We Are More Than Stone, 2021
I’ve been meaning to do more paranormal art inspired by my experiences as a Medium! For my first, I thought back to this fascination I have of the parallels between the way we communicate with anything “unknown” and how spirits communicate with us; how in both instances, the other seeks to be known through hallmark traits of what we believe ties us to being human, hoping someone like us will respond. After learning to peel back the layers of fear imposed by society upon spirits, I’ve been taught the hard line drawn between “us and them” is softer than we think and has been key to dismantling my own fears around the things I’ve been seeing all my life: the same humanity that exists in me exists in them
White supremacy and colonization really forced that male/female binary forced onto so many communities, lands, and cultures, huh?
I’m noticing that trend ☝🏾...a lot of cultures historically recognized more than the binary system that they’ve been shoving down our throats for centuries. Because they came and pushed their beliefs on everyone and made them assimilate. Come to find out that they were wrong...about a lot of things. But the irreparable damage they’ve caused 🤧.

Something that I dislike is the trend to associate Carnonos with art that is overwhelmingly dark and heavy and scary. I don't think that Carnonos is scary or that he looks scary, in fact, as a psychopomp, I believe he would take on a form that is comforting to those who are passing.
He is the one who helps souls from one gate to another and back again, he's used to these souls being scared and for me, he's a God who protects and defends and comforts, he says "No, this realm is MY domain and you have nothing to fear, for I walk with you always"
I don't think the Otherworld is a dark place either. It's Other so we can't really think about it with our limited sensory experience. I am pretty sure that you go to wherever the God or Gods you are closest too guide you. I hope to be able to walk with Carnonos and help him guide souls, sleep in the fields with Nantosuelta and help her bloom the valleys, dine in the hall with Sucellos and the ancestors and crush grapes with them for wine, and visit Sirona amongst the stars and help pour her healing waters over those who need it.
Carnonos isn't dripping with blood and baring fangs, he is a gentle hand and warm cloak around you as he leads you down the road to the next life.
I think that sometimes the dark aesthetic relates to the mystery of death. Like I feel kind of comforted by images of Cernunnos in darkness and heaviness because it shows Him there, among the unknown I fear. Just a thought.
Old vintage dodge car. Photos by me~
I found this copy of Thoreau’s Walden buried in the park. I opened it and saw these roots growing between the pages. I don’t know whether to frame it or put it back in the ground.
I think about this 1-2 times every day. Especially lately. I hate it.

- 🌿🕊🥮✨💛
this body scrub fits in so perfectly with the season and it’s so easy to put together, great for a boost to your prosperity and invoking an invigorating sense of love and reassurance~

abundance, love, healing, energy, prosperity, motivation, compassion, confidence, communication, abundance of wealth, luck
- basil
prosperity, abundance, health, luck, kindness, attraction of wealth, growth, confidence, happiness, love
[ putting it together ]
in your mortar and pestle, gently grind together your basil and sugar; this is the perfect time to work in your intent, you could even have a white or green candle lit for this step for an extra kick :)
once combined, go ahead and transfer everything to a dish and gently fold in your thinned out honey, you can just do this by microwaving it for about 5-10 secs, which makes it much easier to incorporate; once everything is combined evenly, go ahead and use it up or pop it in the fridge for up to 12-14 days!
🌼 Little chamomile milk tea potion 🌼
I made this to relax before bed and bring in sweet dreams and happiness the next day. This is good after a stressful day or when you want a good nights sleep.
What you need
-3 chamomile tea bags - relaxing, peace, happiness
-water (I used normal water but you can use rain or moon water for more of an effect)
-milk
-honey - to sweeten your dreams
-cinnamon - to bring happiness into the next day and to remind you that the sun always rises the next day
Steps
I. Fill a mug ¼ full of water and pour it into a pot. Put the chamomile tea bags in and simmer the pot to let them seep
II. Let the tea get really strong. Maybe simmer it for about 10 minutes
III. Fill the mug about ¾ full of milk and pour it into the tea. Make sure to leave the tea bags in.
IV. Add in honey and stir until devolved. Once your milk tea is warm, pour it into the mug and sprinkle cinnamon one top
V. Hold the mug in your hand and change it with calm and happy energy
I hope you enjoy this delicious milk tea! Have a wonderful day 🌼
this looks absolutely divine i can’t wait to make myself a nice cozy cup before bed, especially in the winter!
