When looking through a new set, I find it VERY challenging to tell which cards are new designs vs. which cards are reprints. (I felt this especially acutely in Foundations – the set was ~50% reprints, and it was always kinda frustrating not being told which cards were brand-new!)
Inspired by the ask about whether the "FF text" could help connote what world a card is from in the future: do you think it would be worth using that technology to indicate when a card is a reprint? Those of us who don't have all 25,000 magic cards memorized would really appreciate it :)
I'm asking this in all honesty. Why does that matter? If you've never seen a card before and it's new to you, why is it important that we communicate that it isn't new?
I've always wanted to know this because I like knowing how designs are evolving.
