here's two articles about how JK Rowling just posted on X an upskirt photo of Freda Wallace, a transgender woman, after deadnaming her and misgendering her repeatedly online.
The wealthy author escalated a social media spat that resulted in posting a photo from a 2023 event at the Institute of Economic Affairs in
Rowling posted the picture taken from below because the trans woman, she said, was "refusing to debate me."
Thank you for posting without the fucking destiel meme

I always thought Reddit was a place where people could share things they created.A few days ago I posted one of my original paintings. People loved it. We had wonderful conversations about art, emotions, and how everyone saw something different in the same sunset.
About two hours later I was permanently banned from r/MadeMeSmile for “self-promotion.”
I accepted that different communities have different rules. But then something even stranger happened.Soon afterward, a moderator from r/pics started going through my account. Not just the new post—many of my older painting posts disappeared as well. One after another. Then I was permanently banned there too.
Maybe it was the same moderator. Maybe it wasn’t. I honestly don’t know.
What surprised me wasn’t even the ban itself. It was realizing how much power individual moderators have over what millions of people are allowed to see. One decision can erase years of posts from a community and instantly cut off your ability to participate, even if those posts had been happily sitting there for months or years.I’m not saying moderators shouldn’t have rules. Communities need moderation. But it does make you wonder where the line is between protecting a community and allowing a single interpretation of the rules to completely reshape what people can share.
The funny part?
I wasn’t advertising anything in those posts. I wasn’t posting prices or asking anyone to buy anything. I was simply sharing my original paintings because I enjoy discussing art with strangers from around the world.
Anyway…
Here’s the painting that apparently caused all the trouble. 🎨

i think out of disrespect we should just start using "spamtenna moment" as shorthand for when a nothing tier yaoi ships between side characters somehow manages to eclipse in fandom popularity all of the central character relations of both the main cast and the rest of the side characters that aren't men. i think this should become such a widespread and entrenched form of fandom lingo for insulting ships that the next generation of teens will grow up understanding its meaning and not its origins in the same way teens of my generation used adjective!character parlance long before ever learning what bang paths were.
If you want more content of a ship or character you like you can always..... (hand motions)..... make it yourself? Instead of trying to shame fans of the big ship just make more content of the things you like. Share art and fanfics of the one you like.
Mlm ships overtake fandoms because the fans are passionate. Try matching that passion instead of trying to act as if they're inferior. 😐
Are they really so inferior if they are Actually Making Art?
shit like this is so fucking intensionally dense. femalash fans are some of the most consistently dedicated and passionate people in any given fan space. and it literally does not matter how much they make and share because, until people who are interested in female characters are not the significant minority in literally every fan space with meaningfully mix-gendered casts, it will never ever be possible for us to produce enough fan works to make up the difference. do you understand that? the gap between how much fan interest there is in female character vs male characters relative to their respective screentime is massive and acting like you can bootstraps you way out of cultural misogyny is just fucking vile. the reason you can say that m/m fans are "actually making art" with the implications that fans of female characters aren't is because like everyone else you're not interested in going out and looking for it. it exists.
here's me not shaming "m/m" fans in general. here's me shaming you specifically: you are either a misogynist, an idiot, or both. you are inferior to me because you are incapable of reflecting on fandom trends as being subject to the same social forces that any other types of group behavior on the planet are. you are thirty years old and your response to women who are frustrated with an extremely noticeable and mathematically backed up male bias in fandom that predates either of us being born is to be dismissive and pass the buck back towards us as if it's our job to become Fanart Sweatshops to try and compensate for how little anyone else gives a shit about us. no matter how central female characters narrative arcs and interpersonal relationships are to the plot of a work, if there are two male characters that are theoretically shippable in proximity to them that character dynamic will immediately become the most widely celebrated one. always. across essentially every piece of media that's developed a real fanbase on the entire planet. why do you think that is, dipshit? use your brain. you've typed enough letters in a row there that you've got to have at least something rattling around in your otherwise empty head
The rest of the space is going to be pretty pissed when they see this.
did you google how to take a screen shot
hey does anyone have that post where i talked about how its not cool or funny to immediately cry "but my ships!!! 🥺" whenever someone says they headcanon a character as aromantic
also this isnt just about headcanons. like. Stop treating aromanticism like its a tragedy. or any aspec identity for that matter. i mean theres something that can be said about aspecs wanting to be allo based on their own personal experiences, but thats not whats going on here. it is not a tradgedy that fictional characters dont experience romantic attraction (not even talking about how being aromantic doesnt mean you cant be in a romantic relationship). it is not a tragedy that i do not experience romantic attraction. people dont mourn lesbian characters/headcanons because "they cant love men🥺🥺 my ships!!" please be normal about aspecs, whining about even the CONCEPT of characters being aromantic because you cant ship them is arguably pretty damn aphobic. Stop treating aromantics like theyre a tragedy.
"B-but my yaoi/yuri 🥺"
guys i know you mean well but like. this isnt just about headcanons. freaking out when someone headcanons a fictional character as aromantic isnt a good sign youll respect canon aromantic characters or real aromantics in real life
[ID:
A cartoon of a character giving a thumbs up that blasts the colours of the aromantic flag.
The missing the point meme cartoon where the point of “mourning fictional characters for not being able to experience romantic attraction is inherently arophobic” goes over the observer’s head and the observer takes away “respect other people’s headcanons! You don’t have to like it!”
/end ID]
too many people have the idea that racism is a nothingburger thing. like. people die from that. it’s not “cancel culture” to call out racism. and if you’re white and you say anything close to that you have some serious self-reflecting to do. idc if you’re a content creator. idc if “it could happen to you.” having a platform on the internet and saying stupid bullshit doesn’t make you more oppressed than the marginalized groups you’re criticizing for being upset
I honestly think Gen-Z and younger simply does not understand how recent widespread smartphone adoption is.
I am not that old, and I didn't have a smartphone until probably late high school. For most of my life, many if not most people were not walking around with a magic internet machine in their pocket that they pulled out and used constantly for everything.
