lmfao i am too old to be reading posts from people sincerely pissed off that their art keeps getting comparisons to one of the modern masters of illustration. oh poor baby. that must be so hard
"i hate when people compare me to other artists" your audience likely lacks the vocabulary to articulate what those similarities are and why they resonate with the art bc arts education has been in the toilet for 60 years. they are complimenting you using language available to them under a framework unique to their personal experiences. what you want is a collection of dolls with a pull string you can use to elicit specific praises.
you gotta have some grace lol
its been long enough now i can say the artist who the person who spurred this post was freaking out over being compared to was yoshitaka amano. can you imagine lmfao
big tshirt that says YOUR INTERPRETATIONS MUST HAVE A STRONG BASIS IN THE SOURCE MATERIAL on the front and I HATE FUN on the back
it's okay to draw for glory. don't let anyone convince you that art has to be a hobby. you don't have to rest or take breaks. if you feel yourself hitting a wall feel free to lose sleep over the process. you can forgo friendship if you need to. it's completely fine to want your art to win you immortality through your influence and canonization as a master. you don't have to take it easy
Your artstyle is like your gut microbiome in the way its everything you consume and like and it also has all your bacteria up in it. Thats probably how that works
I will never be accepted into the greater artist community until I learn to love the acrylic charm. Yes master the American social media artist selling mass produced acrylic charms with their own digital design printed upon it is the most exploited proletariat in the world. No master I will never ever learn about the exploitation of global south workers. Yes master the acrylic charm was spontaneously generated as soon as the Artist paid a completely arbitrary fee. No master the Artist is the only person who matters
A mid-sized western art youtuber can hire a team to design a plushie, have that plushie manufactured in a South Asian country, get it shipped to America, and sell it for 30 dollars. And this is just some arbitrary number with no geopolitical context and if you, the Consumer, think it's too expensive. Then you are Starving The Artist, the poor poor prole who can't afford to eat but can, somehow, afford to use the labor of 400 Bengali women to make a plushie of a frog wearing stockings.

Hello! Sorry if this has been asked before but I'm really curious about your choices when it comes to anatomy. It's so loosey-goosey and absolutely I adore it. I feel like “correct” anatomy is so emphasized in the art world and was just wondering how you came into this aspect of your art style.
Thank you for sharing your work with us!!!💖
hello darling!
thank you so much! 💋
i've been drawing pretty much non stop since i was a kid! I think this is the natural evolution stemming from my ADD riddled brain wanting to draw very very fast and move on to the next drawing very very quickly. But i'm also just very fascinated by simple drawings, very good confident crisp lines.
anywho I slapped together this for you, hope it's somewhat explanatory!
