient I guess, but itâs soooo boring! Hasnât got the same punch as a blade. What about poisoninâ?â
You ignored him. Why they hell he was doing this was beyond you. Was he that desperate for attention? He seemed incredibly unlikable, so you assume thatâs why he had to force your attention out of you.Â
âWell?â Higgs waited for a response, intentionally wanting to irritate you. He loved seeing the little flashes of irritation cross your face. The way the vein above your eyebrow twitched? Beautiful.Â
âOh you were expecting an actual answer to that?â
âOf course darlinâ, I didnât come here to talk to myself now did I?âÂ
âYou could have, Iâm still not really sure why you are here.âÂ
Higgs intentionally didnât reply, obnoxiously wanting an answer to his question. He loved seeing you riled up. He continued to play with you, an attempt to mask his true throughs â he himself also didnât really know why he was here. He didnât want to unpack that right now.Â
âOh for fuckâs sake. Seriously? Okay.â You stopped waking and turned to face at him, he smiled and nodded mockingly, anticipatory. âFine. I wonât know what Iâll use until weâre there and I can assess the situation. I tend to go with the least dangerous option though.â
âHmmm, so not poison then. Got poison darts? Somethinâ thatâll really sting?â
âNo.â It was like talking to a child.Â
âThatâs unfortunate. If ya ever plan on killinâ me, please make sure itâs excitinâ, otherwise ya can be damn well sure Iâll haunt ya. Sniper rifle wonât cut it with me, I wanna see your eyes while ya kill me.â Higgs winked at you playfully, but for some reason you knew he was being serious.
âIâll keep that in mind.â You turned away and began walking again, hoping that this was the end of his yapping. You were wrong once again.
âDid ya know that the Ancient Egyptianâs usedâta preserve their dead bodies anâ that the process could sometimes take 70 days?â
You continued walking but turned to him in bewilderment. Where the hell did he pull that from? Was he a goddamn encyclopaedia? You made eye contact with him briefly and rolled your eyes in disbelief, sighing loudly for him to hear.Â
âThey mummified their dead, thinkinâ that it meant the soul of the person had a body to come back to if they wanted. So their soul wasnât just wanderinâ for entirety, lost with nowhere to return home to.â
You threw your head back in frustration as you walked. âYouâre making me wish I was dead right now.â
âOuch darlin'. Just tryinâ to entertain ya while we walk to where weâll be causinâ some deaths.â
âYou wonât be causing shit.â
âWeâll see âbout that sweetheart.â

When you were a few hundred meters from your destination, you stopped suddenly, causing Higgs to stop in his tracks as well. You turned to face him.
âWhatâs your goal here?â You spoke firmly, quizzically.
âWhatâcha mean darlin?âÂ
You rolled your eyes at the pet name. Man he pissed you off. âWhy are you here doing this? With me? Watching me do my job and shit?â
âYou intrigue me. Also ⊠Iâm in the market.â Higgs had a cheeky grin on his face.Â
âIn the market for what, someone to fuck with?â
âFuck with ⊠no.â He winked at you as he very subtly swayed his hips from side to side suggestively, making sure you noticed.
âCharming.â You sighed. Getting a straight answer from him was like drawing blood from a stone.Â
âAlways am darlinâ, youâll get used to it.â He started to pace slightly, walking in a little circle. "That would usually be what Iâm interested in, nine times outta ten, however, itâd cause come potential problems with the ⊠department of human resources. Cause what I really need, is employees.â
âEmployees? You want me to work for you?â You decided to ignore the blatant sexual comment which you knew he clearly added to rile you up. You had no intention of letting him know he was succeeding in doing so, the fire within you slowly crackling.Â
âWell not until I see what ya can do sweetheart. Ya might be useless. Anâ even though Iâve seen some evidence to the contrary, I dunno âtil I see it with my own two baby blues.â
âSo ⊠you used an alias to set up this contract, a contract to kill three random dudes I assume? All so you could watch me work? How did you do that anyway? Actually ⊠I donât care. You did all this after having held me at gunpoint, tranq-ed me, stabbed me and held me captive?âÂ
âWe did have fun didnât we. I do love me some good knife-play. Ya put up a very good fight.â He winked at you as he finished pacing, returning to stand still in front of you, towering over you. âLike I said, you intrigue me.â
âGood, Iâm glad. Go fuck yourself. Youâre not watching me work.â You stared daggers up at him. This was the first time you actually paid attention to how much taller he was than you, his tall frame imposing over you by almost a whole head height.Â
Higgs lunged forward, gripping your throat firmly, his thumb pressing up under the soft part of your jaw. At the same time, you gripped the dagger that you had concealed in your jumpsuit pocket, angling it towards him so that he could feel the tip pressing against his abdomen, just under the edge of the bulletproof vest he wore. You were glad youâd concealed it this entire time, just in case. Higgs looked down, still holding your throat, to see the protrusion of the dagger pressed against him. He looked back up at you, meeting your gaze, a mixture of shock and excitement in his eyes. Man you really were something, his intrigue in you swelling with each interaction you shared.Â
âOoooh darlinâ! Violence.â He mimed a shiver of anticipation coursing through him. âYa really know the way to my heart, which ⊠â He leant in close, completely disregarding the threat of the dagger, and whispered in your ear. â⊠also happens to be the same way to get into my pants.â He leant back and winked at you, miming a kiss.Â
You held your position. âGood to know, glad I finally know what your love language is. Now tell me âŠâ you thrusted the dagger slightly firmer against his body, but not enough to do any damage. â⊠what happens now? Cause I could easily stab you before you choke me out. And as much as Iâm sure weâd both love to see that happen, I got shit to do. All work and no play, anâ all that. You know what itâs like.â
âDarlinâ ya keep teasing me like this anâ weâll have to skip the work anâ go straight to the play.â Higgs thrusted his hips slightly, putting even more pressure on the dagger, which he clearly wasnât threatened by. He had a feeling you wouldnât stab him, but if you did? Well heâd thoroughly enjoy it.Â
You faked a chuckle and smiled, while at the same time, slicing a small slit into the front of Higgsâ shirt. âTry again ⊠âdarlinââ.â You mocked the way Higgs always said the word âdarlingâ, copying his goddamn annoying, alluring Southern-drawl.
Higgs smiled widely. âOkay sweetheart, Iâll make ya a deal. You lemme watch ya kill the sorry sacks of shit on this here contract âŠâ He gestured to his cuff-link. â⊠and Iâll leave ya alone. You won hun. I wonât tryân scout ya for my crew. Iâll just leave ya to your killinâ. Just gimme one last moment of enjoyment in your presence before ya never see me again. Deal?â
You got the sense that he was lying but at this point there was no way you could stop him from just following you to the job anyway. At least if he was with you then you could keep him under some sort of control. Maybe.Â
âFine.â You lowered the dagger and turned away from him. âJust keep your mouth shut. Get us caught and Iâll shut it for you ⊠permanently.â
You turned and continued walking towards your target location. âWhat are you anyway?âÂ
âWhadya mean?â Higgs skipped to catch up, walking alongside you.
âWell you want me to work for you but I donât even know what you do.â Why did you even care? You never wanted to see him again, right?Â
âIâll tell you mine when ya tell me yours sweetheart.âÂ
âWell technically you know what I am, cause here you are. But I donât know a thing about you, except that youâre some psycho whoâd let someone they know is an assassin into their home, and then try to coerce information out of that person. Only a lunatic does something like that.â
âWell that ainât quite accurate darlinâ, I let a woman I know wants to fuck me into my home, so itâs different. Ya just also happen to be an assassin.âÂ
You stopped in your tracks and turned to face Higgs, a mixture of shock and anger on your face. âExcuse me? I must have misheard you. Say that again?â
âYou wanna fuck me.â Higgs winked as he leant in close to your face.
âRight, thatâs what I thought I heard. What in the hell gives you that impression?â You were mad, partially because he had the nerve to say that, but also partially because he was right.Â
âLetâs just say Iâm ⊠perceptive. Also, youâre always drawinâ weapons on me ⊠sooo considerate to my love language.â Higgs gazed at you like he could see right through you to the truth.
âNot a good enough answer asshole. I recon you just think so highly of yourself that you assume anyone wants to fuck you.â
âNot true actually, only really interested in people who try to kill me, but yet still allow me to stick around anyway. Like you do. Intriguinâ contradiction that is.â
âOkay, so because I am letting you be here with me right now, you assume I want to fuck you? You didnât really give me much choice but to allow you to come along.â
âSweetheart I can see it in your eyes. You want this. You want me close. And ya always have a choice, yet you chose my presence over the silence I assume ya despise.â
âI sure did choose that, and boy do I regret it. You keep telling yourself whatever it is you need to get through the day. But for now, kindly shut the fuck up.â
Higgs smiled and mimed zipping his lips as you both turned to continue to the targets location. He could tell from your anger that heâd hit a nerve, and he was loving it.Â
đ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êż
You arrived at a hill a few hundred meters away from a small bunker. You gently placed your cargo backpack on the ground and knelt down to rummage around inside of it, before pulling out a pair of binoculars. You looked through them, examining the bunker in the distance. It was a standard size, old, and there were several small metal structures surrounding it. You noted that they looked very roughly built and probably leaked when it rained.Â
âSo, who are these guys? You just pick some unlucky bunker from the residential directory? Or do you know them?â You maintained your view through the binoculars, not looking at Higgs when you spoke to him.
âDoes it matter? Iâm surprised ya care.â Higgs had knelt down next to you.
âI donât. Was just curious thatâs all.â
âYa think Iâd pick a bunker full of random people for ya to kill?â
âUh yeah, you seem like you would just pick some innocent people.â
âNo oneâs truly innocent sweetheart.â The tone in which Higgs said this caused you to lower the binoculars briefly and turn to look at him. There was an emotion on his face that youâd not seen there yet, he was dead serious. There was no trace of the usual sarcasm or mock happiness that you had a feeling he used as a mask. âNot me, not you, not anyone in this godforsaken world.â
âOkay, sure. Shit, forget I said anything.â You didnât know what else to say to that so you turned back around to look through the binoculars. You was slightly taken aback by his tone. Even when he was threatening you he didnât sound as serious as that. You changed the topic.
âThe first time you saw me, at the MULE camp, how did you see me from that far away? You seemed to look right at me.â
âYa made me tingle. Knew straight away there was an intriguing connection there. I sensed ya cause ya sent an electric shock off through me baby.â
You turned to him before punching him in the arm, hard. âThat was a serious question.â
Higgs grunted, smiling as he did. He loved pushing your buttons. âI am beinâ serious. Ya made me tingle. I get a tinglinâ sensation when Iâm around other people with DOOMs. For some reason I was just able to pinpoint exactly where ya were cause of it.â
âI ⊠donât have DOOMs though.â You didnât manage to make that sound like a confident answer.Â
âThat so?â Higgs raised an eyebrow curiously. He didnât believe that for a second.Â
âYeah. But Iâm glad thatâs what happened, sorta. I didnât think I could normally be seen from that far way, made me worry. Iâm glad it was just some weird shit thatâs specific just to you.â
âHmm. Well then, guess the tingle was just cause of our instant electric connection then huh? That makes it much more excitinâ.âÂ
âNot really. You didnât make me tingle.âÂ
There were a few moments of silence. You let the binoculars hang around your neck as you turned to disconnect a couple of cargo containers from your backpack. Higgs had sat down on the grass next to you cross-legged, so close that his knees were touching yours.
âMay I?â Higgs gestured to the binoculars, obviously wanting to use them to look at the scene in the distance as well, or ⊠just piss you off. You suspected maybe it was the later. Before you could finish unhooking the strap from around your neck, Higgs reached across and grabbed them, bringing them up to his face, dragging you with him.Â
âHiggs goddamn it.â You spluttered out, slightly choked by the strain of the binocular strap still around your neck. You gripped your fingers around the strap, creating a little space in between it and your skin so that you could breath.
You heard Higgs chuckle. âTold ya I liked chokinâ didnât I? Whatâdidya expect? Better get used to it.â He continued to look though the binoculars. You pulled against him, leaning on his arm slightly so that you could continue to breathe without the strap digging into your neck.
Higgs suddenly let go of the binoculars, dropping them, causing you to lose your balance slightly and crumple against his arm even more.Â
âBring your own next time asshole.â You straightened yourself up, rubbing your throat where the strap had dug in slightly.
âNext time huh?â Higgs grinned ear to ear, like heâd just discovered some hidden truth.
âGod I hate you.â You rolled your eyes at him.
âYet Iâm here with you, so âŠâ Higgs shrugged at you mockingly. He then reached around to his cargo belt and pulled out a pair of binoculars, making sure that you saw him holding them. He grinned widely as you simply rolled your eyes at him again. He loved getting this response from you.
You opened a couple of cargo containers, each disguised on the outside to appear normal, but inside contained various parts of a disassembled sniper rifle. You started to attach the pieces together.Â
âOooh how we doinâ it? Rifle? Aww not a knife? Poison? Arrow maybe?â Higgs watched you intently like an eager student learning from his teacher. It wasnât a lesson however, as Higgs was much more adept in weapons of mass destruction than you knew.
âYou take too much enjoyment in this.âÂ
âAnd you donât take enough. Think about it. Youâre killinâ someone, snuffinâ their flame out. Doinâ something thatâs so risky in this day anâ age cause of void-outs and BTâs. The last true freedom, choosinâ to take someoneâs life.â
âIâm not choosing.â You paused slightly when you spoke, his words having hit you hard.Â
âNo?â There was a sense of enjoyment in Higgsâ tone, he was going to love making you realise you were wrong, and that he was right about you.
âNo.â You were starting to get irritated, not at Higgs, even though he was driving you insane, but at yourself. You resented your job for reasons you didnât like to think about.Â
âWrong. You lie there with ya finger on the trigger and you choose to pull it. You choose to snuff that light out ân risk a void-out right in front of ya. You have a choice.â
âTrust me ⊠I donât.â If you had a choice, you wouldnât pull it.
âHmmm. Care to elaborate on that hun?â
âNot really. Now shut up.â You lay down, partially lying atop the rifle you just finished assembling.Â
Higgs lay down next to you on the grassy hill and pulled out his binoculars. You lay ready, bracing the sniper rifle against you, merging it and yourself into one deadly weapon.Â
You lay together in silence, the warm breeze blowing on your faces as you watched a man exit the bunker, a man who was about to be dead. He walked around behind the bunker, disappearing from your sight.Â
When the man had first entered your view, you heard Higgs take a sharp inhale of breath, almost as if he was in pain. You couldnât turn around to look at him as you needed to maintain your focus on your target.Â
âWhat?â
âNothinâ.â It wasnât nothing but he wasnât elaborating.
A few moments later, the man re-entered your line of sight, and you took in a deep breath, holding it there, as you pulled the trigger of the silenced sniper rifle. Through the binoculars, Higgs watched as a red stream of blood erupted from the mansâ leg. You had shot him directly in the centre of his left shinbone. He fell to the ground screaming, clutching his leg in agony.Â
âYou missed.â
âNo actually, I didnât.â You kept your breathing steady as you watched the scene unfold before you.
A second man exited to bunker to investigate the source of the screaming. As soon as he leant down to help the man on the ground, a cloud of blood erupted from the fatal bullet wound that you had just gifted to the back of his skull. The first man, still on the ground screaming, screamed louder, the second mansâ body falling on top of him. A few seconds passed.Â
âThereâs three of them.â There was a sense of desperation and concern in Higgsâ voice. You briefly wondered why he cared so much.Â
âI know.âÂ
A few more seconds passed.Â
âFuck. Maybe heâs not there.â Higgs was becoming more and more agitated.Â
âHe is. Iâve got thermal.â You tapped your fingernail on the sniper rifle to tell Higgs what you meant. You were using the rifleâs thermal imaging to see the third mansâ heat signature. He was inside the bunker. âHe probably sent the other guy out instead, just in case it was dangerous. Weâll have to wait. Heâs gotta come out eventually.â
âNope,â Higgs said impatiently. You heard a rustle of movement next to you, still unable to turn and look at Higgs, not wanting to lose your focus. âNot good enough.â
There was a slightly noise and flash, like a quiet jolt of lightning. And then silence. A suspicious silence. It turns out that you didnât have to remove your gaze from the scene in front of you to find out what the suspicious noise had been, because in a flash, Higgs appeared in your scope. This did cause you to back your eye away from the scope and look to your left to see the lack of Higgs laying next to you. Shocked and confused you looked back through the scope to see Higgs, standing over the first man, the one you had shot in the leg.Â
You watched as Higgs unsheathed a dagger from his cargo belt and leant over the man. You saw his mouth move but you couldnât make out what he was saying. You then watched as Higgs slit the mans throat, blood spurting into the air. Higgs stood over the body for a moment before turning towards the bunker and disappearing inside.
This had taken a turn that you were not expecting. You should have known that Higgs had some ulterior motive, but this? You assumed he just wanted to get in your pants, which he probably still did, but what the hell was happening now? He obviously knew these men somehow, heâd planned this. You didnât know what to do, and you were shocked that your immediate concern was for Higgsâ wellbeing, a sensation which you decided to shove away and not think about cause why the hell would you care about that happens to that asshole? Your next concern was the fact that you had to be the one to complete the contract.Â
Swearing under your breath you quickly disassembled the sniper rifle, not wanting to leave it out in the open unattended, packed it away and put on your backpack before cautiously making your way towards the bunker. As you approached, you opened the cargo container that was attached to your left shoulder, and pulled out two parts of an assault rifle, before clicking them together. You raised the rifle in front of you as you approached the bunker, assessing the condition of the two men outside. Dead. You looked through the bunker entryway to see the bunker door ajar. You made your way down the stairs and inside, assault rifle at the ready.Â
Upon entering the bunker, before you could see what was making the noise, you were greeted by the sounds of screaming and wet squelching. The screaming was getting quieter and quieter as the squelching continued. You braced yourself and quickly turned through the doorway into the main room of the bunker, where you found Higgs. He was kneeling over your third target, bringing the knife down into his chest over and over again, blood spurting into the air with each violent thrust. You reached into your jumpsuit pocket and pulled out a small device, pointing it at the man, the light on the device turning red. Higgs continued to stab the man over and over, grunting from exertion, the occasional mumbled curse word escaping him.Â
âHeâs dead.â You spoke calmly.Â
Higgs continued to stab the man, no longer making a difference to the mansâ mortality. He was well and truly dead but Higgs obviously didnât care.
âHiggs.â You tried to get his attention. âHiggs. Heâs dead.âÂ
Higgs ignored you and continued to drive the knife into the mans torso.
âHiggs! Heâs fucking dead!â
Higgs movements finally stopped as he sunk back onto his knees, looking up at the ceiling. After catching his breath, he stood up, wiped the dagger on his pants, adding to the blood which was already soaking the fabric, and sheathing it away in his belt. He looked exhausted, defeated. He was covered head to toe in blood. He briefly glanced at you before looking away, walking past you and out of the bunker without saying a word.Â
You walked up to the third man, pointed the rifle at his head and pulled the trigger. He was already dead, but you had to come up with some lie about how you had been involved in this manâs demise. Youâd have to think about that later. Soon, but later. You exited the bunker to find Higgs sitting on a rock a few meters away.Â
âWhat the fuck man?â You walked towards him, un-screwing the assault rifle back into two pieces as you walked. âWhat was that shit?â
Higgs stood up. âJust got tired of waitinâ darlinâ.â He winked as he smiled at you, but it was not real and you could tell. The smile had crossed his mouth but hadnât reached his eyes. Higgs could tell that you saw right through him.
âBullshit.â
âYou know me too well my sweet assassin.â He slowly walked over to you. âGuess this is goodbye then huh?â He brought his hand up to gently grip your throat. âOne more choke for olâ times sake?â He leant towards you and licked your face from chin to temple. âSee ya darlinâ.â In a flash of chiral matter, he was gone, leaving you standing in a mess of your combined creation, confused as all hell.

CHAPTER 3 - PRETTY PIZZA ASSASSIN
You were an assassin, a rare job since the apocalyptic turn the world had taken. Human deaths were no longer something that could be ignored, unless you wanted void-outs to continually take out what was left of humanity. Dead bodies had to be disposed of in a timely and proper manner, which is why you were followed by a corpse disposal team, courtesy of the company you âworkedâ for. Â
As a cover, you were a porter. It gave you an excuse to be seen in various areas, reducing any suspicion that people may have had for why you were around. You didnât mind delivering cargo, it was mostly calming and was actually something you would much prefer doing as a job. But then again, youâd take any other job over the one you had been burdened with.
The cargo you delivered was usually small and light, as there was no need to burden you with heavy cargo, seeing that it was just a cover. You delivered a variety of different things to various bunkers and facilities, but your most common delivery was to a bunker out North West of Lake Knot City. Pizza. Every time â pizza. You had delivered pizza to the man named Peter Englert several times, and today was no different. You had never met him in person, only heard this distorted voice through the bunker terminal. He occasionally struck up a conversation with you, more so that other people ever did. He seemed friendly enough, flirty even, and it made you wonder if maybe he was lonely. He seemed lonely. All you knew for sure was that he was crazy about pizza.Â
You assumed that he would strike up a conversation with you today as well when you arrived. You were correct with this assumption, but not in the way you were expecting.Â
You approached the bunker, triggering the motion sensor, which you knew usually meant that the occupant would be ready to interact with you when you got to the terminal. You approached the terminal and confirmed the cargo, but instead of hearing Peter Englertâs husky voice, it was the generic automatic terminal voice greeting you instead. You assumed that maybe he wasnât home, which was odd considering heâd express ordered a piping hot pizza. In reality though, it wasnât your concern, your job was done.Â
Just as the terminal thanked you for your service and told you to âHave a great day!â, the door to the bunker hissed open. You turned back sharply towards the door, slightly taken aback. Youâd never experienced a bunker resident greeting you in person before, seeing that these days, most people tended to prefer to remain isolated.Â
You watched cautiously as someone slowly emerged through the doorway. You assumed it would be the bunkers resident, Peter, and even though he had been nice the few times youâd spoken, you were slightly on edge. Youâd become accustomed to danger in your line of work, and your life in general.Â
A man emerged through the doorway. He was tall and had short dirty blonde hair which whisped over his forehead. He was lanky but you could see that he was strong, the black t-shirt he wore hugging his muscles. That was all you were able to notice, because your attention was immediately draw to what he was holding.Â
A pistol. He wanât aiming it at you directly, simply waving it around as he gestured with his hands as he spoke. An idle threat. He laughed.Â
âI thought I knew ya from somewhere! My pizza girl! Oh wow .. ha ha .. this is just great. I was lookinâ through the monitor, stomach rumblinâ, and then I nearly shit myself when I saw ya standinâ there. What an amazing coincidence! Now Iâm hungry for two things, pizza ⊠and answers.âÂ
You stood still, silent, not moving due to the threat of the pistol which you couldnât confirm was non-lethal. The man looked vaguely familiar to you but you hadnât yet realised where youâd seen him before. Youâd never met Peter so you couldnât confirm if it was him or not, however his voice was somehow familiar to you.
The man chuckled, bringing a hand up to touch his face, winking as he spoke. âOh right, no mask this time. My bad darlin'. Ya get your man at that MULE camp the other day?â
You sighed heavily as she realised who the man was, you hadnât immediately recognised him without his mask on. Shit. âOh youâve gotta be kidding me.â You should have recognised his obnoxious Southern-drawl when he interrupted your job the other day.
âSo, is my pretty pizza assassin here to kill me this time? Cause if she is, she better be kind enough to grant me one final meal before I meet my maker.â There was a cheekiness in his voice but also something darker, a hint of threat.Â
You slowly raised your hands in front of you, gesturing that you are unarmed and ready to comply. You decided to try and get out of this situation before it became volatile, even though you had a sense that he didnât mean you any real harm. You werenât sure why you thought this, it was just something about the way he spoke to you. If he was purely threatening you, he wouldnât be speaking so flirtatiously.
âUm ⊠you seem to have me confused with someone else. Iâm just delivering the pizza.â You tried to put on an act, feigning innocence like you were just an innocent porter and this was just a case of mistaken identity.Â
âOh! Iâm so sorry! Maybe I do have ya confused with someone else, ya must just have one of those faces I guess.â There was evident sarcasm in his voice. He didnât believe you one bit but he thoroughly enjoyed your attempt to deceive him.
âThatâs okay.â You smiled falsely, overtly friendly. âI do have to be going now though.â You turned to leave, a large part of you suspecting that he was not planning on letting you go that easily. You were right.Â
âWhy donât ya come in anâ have some pizza. The journey here must have left ya famished. Canât have ya leavinâ and passing out on the way back to the distroâ centre. Iâd feel terrribblee.â The man was smiling but there was a palpable amount of sarcasm in his voice, mixed with a twinge of threat.
âThanks but Iâve gotta go, lots of deliveries.â You turned to walk away but didnât make it very far.
âAh ah ah, âfraid that wonât be happeninâ sweetheart.â
You turned back to see the pistol now aimed directly at you, the man holding it was no longer smiling. âI must insist ya come in.â There was a darkness in his eyes.
You gulped and sighed, there was no getting out of this any other way. Even though you were perfectly capable of fighting back, heâd shoot you before you got anywhere near close to him. You kept your hands raised in front of you. âOkay, okay, if you insist. Is that really necessary?â You gestured at the pistol.
âDarlinâ surely ya wouldnât expect an innocent olâ prepper like me to let a known killer into their home without some sorta protection?â The way he asked this was overly sarcastic, mocking.
You laughed. âInnocent olâ prepper? Thatâs what you are?â You knew for a fact that he was not. What he was though? You didnât know. Not yet anyway.Â
âDarlinâ Iâll be the one askinâ questions.â He winked and motioned with the gun towards the door, gesturing for you to descend into the bunker.Â
đ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êż
The man led you inside the bunker, following a few steps behind you, the pistol aimed squarely at your back as he led you into the main room. The bunker was small, two rooms and a small bathroom. One room was a sort of living room and the other seemed to be a bedroom, however both rooms were filled with bookcases cluttered with books and documents. You noted that quite a few of the books were about Egyptian mythology. The bunker lacked any organisation at all, it looked like a hurricane had just blown through it. There were empty pizza boxes scattered around the place, clothes on the floor and just general mess on every surface possible. How did he possibly live like this? It was like some sort of insane human nest.
The man placed your cargo backpack on the floor next to the door with a thud, and then gestured with the gun towards the couch, signalling for you to sit down. You looked at him before sighing deeply, rolling your eyes and sitting down onto the couch. The man kept the gun pointed at you as he sat on the edge of the coffee table opposite you, within arms reach. His once serious expression immediately turned into a smile. The contrast between the two expressions was shocking.Â
âWell then! Iâm honoured ya accepted my dinner invitation.â He winked at you, clearly enjoying the fact that he had given you no choice but to accept the invitation, meaning it was not really an invitation at all. You were now a captive, not a welcome guest.Â
You didnât verbally respond but chose to roll your eyes at him instead. He was just as annoying as the last time youâd met him, and you had a feeling it was going to just continue to get worse. It this was Peter, then heâd seemed perfectly friendly when youâd spoken in the past, not like this asshole.Â
âShall we start with introductions? Seeinâ that ya donât seem to have warmed up to my generous hospitality just yet, Iâll start. The nameâs âŠâ
âPeter Englert? I assume? From the previous deliveries Iâve made here.â Your interruption made the man visibly shudder, both due to the rudeness of you interrupting him yet again, just as you had the other day, but also due to the use of that name. He hated that name.
âHiggs, the nameâs Higgs,â he replied frustratedly, slightly flustered. You sensed something, some sort of hidden emotion but you werenât sure what. You let it slide for now.
âHiggs?â You thought for a second. Youâd heard that somewhere before. âLike ⊠the particle?â Â
âExactly! Like the particle. The God particle. Thatâs me.â He winked.
âSo Peterâs a pseudonym?â You had a feeling it wasnât, because while one of those two names seemed like something that a parent would actually name their child, the other sounded like the blog profile name of an angsty teenager.Â
Higgs paused for a second, his thoughts trailing off to a time that name was used. He brushed those thoughts away, and then lied. âYeah you could say that. Canât have any olâ porter turn up anâ find out that Higgs lives here now can we? Not everyoneâs as lucky to be invited into my home as you are sweetheart.â
âYou think youâre that well known that people are dying to show up here to see you? I havenât heard of you. Also ⊠donât call me that.â
âWhat shall I call you then?â Higgs ignored your blatant attempt to insult him.
You paused for a second, considering the consequences of him knowing your real name. You then considered the consequences of giving him a fake name. For some reason, a reason that you didnât yet understand, your real name unconsciously slipped out.
âBeautiful. Lovely to meet ya!â He reached out a hand with the implication that a hand shake would follow. You tentatively reached out to shake his hand but instead of shaking it, he grabbed your hand firmly and used it to pull you towards him. You should have expected this. You now sat on the very edge of the couch, face to face with him, his pistol now pressed firmly up underneath your chin, making sure that the only place you could look was directly into his bright blue eyes.Â
âNow tell me ⊠ya here to kill me this time?âÂ
âConsidering I didnât know who you were PeterâŠâ You were interrupted by Higgs pushing the pistol up under chin slightly firmer, pressing it harder into the soft skin under your jaw. You winced, and took the hint. âOkay ⊠Higgs. For fuckâs sake.â You made sure to emphasise his preferred name. âConsidering I didnât even know who you were, Higgs ⊠no, Iâm not here to kill you. Canât plan to kill someone if you donât even know who they are.â
âSo why are ya here then?â Higgs held his face close to yours, staring daggers at you as he held you close.Â
âYou ordered pizza.â That was the truth, but you knew that it wasnât what Higgs had really meant by that question. You had no desire to give up that information easily. Sharing information about your âjobâ or life could prove to be dangerous for all involved, mostly you.
He sighed and rolled his eyes in frustration. âYeah I know that, I mean why are ya delivering pizza?â
âBecause you ordered it? And Iâm a porter?â You gestured down at your jumpsuits at one of the many âBridgesâ logos. You knew that treating him like an idiot would provoke him, he seemed amusingly easy to piss off.Â
Higgs didnât take this blatant sarcasm well as he lunged forward, pushing you into the back of the couch, straddling your waist, his full weight on your lap. He kept the pistol pressed up under your jaw. It dug into the soft skin under your jawbone, causing you to flinch slightly.Â
âOkay smartass, who by the way, I know is not a porter â hereâs whatâs gonna happen.â He smiled menacingly as he spoke. âYouâre gonna tell me what I wanna know. If ya donât âŠâ He reached down to his waist and unsheathed a dagger from his belt. He replaced the pistol under your chin with the dagger, pressing it to your throat, and moved the pistol down to press against your abdomen instead, â⊠then we get to have a lovely messy time together. Up to you darlinâ.â He leant in to whisper in your ear, âpersonally I prefer things a little messy.âÂ
Before leaning his head back to face you, he licked your face from jaw to temple. As he did, he moaned in a way that made you wonder if he got some sort of perverse pleasure out of it, or if it was just some form of intimidation, emphasising his power over you. You wouldnât be surprised if he did actually enjoy it. He licked his lips as he made eye contact with you once more. âDelicious darlin'. So ⊠whatâs it gonna be?â
âHmm ⊠lemme think.â You tilted your head slightly, looking up to the left, pretending to be in deep thought, before intentionally making eye contact with him again and grinning falsely. âMessy.â
In an instant, you grabbed both of Higgsâ wrists, one holding the dagger and the other holding the pistol, rotating his wrists away from you so that you had a small amount of room to move without being stabbed or shot. You then simultaneously slammed your head forward, head butting him hard in the face, and attempted to stand, hoping that the combination of the two would throw him off balance, reducing his weight on your lap. It most certainly did.Â
âShit!â Higgs fell back onto the coffee table with a grunt before sliding off its edge and onto the floor. The shock of your sudden actions caused him to loosen his grip on the pistol, giving you an opportunity to kick it out of his hand, sending it sliding across the floor to the other side of the room. You made an attempt to make your way over to the door, however, you was still in arms reach of the now very angry man who you had just knocked to the ground.
Higgs grabbed one of your ankles as you attempted to run and jerked you towards him, causing you to fall onto the floor in front of him. As you struggled in his grip, he swung his other hand around and brought it down onto your calf. You screamed in pain. Higgs had still been holding the dagger.
âFuck!â You yelled and turned your body slightly so that you could see the dagger protruding from your calf, and also so that you could see where Higgs was in relation to your foot. You kicked back with all of your strength, your foot colliding sharply with Higgsâ face. You hoped it would leave a nice shoe print bruise.Â
The searing pain caused Higgs to release his grip on your ankle and you managed to stand, grunting in pain, swearing, leaning down to remove the dagger that was embedded in your calf. Removing a sharp object unprepared is not something you would usually do, as it can cause more blood loss, however, in this situation, the dagger may be required. It luckily wasnât embedded too deep.
You cursed and gasped in pain as you pulled out the dagger, once again making your way for the door, not wasting any time wondering what Higgs was up to behind you. You grabbed your cargo backpack and slung one strap over your shoulder, still gripping the dagger tightly just in case.
You managed to make it into the small room with stairs leading up out of the bunker, before you were stopped in your tracks by a furious Higgs chiral jumping to appear in front of you. âYa really know how to party dontâcha?âÂ
Two things then happened simultaneously. You slashed the dagger towards Higgs, connecting with his chest, slicing a small cut in the fabric of his t-shirt and causing a small line of blood to form on his skin. At the same time as you did that, Higgs lunged towards you, gripping your throat tightly with one hand, pulling you towards him, and with his other hand, pressed the barrel of the tranquilliser pistol heâd reacquired against your stomach.Â
He fired it.Â
You both stood silent for a moment, attempting to process what had just occurred, assessing what wounds you may have just acquired. Higgs looked down at his chest to see the minor wound, and you looked down to see the tranquilliser dart that had pierced you through your jumpsuit. You looked back up at Higgs, his blood stained lips from where you had hit him several times, formed into wide grin. âOh dear, looks like it wasnât deep enough to kill me sweetheart.âÂ
Your vision started to fade as Higgs leant in to whisper in your ear. âSweet dreams.â You blacked out.Â
đ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êż
You awoke with a start, sitting up as if ready to attack. You were able to sit but were unfortunately unable to get up fully up. You were tied to a cot, ankle tied with rope to its metal leg. Of course this asshole doesnât even have a proper bed, you thought. You didnât recognise the room as the one you were in before, this must what he considered to be a bedroom. As per the rest of the bunker, this room looked like a bomb had hit it. You tugged your ankle against the rope, testing its strength, which also served as a reminder of the stab wound youâd received, causing a deep, hot, stabbing pain to radiate from your calf. Of course heâd restrained you using your injured leg, asshole. You were only tied to the leg of the bed, meaning you could stand if you tried, but you wouldnât get very far. The way you were restrained meant that you werenât going anywhere, however he had allowed you some room to move. You didnât want to know why.Â
You were so focused on the pain in your leg and also getting free that you failed to fully take in your surroundings. You jumped slightly as a voice spoke out from behind you, having been there the whole time. Â
ââFraid ya wonât be gettinâ outta that sugar. I tie a mean knot.â Higgs was sitting on a chair next to the top of the bed, having sat watching you as youâd slept.Â
You turned to look at him, sitting with your back against the wall, both legs in front of you, hanging off the edge of the cot.
Higgs was smiling, clearly amused at your predicament but his smile was under-toned with malicious intent. âYou really know how to show a man a good time donâtâcha.â He spoke jovially but sarcastically.Â
He stood, moving his chair so that it was right next to the bed, within arms reach of you, before sitting down, grunting in pain slightly as he did. âI mean, ya try to provide some much needed hospitality in this tryinâ time, anâ this is what it gets ya?â He rubbed the red marks on his face that you desperately hoped would turn into bruises. You could see through the slit youâd made in his t-shirt, and that heâd bandaged up the cut youâd given him. Good, the asshole deserved to bleed. âTruly disappointinâ. Now ⊠who do ya work for?â
You sat silent, staring at him, maintaining eye contact. You kept your breath steady, not intending to show him any sign of weakness. Higgs chuckled in amusement and sat back in the chair, crossing his arms and legs, maintaining eye contact with you as well. You both sat in silence for a few minutes.Â
Higgs broke the silence, leaning forward in his chair, elbows on his knees. âYouâre a real stubborn one ainât ya?â
âIs that one of the questions you want me to answer?â
Higgs grinned widely before chiral jumping, instantly reappearing sitting in the same chair, but having pulled you towards him so that you were sat on the edge of the bed, face to face with him, a firm grip on your throat.Â
âAgain with the throat? You got a choking fetish or something?â If Higgs wasnât going to let you go, you were going to make sure to be as annoying as possible.
Higgs chuckled and tightened his grip on your throat. âDarlinâ, Iâm âfraid the role of smartass in this bunker has already been filled. Weâll have to find ya another role. Maybe âŠâ With his spare hand, he reached down and grabbed your wounded leg, bringing it up to rest on his lap. â⊠singer.âÂ
He pressed one of his fingers firmly into the stab wound on your leg, causing you to groan in pain and gasp for a breath. Your breath hitched, but you didnât scream, he didnât deserve that satisfaction. You writhed in pain, trying to move your leg away but unable to really move due to Higgsâ firm grasp on you.Â
After moving his finger around inside your wound for a few seconds, Higgs finally pulled it out. You gasped for breath but remained silent. This bastard didnât deserve the satisfaction of knowing how much heâd hurt you.Â
âWell now, that was very disappointinâ.â He brought the bloody finger up to his mouth and licked it clean. âReally thought youâd sing for me. Have to think of somethinâ else then. Although, I get the feelinâ that ya ainât gonna be telling me anythinâ. So until ya do âŠâ He let go of your leg and opened his arm up wide, gesturing around the room.Â
â⊠welcome to your new home. âFraid youâll find that ya new roommate doesnât take kindly to rudeness.âÂ
You sighed and continued to stare at him. âIn that case, Iâve gotta tell you that if I donât check in with my boss every 12 hours, you can say goodbye to this little bunker of yours.â
âWell now, what a fun cryptic little thing to say.â He over-enthusiastically mimed a shiver of excitement running through his body. âLove it. Threat laced with mystery. Could be true, could be a lie. My betâs on lie though darlinâ.â
âOh well, makes no difference to me what you think. I mean, Iâd be dead either way right?â
Higgs smiled and stood, walking over the doorway, where he stopped and turned back to face you. âSweetheart ⊠I donât plan on killinâ ya. Get comfy, gonna be a reeaallll long night.â He turned to walk away before quickly turning back. âOh, by the way, I do have a choking fetish, better keep that in mind.â He winked before turning and walking out the door.Â
đ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êż
Some time passed before Higgs re-entered the room with a open pizza box in one hand and a first aid kit in the other. He had a slice of pizza hanging loosely from his mouth. He gestured the box towards you where you remained sitting on the cot, back leaning against the wall. He couldnât speak due to the pizza heâd shoved into his mouth but he thrusted the box towards you again, implying you take a piece. When you didnât move to take it, he grunted and rolled his eyes, placing both the first aid kit and the pizza box on the bed next to you before removing the slice of pizza from his mouth.Â
âYou daft? Take a goddamn slice. Canât have ya starvinâ on me now can we.âÂ
You silently reached across and took a slice of pizza. It was topped with some sort of ⊠octopus?
âItâs cold by the way. Travesty. Someone rudely decided to attack me before I could eat it in its most delectable form.â He spoke like he was commenting on the most highest-class of cuisine. Which to him? He was.Â
You laughed, a mouthful of cold pizza. âI attacked you?â
âSure did darlinâ.â Higgs knelt down on the floor next to the bed and attempted to manoeuvre your leg so that it was in front of you.
âDonât touch me,â you barked as you jerked your leg away from him.Â
Higgs sat back on his knees, miming shock and hurt. âYa really donât appreciate friendly hospitality do ya?â In a flash of chiralium dust he disappeared and reappeared in the same place, this time firmly holding your leg onto the bed in front of him, grinning ear to ear, clearly amused by how easily he could control the situation. âCanât have my favourite captive dyinâ on me now can we?âÂ
âIâll be dead regardless, in âŠâ You looked across to the computer terminal on the desk, noting the time displayed. â ⊠7 hours, like I said. We both will actually. And maybe the Craftsman too, not quite sure, depends how big the explosion is. Itâll be one hell of a crater.â
Higgs began to clean the cut on your leg as he spoke. Chiral allergy tears were staring to drag his black eyeliner down his face as they fell. âDonât worry, Iâd dispose of ya properly. Thatâs irrelevant though, cause as much as Iâd love to believe that macabre little prospect youâre selling â darlinâ, I donât.â
âSuit yourself.â You crossed your arms defiantly and watched as Higgs continued to clean the stab wound heâd given you.
You sat in silence. Once Higgs had finished tying a bandage around the wound, he leant down and kissed it. He then retreated to the nearby desk and began tapping away at the terminal.Â
đ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êżđ„ ÖŽ àŒÂ Ű Ë àŁȘ àŒÂ ËÂ Êż
Several hours passed.Â
You broke the silence. âHowâd you see me on that hill the other day? You looked straight at me.â
Higgs huffed in frustration. âSo ya wonât answer my questions but ya think Iâll answer yours? Ha. No chance in hell sweetheart. Come on now, ya know what I wanna know.â
âI really canât tell you anything.â You were telling the truth. The circumstances of your âemployment'as an assassin for âBridgesâ was complicated and dangerous.
Higgs turned to look at you. âWell, ya better find somethinâ to tell me, otherwise youâre not goinâ nowhere.â He smiled. His tone, like always, seemed nonchalant at first but it was laced with a hint of darkness.Â
He turned back to the console and continued to read for several minutes before handing his head and sighing deeply. He knew you werenât going to answer him willingly, heâd have to try something else.Â
He stood up and walked back over to the bed, sitting back in the chair that was still next to it. He picked up the dagger which was on the table next to him. âOkay. This is gettinâ old anâ as much as I just love ya company, I have shit to do. Lemme give ya a hand. Youâre an assassin. Correct?â He knew the answer to this of course, but he wanted you to confirm it.Â
âI really canât tell you anything.â Higgs rolled his eyes and lunched towards you, holding the back of your head, fingers gripped in your hair, pulling your head back so that your throat was exposed to him. He tapped the dagger against your throat threateningly.Â
âTry again.â His voice was gravely, angry.Â
You drew a breath and paused for a moment, remaining silent.Â
Higgs sighed. âIâll help. I know ya donât work for Bridges like ya jumpsuit says. Donât think theyâre known for hirinâ assassins. So ⊠who do ya work for?â
You didnât reply.Â
Higgs chuckled. âDarlinâ, I know ya donât know me all that well just yet, but along with my chokinâ fetish? Iâm into knife play. So ya better be quick about it.âÂ
You continued to remain silent, wincing slightly as Higgsâ grip in your hair pulled tighter.Â
âAlrighty then, this is on you. Canât blame me for this one sweetheart.â Higgs smiled before slowly but firmly beginning to slide the dagger across the delicate skin of your neck. It was shallow, not enough to main, but certainly enough to draw blood. You took a sharp inhale as you felt the sharp metallic sting of the blade caress your skin. Higgs wasnât intending to do any real damage, only cutting deep enough for it to be a threat. He waited for you to change your mind and answer him â but you didnât. You remained silent and maintained eye contact with him the whole time, not backing down. You stood your ground.Â
Higgs scoffed as he lifted the blade away from your skin and say back in his chair, his expression a mixture of shock but also immense interest. You genuinely intrigued him. Itâs not often he gets to threaten someone who flat out refuses to be threatened. He wondered how much it would actually take to get you to talk, what heâd have to do. As interesting as that prospect was, he unfortunately had other things to do.
âWell. This is just delightful. Truly. Youâre a real treat sweetheart.â He sheathed the dagger back into his cargo belt. âYa really donât threaten easy do ya? Iâm not gonna get ya to talk to me am I?â
âNope.â You shook your head, gently caressing your fingers over the cut Higgs had just given your neck.Â
âInterestinâ. Okay, well in that case âŠâ Higgs stood abruptly. â⊠guess thereâs no point keepinâ ya here. Unless ya wanna stay for a sleepover?â He winked at you as he approached you.
âIâll pass, thanks.âÂ
âSuit yourself. I do put on one hell of a pillow fight. No? Your loss.â He reached down and undid the knot that was restraining your leg to the cot.Â
âYouâre actually gonna let me leave?â You was rightfully sceptical.Â
âLeave here, right now? Of course darlinâ, what else am I gonna do with ya? Ya ainât very good at obeying orders, and as fun as itâd be to make ya obey âŠâ He firmly squeezed your ankle, leaning in to kiss on top of the bandage heâd wrapped around your wound. â⊠Iâve got shit to do. So thatâll have to wait for another time. Am I gonna let ya leave me forever though? No chance in hell.â
Having untied you, he stood and picked up a roll of bandage from the first aid kit. He threw it at you before gesturing for the doorway. You tentatively stood, wincing slightly as you put weight on your injured leg. âI am sorry âbout that stab wound darlinâ. I warned you I like it rough, so ⊠thatâs on you really.âÂ
You rolled your eyes as you passed him, not wanting to waste any time getting out of his bunker. You roughly wrapped the roll of bandage around your neck, tying it firmly with a knot. You picked your cargo backpack up off the floor and walked towards the stairs that ascended out of the bunker.Â
You heard a needy, obnoxious voice call out from behind you. âHey hey hey. Whatâs this? No thank you for my generous hospitality? No goodbye kiss? Nothinâ?âÂ
You turned in the doorway to face him, he had a sarcastically disappointed look on his face, pouting like a disappointed child.Â
You faked a smile, purposefully overemphasising it, mockingly. âThank you Higgs.â You winked and then gestured violently at him with your middle finger.Â
He bowed. âYouâre so welcome, sweetheart. Until next time.â He sarcastically blew you a kiss.Â
You turned your back to him to walk up the stairs. âThere will not be a next time, asshole.â
As you reached the top of the stairs you heard him say, âOh darlinâ, weâll see about that.â
So I've decided to reboot my Higgs x OC fic as Higgs x Reader instead!
When I started writing it I thought she might be better as an OC because the she has quite a lot of backstory. But then I realised that when I read other peoples fics, I actually like if they give me a backstory. Like hell yeah I'll play this character that you've given a whole life story, why not?
So I'll repost the first two chapters in their updated form and then continue from there. The prologue will remain the same.
It has fluff, smut and everything in between.

CHAPTER 1 - THE MAN IN THE MASK
Somewhere in the wilderness of the former United States of America, an abandoned bunker had been haphazardly surrounded by tents, a temporary camp for a group of MULEs. The several dozen occupants of the camp rushed about moving boxes of stolen cargo. It was clear from their behaviour that they were expecting company, as several of the group were arming themselves and packing multiple suspicious looking items into large cargo containers. If the MULEs had been anticipating guests, then they had not yet arrived.Â
There was one guest however who had arrived. An uninvited, unrelated guest that they had not anticipated.
A few hundred meters away, on a low cliff, lay you, your vision focused intently on the MULE camp in front of you. You had been lying there for some time, the dewy grass dampening the front of your blue-grey jumpsuit as you lay on the cold ground. You lay prone, partially lying atop a long, silenced sniper rifle which was snugly tucked beneath you, the weight of your body embracing the rifle, giving it stability. You lay in silence, listening to the chirping of nearby birds and the wind gently rustling the blades of grass you lay amongst. Next to you lay a porters cargo backpack, its clasps occasionally clanging gently as they blew in the wind.Â
You were here on a job, an assassination, a rare career in this world of necrotism and void-outs. You were awaiting the appearance of your target, one of the MULEs. He wasnât the leader, however his death had been marked â not by you, but by the company you âworkedâ for. You simply did what they asked, their reasoning unquestioned.Â
Your target had not yet made his presence known, however the second he did would be his last. Assassins werenât too common these days and issues that required violent intervention were usually resolved non-lethally. The lives you took were dealt with by a follow-up team who disposed of your targets properly. It wasnât your responsibility, the company handled it. Thatâs the way they liked it.
Still looking through the scope of the sniper rifle, you watched as a truck pulled up to the camp, and three figures got out. You assumed these were the people that the MULEs were waiting for. The three men were dressed in ballistic vests, body armour and had black half-masks covering the lower half of their faces. You could see that they were heavily armed.Â
The three men approached the open tent where the MULEs had gathered and entered, blocking your line of sight to them. You werenât concerned by this however, as you continued to wait for your target. Anything else that happened in the camp was not your concern. Well that is, until it was.Â
Suddenly, your focus was distracted by something that you saw out of the corner of your eye. You looked back towards the truck to see a man sitting cross legged on the bonnet. You hadnât seen him exit the truck with the others, it was like he literally appeared out of nowhere. You thought maybe it was his sudden appearance that had caught your eye.Â
He was dressed a black ballistic vest and various other pieces of body armour, which stood out against the khaki cargo pants and shirt he had on underneath. He was heavily armed, various cargo pockets and pouches attached to the outside of his armour.Â
You watched curiously as he pulled what seemed to be an apple out of one of the pouches on his chest. You watched as he bit into it, lowering his black half-mask with each bite before pulling it back up again. You couldnât see his face, however you noted how pointless that seemed. What was the point of even wearing a mask if you were going to pull it down all the time? Maybe he didnât really mind if anyone saw his face, either because he simply didnât care, or because theyâd soon be dead enough to keep it a secret.
Something about him gave off a strange energy, sort of dangerous but also alluring, some sense of dominance or power. It was slightly off-putting but you werenât sure why. He was obviously the leader of the group that had got out of the truck.
His relaxed demeanour was strange in this situation, and it became even more of a contrast when the situation unfolding in the camp became increasingly more intense.Â
One of the apple manâs men emerged from the tent, dragging one of the MULEs behind him by the collar of his ballistic vest. The other two men then also emerged, aiming their weapons at the MULEs who exited the tent after them. The MULEs were pointing guns as well. It was a stand off.Â
You watched as the man sitting on the truck threw the apple over his shoulder and clapped his hands, a gesture which you took to be overtly mocking. He seemed overly amused with the situation unfolding in front of him. He spoke for a while, gesturing wildly with his hands, but you couldnât hear their conversation. He then did that shook you to your core.
He turned and looked at you.Â
The man seemed to be looking directly at you, which of course you knew was impossible, but somehow, you knew that he was. Thereâs no way he could have seen you, unless he had some sort of power, which you hoped was not the case. He must have just been distracted by something in this general direction, not you, surely.Â
You didnât have to wait long to find that out however, because in an instant, right in front of your eyes, the man disappeared into thin air.Â
You were stunned. You couldnât believe what you just saw, however you had to focus on the task at hand. When you didnât see the man reappear anywhere, you returned to searching for your target, ignoring the escalating scene between the MULEs and their guests that was blowing up before you.
It wasnât long before you felt an uneasy presence behind you, and then a voice, very close to your ear.Â
âYou after them or me?âÂ
Instantly, you simultaneously grabbed the tranquilliser pistol that was holstered across your chest for easy access, and flipped onto your back to face the voice behind you. You had a split second to recognise that it was the man with the apple that youâd seen disappear a few seconds ago. You thrusted the pistol toward him, the barrel physically hitting him square in the chest. âThe fuck?âÂ
The man sighed as if frustrated that he had to repeat himself, âI said, them or me?â
âDunno who you are, except that you're a man who has 10 seconds to get the hell out of here.â You didnât have time for this, nor did you appreciate his sudden interruption and obvious attempt to intrude in your personal space.Â
Even though he had a black mask covering the lower half of his face, you could see the smile that erupted behind it, seemingly entertained by your threat. His bright blue eyes were glowing, filled with smugness. âWell thatâs not a nice way to treat a stranger now is it? Oh âŠâ He looked past you at your sniper rifle, inspecting it. âOh my, lethal? Well now ainât that excitin'.âÂ
You both froze in silence for a few seconds, staring at each other. The masked man broke eye contact for a second to sarcastically mime tapping at the non-existent watch on his wrist, clearly mocking the ten second threat youâd given him. You noted how blue his eyes were, especially contrasted by the black kohl eyeliner that had been applied haphazardly around them. That was the only thought you had however before you readied your finger on the trigger.Â
âTimeâs up.â You pulled it.Â
The moment you pulled the trigger, the man disappeared into thin air again, leaving a small cloud of what seemed to be chiralium dust where he had once stood. You scrambled to your feet, trying to ascertain where he disappeared to. Sensing a presence behind you again, you quickly turned and aimed the pistol, only to find no one there. You noted that when the man disappeared, there was a slight sound and light, like a small jolt of lightning, and the faint presence of chiralium lingering in the air. It made your skin tingle slightly.
A voice called out from a few meters behind you. âDarlinâ you seem veerrryyy familiar to me somehow.âÂ
Assuming that he might pull the same trick again, reappearing behind you, you started to turn around one-eighty degrees but stopped halfway. You turned back to your original position and preemptively aimed and fired a tranquilliser bullet at the spot you hoped heâd reappear. Your assumption was proved correct as you saw the man reappear in front of you, stunned that the bullet had hit his ballistic vest.Â
âClever girrrll.â His words almost came out as a growl, predatory. âNot good enough though. Sorry darlinâ.â Of course, he wasnât sorry at all.
You quickly realised that the bullet hadnât pierced through the vest as the man disappeared again, however this time before you could react, you were grabbed firmly from behind. Strong arms wrapped around you, one around your abdomen and the other gripping the wrist of the hand that was holding the pistol, preventing you from aiming or firing. You were well and truly capable of defending yourself, but he was too strong, abnormally strong.Â
You struggled against him, attempting to break free from his strong grasp. You heard him chuckle, as if amused by your failed attempts to overpower him. He leant his face forward, so close to your ear that you could feel his breath emanating through his mask.
âCanât we just be civil? Have a nice conversation?â His hot breath against your skin sent a shiver down your spine.
You chuckled smugly. The closeness of his face to your head gave you a perfect opening. You leant your head slightly forward before throwing it back sharply to hit the man in the jaw with the back of your head. He grunted and his grip on you loosened, giving you an opportunity to lean down slightly and bite the hand that held your wrist.
As he grunted and stumbled backwards grabbing his hand in pain, you slid out of his grip and turned, aiming the pistol at him once more.
âI really need you to fuck off, whoever you are.â
He chuckled as he rubbed his hand. âSurprised ya donât know me darlinâ. The nameâs âŠ.â He began to speak before he was interrupted.Â
âI really donât care. Iâm gonna count to three.â
âSo rude.â He drew out the words sarcastically, pretending to be hurt by your words. A small sound emanated from his cuff-link, which he clearly heard. âOkay, ya win this one. Guess Iâll catch ya later, darlinâ.â The man winked and then disappeared into thin air.Â
You braced herself for his return, not knowing if and where he would reappear from. You waited. He didnât come back.
Tentatively you returned to your sniper rifle and to the job at hand, feeling extremely grateful for the silencer on the tranquilliser pistol that you had fired at the masked man. You cautiously lay back down and peered through the scope. You watched as the man in the black mask reappeared behind his group of men, who were still engaged in an increasingly volatile argument.Â
The masked man looked in your direction and waved before pulling out his pistol and shooting the two MULEs in front of him. His men took this as a sign to open fire on the remaining few MULEs in the camp, ducking and weaving behind cover to avoid their return fire. The man in the mask didnât move however, well, not in the way a human rally moves. Instead he disappeared and reappeared, chiral jumping to avoid any bullets heading his way, all while maintaining his gaze in your direction. He was showing off. Showing off for you.Â
After the shooting died down and all of the opposing MULEs were unconscious, the three men collected their cargo and started loading it into the truck, before getting in themselves. You watched as the masked man bowed in your direction before waving as he walked towards the truck and hoped in.
As they drove away, you lowered your rifle and sighed deeply. Theyâd made such a goddamn mess. Your target wasnât going to walk into your line of sight now because heâd be lying unconscious somewhere. Annoyed that youâd have to go down there, you began to disassemble your rifle. Your thoughts wandered from the task at hand to the masked man. No-one in their right mind would willingly approach someone who is clearly an assassin, let alone remain when given the option to flee with their life. But then again, you thought, he didnât seem like he was in his right mind. You hoped you didnât encounter him again. Unfortunately however, you did.Â

EVENT HORIZON
PROLOGUE
Somewhere in the vast expanse of the Australian outback, far from any form of civilisation, there was an abandoned warehouse. Itâs original purpose lost long ago, it now served as a makeshift base of operations for a man whose purpose had also been lost a long time ago.Â
In a room filled with empty pizza boxes and crates of newly fabricated assault rifles, a figure stood. A figure who at first glance, was human, inspected his handiwork. Small mechanical whirs could be heard as he lifted up an assault rifle, inspecting it closely, mechanical fingers caressing its details. He stood in silence, the sound of fabricators echoing in the background, as he placed the gun back down into an empty pizza box which now served as a way of smuggling the guns across the country.Â
He missed pizza, the sensation of the hot cheese threatening to burn the roof of his mouth, a sensation he could no longer feel. He could still feel some things, his body was programmed that way, however the sensation of eating pizza was not one of them. Maybe one day it would be, but he didnât want to hope. Hope had never been kind to Higgs Monaghan.Â
All of a sudden, sounds of fighting could be heard in the distance. Higgs smiled with golden stained lips at the potential for violence, the chance to demonstrate his power to some unwilling victim. Most people werenât stupid enough to leave the safety of the scattered cities, let alone wander into an abandoned warehouse. His warehouse. He got lucky today, or so he thought.
The heavy double doors at the end of the room suddenly slammed open. Higgs watched as two of his followers pushed through the doorway. They were dragging a masked figure between them, holding them up on either side by their arms, their feet dragging on the ground.Â
As they got closer, Higgs could see that the figure was a woman, dressed in black clothing and comprehensive body armour of various textures. She wore a mask that Higgs found curious, similar in a way to the red mask he often wore, changeable, but with no facial features that he could see. Its surface was pitch black and seemed to be shifting slightly, its texture neither a solid or liquid. It covered her whole face.Â
The two men lifted the woman up to her feet as if making her presentable for their leader. Her stance was weakened from having received several blows to the abdomen, courtesy of the two men holding her.Â
âWell well well, I assume this our brave intruder? Welcome!â Higgs time for grandiosity had arrived. He relished in it.Â
Higgs watched as the woman looked up at him, and was astounded as he saw the words âFUCK YOUâ flicker up on the mask surface, like text on a screen. It was similar to the way the holographic screen appears above a terminal, but on a smaller scale.
âWell ainât that somethinâ.â Higgs was genuinely intrigued, if he had eyebrows, theyâd be raised in curiosity.Â
âShe demanded to be brought to you.â One of the men said, holding the woman firmly.
âWell now that is brave. Stupid ⊠but brave.â The woman looked up at Higgs as he began to slowly approach her. His steps were slow, meaningful, predatory, intending to cause some form of terror and anticipation in his prey.Â
âNot every day that a beautiful woman walks in here so recklessly. Well, I mean âŠâ Higgs feigned a chuckle of embarrassment. â⊠Iâm assuminâ youâre beautiful under âŠâ He motioned with his hand at her up and down, gesturing at her armour. â⊠all that. Donât worry, it wonât matter it ya ainât, been a reaalll long time since Iâve held a woman.â He winked at her as he continued to approach. âGot some questions first though.â
Higgs stopped in front of her and reached out to grip her jaw just below her mask, firmly, and angled her face up to face his own. He held her face just centimetres away from his. The woman could feel the cold touch of metal where Higgs held her, on a small patch of exposed skin on her neck.Â
âHiggs?â A voice whispered out from behind the mask, broken, hoarse, one of the first words the woman had spoken in weeks.Â
âSure is darlinâ, in the flesh, well ⊠not completely.â He winked at her as he used his free hand to tap his metal chest with his knuckle, causing a small knock. âAnâ who might you be?â
âJust someonewho knows what you really are under all ⊠that.â
âAnd what might that be darlinâ?â The woman's mocking tone angered but also greatly intrigued Higgs. As rare as it was for someone to walk into his warehouse, it was rarer still for someone to be stupid enough to willingly cause conflict with him.
âJust a scared little boy whoâs so desperate for attention that heâll take it wherever he can get it, even if ⊠he doesnât think he deserves it.â
Higgs grinned ear to ear, releasing his grip on her jaw before stepping back. He was massively amused. âWell shit! Damn girl! Tell me how ya really feel!â
âI bet youâre still just following the whims of others, too scared to even decide what it is you truly want.â She paused for heavier emphasis on her final word. âCoward.â
Higgs walked in a small circle, opening up his arms enthusiastically, showing off, the sarcasm heavy in his voice. âYou know what? Iâm so glad ya walked in here today. Itâs been such a long time since someone decided to intentionally piss me off. Iâve really missed it. Thank you sooo much sweetheart.â As he said those last words he lunched forward, his fist colliding with the masked womanâs stomach, causing her to expel all of her breath and hunch over, her arms still held firmly by Higgsâ followers.Â
Higgs gripped her jaw once more, pulling her up and off her feet until she was face to face with him, the grin on his face beaming at her. He looked towards his followers, âGet out.â They released the womanâs arms and left the room, closing the doors behind them. The woman immediately brought her newly freed arms up to grip the strong metal hand that held her throat. She gasped for breath, however she didnât fight back.Â
âJust so ya know, I wouldâa punched ya in the face, nice solid hit to the jaw.â With his free hand, Higgs mimed swinging a punch, making a little click with his tongue to represent the hit. âDonât worry your pretty little head though, ya wonât miss out on that, Iâll give it another go later. Gotta be able to see that pretty face first though.âÂ
Higgs placed his free hand on front of the womanâs mask and was met with a sensation similar to an electric shock. It was strong enough to be painful and caused him to release both his hand from the mask, and from her jaw. He stepped back in shock. The woman fell to the ground on her knees, she sat back on her feet and looked up at him, watching intently, making no attempt to escape. She simply waited.
Higgs shook his hand in pain, unfortunately that was a sensation he could feel. âNice trick, I should rig mine to do that! Question now is, whatâll it take to get ya to remove it?â
Higgs chiral jumped and reappeared crouched in front of the woman. âCause darlinâ I got some mighty fine ways of makinâ you break.â Higgs placed his hand on her chest, firmly pushing her onto her back. He knelt above her, gripping her chin once more and leaning in so close to her mask that his face was almost touching it. âSome of whichâll be very fun. Well ⊠for me at least.â He grinned widely and winked at her, smugly. He was too busy relishing in the power he seemingly had over her that he didnât consider why the woman didnât resist.Â
As he lay over her, Higgs watched as the womanâs mask rippled slightly, and then disappeared. He donât know where it disappeared to, itâs like it vanished into thin air.Â
The disappearance of the mask revealed another mask underneath, a black half-mask, covering her face from her cheekbones downward.Â
âWell thatâs a shame, we didnât get to the fun âŠ.â Higgs comment was cut short by an immediate feeling of shock at what he saw. He froze, not being able to comprehend what he was seeing. He felt like heâd been hit by a truck, any air he had in his body gone in an instant.Â
He slowly released his grip on the womanâs throat and slowly moved his fingers up to caress her right eye socket. He gently ran his fingers over the scar there, a scar in the shape of the Eye of Horus, an Egyptian symbol of protection. It was burned around her eye, as if done by pressing a cattle brand over her eye socket, the scarred design extending from her cheekbone up to her brow bone. Sheâd been branded. Higgs didnât have to guess if this was the case. He knew.
Higgsâ body, albeit inhuman, tensed and his fingers started to shake slightly as he gently gripped the top edge of her mask before slowly pulling it down. He pulled it down under her chin, fully revealing her face. The woman looked up at him, gazing into his bright blue eyes, not resisting against his actions in any way.Â
Higgs made an audible noise of shock as his breath hitched, mouth hanging open. His facial expression looked like he had just unmasked a ghost. His reaction was justified because as far as he was concerned ⊠he had.
NOTE: this is only the beginnin' sweethearts, sooo much more to follow. Can't wait to share it with ya'll ... soon ;)
iâm sorry but i need to have sex. i need to feel a cock throbbing deep inside me while i ride it desperately or get pounded as hard as possible. i need to clench helplessly around something pulsing inside me and feel it rub against my walls with every thrust until iâm shaking.
THIRSTY THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Sleepy mornings with Higgs. Youâve slept horribly and barely have the energy to move yet, but heâs slept amazingly, as he always (& only) does when he sleeps next to you.
Heâs nuzzling your face gently with his own when a subtle move of his hips informs you that youâre about to be required to awaken much quicker than youâd like.
Or so you thought. Turns out that involuntary sigh you let out was heard, prompting the lips that are currently grazing your cheek to smirk as his comforting words let you know you donât have to move a muscle.
I mean, your muscles will be moving, but heâs more than happy to do all the work.
I like making playlists for my fictional crushes
And I just noticed that my WalterOne/David8 playlist is 1 hour and 2 minutes long, the James Sunderland one is 1 hour and 52 minutes and the Higgs one... My playlist for Higgs is 4 HOURS and 3 minutes long, haha, oh my... đžâšđ
i'm a spirit in a tomb.
THIRSTY THOUGHT OF THE DAY
Losing my mind thinking about the fact that if he really let himself be vulnerable, Higgs would absolutely not be able to handle the fact that you actually want him.
Heâd spiral so far that heâd reach a point where he thinks youâre trying to manipulate him somehow, pretending to want him to get close and earn his trust, some sort of cruel lie.
So itâs lucky that thereâs a foolproof way to prove to him just how much you want him, something thatâs impossible to fake.
Just imagine how much his eyes will widen when you guide his fingers down, trailing them down your abdomen to where the proof has already started to pool.
