I am the god of this world. At my will, objects enter and leave existence. There is a chair. The chair is next to a table. On the table is a book. In my absence, these items could not be perceived.
I am the dust of this world. Nothing will ever occur unless I enumerate the occurrence. The first hundred pages of the book are filled with text. The second hundred pages are blank. There are more pages, but, without a description, they are neither filled nor blank.
I am the timepiece of this world. I direct the flow of time for all that I create, but I cannot affect the time that pours forth due to my existence. Time did not exist before I came into existence, and time will cease to exist after I cease to exist. I did not exist before this world came into existence, yet this world did not exist before I came into existence.
I am the shackle of this world. There can be no existent variation from my will. It is impossible to will a sapient being into existence. Their actions and thoughts are all foreseen, their life and destiny predetermined.
I had a dream where I started off by getting in a car accident in some city. I dropped my car (an unfamiliar white sedan instead of my trusty black 2006 Ford Taurus) off at a repair shop, then walked over to a nearby library. After reading through some old book that I'd apparently read before and recommending it to a patron standing next to me, I left and went to a café that was one building over. The patron to whom I'd spoken went with me, though he was no one I recognized or had met before.
At the café, the repair shop could be seen across the street through the windows, so the guy and I were watching the cars that were being repaired, with the guy commenting about each car as it rolled up. Eventually, it looked like they were going to start working on my car, to which the guy said, “That ain't your car.”
At that moment, the dream perspective shifted to third-person and flew over to the lot of cars before the shop. Indeed, it wasn't my car, but some ratty green van. As I(?) watched, the driver side window was knocked out from the inside, and then Kramer from Seinfeld forced himself out bodily through the window. He fell flat on the ground, but quickly righted himself and bolted off down the street, with the perspective floating after him.
After a moment of running, he arrived at a fence which separated the city from a grassy trail. At this fence, Kramer scrambled through a small hole along the bottom and took off down the path. The perspective didn't follow any further at that point, and switched back to first-person after watching him shrink away into the distance for a second.
As the book guy and I had just witnessed that from out vantage point at the café, we opted to go after him to see what was up. We walked over to the fence, crawled under, and began strolling along the path (which only extended off to the left, with the right side ending in a dead-end near where the hole in the fence was). As we walked along, the fence seemed to grow taller and more opaque, and the city increasingly distant.
At around the point where the clangor of the city had fallen silent and had been replaced with bird song and a gentle breeze, several police officers accompanied by a ridiculous number of dogs all charged past us down the path, with one of them lingering behind with us. It was Emily Watson (not Emma Watson, mind you), except she was a detective rather than an actress. She was looking for Kramer, as he was guilty of a bank robbery or something along those lines. She admitted, however, that there was something strange about the grassy path, and that she had just decided to start heading back when she found us. Thus, the three of us started back toward the city. She didn't seem too fond of the book guy, but she and I got along quite nicely.
When the three of us arrived back at the entrance to the city, there was a moment where we laid down on the grass to relax for a moment. Then, yet another detachment of a few police officers (with over a dozen dogs) poured through onto the path and off into the distance. A couple of the dogs sniffed at me for a second while an officer asked us if we'd seen Kramer.
At that point, the dream transitioned to where it was Jerry, George, and Elaine (all from Seinfeld) talking about a dream that Jerry had had where he had actually been the one to commit the bank robbery and where he was the member of some secret society of thieves. Interestingly, I think the perspective might've been first-person from Jerry then, but I don't exactly remember. I woke up around that point.
The more notable of the rapid-fire image sequences from Arael’s attack on Asuka’s mind in episode 22 of Neon Genesis Evangelion, in order of appearance.
I recycled some photos that didn’t turn out well.
I made this to use as an avatar. It looks better in grayscale, but I only ever bothered to convert the 100x100 version to grayscale.
Here’s the 128x128 version in grayscale. ^^
The remains of a demolished apartment complex. It distinctly reminded me of Concrete World from Yume 2kki.
