“Look around, look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now!” Eliza giggled as she sung and pulled the person next to her into her dance. “History is happening in Washington and we just happen to be in the greatest city in the world! In the greatest city in the world!”
namine gasped in surprise as she was pulled away from her drawing and into a dance with someone. the other’s joy was contagious, though, and namine couldn’t help but give small giggle as she danced (flailed, more like it) with the woman. “why such a good mood?” namine asked, giggling.

like every day, belle left her favorite used bookstore with several new books in her arms. sadly, since she no longer has the absolute privilege of having the library in the castle, it’s been up to her to rebuild her collection in this new city. as she walked down the sidewalk, the heel of her shoe got stuck on something that probably should have been in a trash can, sending her tumbling down on the pavement.
books were everywhere, but it wasn’t until she saw both alice’s adventures in wonderland and little women face down in a puddle that belle let out a sharp gasp. “oh, no!” she exclaimed, ignoring any scrapes and scratches she might have as she began to collect her belongings.
namine saw the woman take a tumble, and immediately rushed to her aid. “are you okay, miss?” she asked, picking up a few books and examining them for a moment, before holding them out to her. just as she was about to say something, she noticed the scratches the other had received. “oh, gosh. you’re really scratched up. i can see if someone nearby has a first aid kit.”
darknessovertherainbcw:
“They didn’t say. All they said was to meet them an hour ago.” Veronica rubbed the back of her neck, clearly uncomfortable. All she wanted was a good night and now she had to spend it with a complete stranger. “I’m Veronica”
“oh. well, that wasn’t very nice of them to leave you all alone,” namine mused, noticing the disappointment apparent in the other’s demeanor. “oh, i’m namine. it’s nice to meet you, veronica.” she smiled before glancing around. “what kind of date do you want to go to?”
agirlhasnoname-dc:
“No! No! I’m sorry!” Arya tucked her knife away, running her fingers through her hair. “I over reacted, really.” She offered the woman her hand, taking pity.
“i did too,” namine muttered quietly, avoiding eye contact as she accepted the other’s hand. “thank you.” with the help of the girl, she stood up on shaky knees. “do you normally pull knives on random people?”

sidney was suspicious. sidney was always suspicious. suspicious of everyone and everything. a necessary and yet very difficult part of the life she had lived. still, she had tried not to be victim to that too. “i’m sidney.” she finally said, taking the girl’s hand. “and that… sounds good. thank you.”
“it’s nice to meet you, sidney.” she smiled, shaking the other’s hand. this is how normal people greeted each other, right? so far the other didn’t seem so weirded out by her actions so that must be a good sign. “if you don’t mind me asking, where are you originally from?”
stilesstillinski-dc:
When Stiles saw the look on her face, he instantly felt bad. “No, no it’s okay! I just, didn’t realize that I actually looked like that.”
“oh,” she glanced back down at her drawing, not totally convinced by him. “if you don’t like something about it, you can tell me. i can try to fix it for you. i’m still learning how to do more realistic portraits, so it’s okay.”
stilesstillinski-dc:
Closed starter for @lonelymemoir
“It’s not that you’re wrong, exactly, you’re just extremely not right.”
“i---” namine paused, trying to comprehend his statement. “i don’t think i understand. is something wrong with---er, not right with the portrait i drew of you?”
darknessovertherainbcw:
“A date is a social or romantic appointment or engagement. Basically it’s like hanging out, but romantic intentions.” Veronica couldn’t help but laugh that the girl didn’t understand what a date was.
“oh, yes, i knew that,” namine remarked quielty, threading her fingers together. “i’ve just never been on one. so i guess i understand the confusion.” she tilted her head in curiosity. “where were you and your other date supposed to go?”
agirlhasnoname-dc:
Arya had her headphones in, walking home from her shift at the local animal shelter. She knew it wasn’t safe this time of night, but she didn’t care. She found it rather exhilarating, the idea that danger could be lurking around every corner. She walked, eyes peeled and when someone abruptly stepped out in front of her, she used the momentum to pin them to the ground, her knife at their throat. Breathing heavily, she realised the situation and rolled off, tucking her knife away. “I’m so sorry!” She brushed herself off, before thinking about it all. “What the fuck, though? Don’t you know better than scaring people?!?”
namine was lost, realizing her exploring had taken her too far this time. she was about to turn a corner when suddenly someone came at her. the knife at her throat was a scarily familiar feeling, and immediately memories she had tried to push away resurfaced, and she panicked, tears pooling in her eyes. “i’m sorry, i’m sorry!” she gasped, thinking for a moment she was in an encounter with larxene, when in reality, it was just a suddenly not as dangerous girl. namine sat up, trying to ease her shaking. “i didn’t mean to scare you,” she spoke, quiet this time, getting a better look at the other’s face. “i’m sorry.”
darknessovertherainbcw:
“Hey? My date kinda bailed on me, would you want to go on a date with me?”
“a-a date?” namine repeated, the question completely taking her by surprise. “i’ve never been on a date before. but it sounds fun. where to?”
thorncrowncd:
- after presenting the question, rhaenys marked the page she had been reading and closed her book to give the answer her full attention. “ well what do you imagine a dragon looks like? ” her curiosity grew as she adjusted herself to face the other better from where she sat whilst scooping up her playful kitten so he wouldn’t run off while she wasn’t looking. “ you could always name it after a loved one or the fiercest name you can think of, make sure its name is known. …or make it entirely ironic and call it ‘daisy’ or something of the sort. ”
“well...” namine started, thinking on it a bit. “the only dragon i know of is black and purple and...scary. but if i had a dragon, i think it would be a nice dragon,” she mused, tapping her chin thoughtfully with her pointer finger. namine found it kind of the other to give her suggestions, but it just didn’t seem to be helping. “i don’t know...maybe i would just name it ‘daisy’. that’s a pretty name. i don’t think i would like to name it after anyone i know, and i’m not sure what counts as a ‘fierce’ name.”
survivesomehcw:
sidney nodded, her eyes haunted as she spoke. “i, yeah, i only just turned up here and i’m from somewhere very different and i’m still… i’m just still getting used to all of it, i suppose.”
namine smiled sympathetically, understanding what the other was feeling. “i completely understand. i’m...sort of going through the same thing right now.” she softly exhaled, before extending her hand. “my name is namine. maybe we can get through this together.”
nitrchero:
The hero looked over, lowering his arm after studying the other then looks away.
❝The place was under attack, I was called in to fuck those villains up and send them to jail. Everyone had to be evacuated because it’ll get messy. That’s that. Now stop following me. It’s dangerous.❞ He glared at the girl ❝Go somewhere else. Stay far from here. Go indoors or whatever.❞
so he’s a hero. his explanation left namine with some suspicion, just because of his horrible attitude, but since he lowered his hand, she would take his word for now. she would gladly go somewhere else, if there was somewhere to go. “i-i don’t know where we are,” she admitted, embarrassed. “did you not...finish off all the bad guys?”
northmxn:
Eric couldn’t tell if the girl was joking or not but the gullible expression in her big doe eyes suggested and she was in fact serious. “A bar? A club? An entertainment venue?” He tilted his head to the side, eying the woman up and down. “If you don’t know what it is, why would you walk in?”
“oh,” namine simply muttered, getting a better look at the place and deciding that it makes sense that this is a bar. she’s pretty sure she’s never been in a bar, but some flashing memory from wherever seemed to connect this place with that word. she focused her attention back on the man. “curiosity, i guess. i’m not familiar with this town.”
nitrchero:
There was finally action going on. Villains. Perfect. He needed this badly. He needed to rage. Oh how good it felt to rage. Villains, left and right, being blown away by his explosions. He knocked them down one by one. Sure he caused some damage but did he care? So as long as the civilians were out of the way, he can let loose.
Once the fight was over, the villains were apprehended and reporters started to swarm him. He frowns, walking away, telling them to fuck off. He wasn’t about to let them interview him at all.
He took his mask off along with his grenade gauntlets, wiping the sweat off his forehead. He sensed someone following him and he brings his hand out to the back, open palm. Sparks were setting off on his forearm and to his hand.
❝You better have a good fucking reason why you’re following me and why I shouldn’t blow your face off.❞
naturally the sound of explosions was enough to scare namine and peak her curiosity all at the same time. a part of her worried that the organization had found her, and a part of her hope it was just riku to help her home. either way, she had to find out, so she made her way towards the action once it had died down, and seeing someone walk away from it all. wanting desperately to know what happened, she tried catching up to the other, about to ask a question, when suddenly, she stopped.
her breath caught in her throat at the sight of sparks coming off the other’s hand, inches away from her face. her mind instantly went to larxene and her lightning, but she tried bringing herslef to reality, knowing it was a boy. not larxene. still, she feared for her life.
“i-i’m sorry,” she breathed, voice barely above a whisper. “i just wanted to know what happened.” she tried to stop her shaking, and calm herself down.
survivesomehcw:
living life as ‘the sidney prescott’ in woodsboro had not been anything that sidney had enjoyed. everyone knew her. movies and books and stories about the girl at the centre of the massacre. and shortly after, a second massacre surrounding her for her to be the centre of. she hated it. she hated all of it. and in truth, as afraid as sidney was of being separated from everything she knew as she had been, she was relieved. relieved just to be free, for however long that might last. still, when she turned and saw someone close to her, sidney jumped, almost tripping over herself. “god, i’m sorry.” she said quickly, realising her reaction had caught the other persons’ attention.
dc was a place to relax, for namine. she couldn’t recall a single moment in her lifetime where she had total freedom, and it was nice. she knew it wouldn’t last forever since she still had things to do, but she realized no one knew her here, and no one could find her here. sketchbook in hand, she wandered around, searching for something to draw. she had paused, a bird catching her until someone started beside her. she hadn’t even noticed the other girl. “oh, no, it’s fine. i’m sorry for startling you.” she paused. “are you alright?”
