I'm not one myself, but I literally don't see the harm in wearing a mask and walking around on all fours, if you identify as the animal or not. You know? Funny thing about having both Bipolar 2 and C-PTSD is that at least for me, my episodic cycles come with occasional spikes in the other direction, and I have all sorts of other issues on top of that, which I won't get into here. I'm currently in a depressive episode that keeps wavering from mild to almost severe on a day-by-day basis (still consistent depression) and the funniest part of it all? I keep thinking about my mom who claimed to have it but nobody knows the actual truth since she's dead.

So I just got professionally diagnosed with Bipolar 2 today, and it explains literally so much. It explains all the nights I stayed up for anywhere from 24-60 hours, it explains why I get so depressed in the winter and so active and erratic in the summer (according to my theory), it explains how my mood can shift so horribly and so much, it explains SO. MUCH. It's too early to tell where I am right now but I've got a decent chunk of extra energy at the moment. Hypomania (usually) isn't a big deal for me, I just breeze right through it and manage to get something done in the process, it's the depression that's horrible. I've kinda known for a long time something beyond just major depression and anxiety was wrong, and this just confirmed it for me.

I just wanted to talk about this in long form somewhere and I *reeeeeally* don't wanna use reddit right now.
